Percussionists just have a natural knack for memorizing music. We have to memorize marimba solos because we can't pause for page turns unlike other musicians. That helps a heck of a lot. I actually was on the ISU snareline that came to U of I in 2009! We warmed up with your drumline, and it was a ton of fun!
After all these years: I remember downloading this cadence in .wav format off of the school's website when I was in high school. Great hearing it after all of these years!

Illinois has always had one of the best collegiate drumlines/bands.
@Lori LeSage - as a self-professed connoisseur of drumlines, Penn State is #1 as they have it all and then some. Just sayin'

Cymbal splits are really good, along with cymbal visuals. NEED TO INCORPORATE SOME OF THESE INTO PEP RALLY. Snares have some cool cascading visuals.
