That's why I'm doing this project, every barber I go to always goes too high and I end up with hairs that stick straight out on both sides of the top

I love getting undercut hairstyle but I’d really would like to learn how to do it myself but I don’t understand at all what you mean by when you said “where you see the disconnect”. In your video I like my undercut to be clipped at the same height level as your mannequins undercut so would you say that when we use the comb to do the divide line to divide the hair to clip it up should be at temple level or at the level of a persons brow arch?

I was the victim of a haircut crime once... I had long hair, long enough that I would sit on it at times and give myself whiplash from it, so I went to get it a bit shorter, told them to leave it below the shoulder, ended up with a fucking bob cut I couldn't even tie back, so I had to go to another shop and get it fixed by cutting it even shorter.

I have a disconnected undercut and although the line is straight it's slightly too high on one side, so to fix that I'm growing out the sides to a point where it can be reshaped and evened up

A multiple time victim. It's hit or miss everytime I go to a barber lol. Luckily I just wear a hat till the sides grow out enough

He has another video where he shows how to do it, and it looks surprisingly easy. A lot of people in the comment section had success with it. I don't know what it was titled, but I'm sure you can find it in search

DO NOT go to a barber if you're going for a style that requires long hair. They will screw up your hair 9 times out of ten. go to a salon that has good reviews. Barbers are good with electric clippers. They have little to know skill with scissors.

My barber cut way too high, It’s almost a Mohawk. He also messed up the line on the left side. After watching this video I shaved my head and decided to start over. 7 months of growth wasted. If you want something done right DO IT YOURSELF…

it happens. Sadly there is the same risk if you do it yourself. Let my hair grow for 5 months and thought about giving myself an undercut and did the same mistakes: Cut too high and messed up the line at the back of my head thanks to my cowlick. The only way to fix that was to shave my head. Doomed if you pick the wrong barber and doomed if you mess it up. Maybe I will ask a friend next time if he can give me a haircut.
