    Hey Chris here, thanks for checking out the video. Just to correct myself. I got it wrong about the part where I say if the horse wins you lose your place part of the each way. If it wins you do indeed still win the place part of the bet at 1/5 odds or 1/4 depending which is offered. Sorry for the confusion.

      glad you corrected yourself, 90 seconds in and I was wondering if this guy knows what he is talking about, of course you wont lose your ew part of the bet if the horse wins. Considering you took the time to make to video, to clear up points in your previous videos (as you stated).......do you think you should have tied a bit harder?

    Your a credit to the art of match betting, I've just began watching your videos recently. I have a side question to ask? Setting up a VPN, do you have video explaining how you utilise this? Do you switch this on, and select watch country you want to pretend to reside from for the VPN? as surely the bookmakers want to see your IP address is from the UK, is this just a simple manual box click? best regards Shane

    Feels like this is more back to gambling rather than matched betting you are relying on the house finishing in that extra place or 2 and if not your taking roughly a £3+ qually loss each time until your hourse eventually finishes in that place 🤷‍♂️

    • @ProfitBoss
      @ProfitBoss  Před 2 lety

      Hey, many people have said this but if you think about it. When a bookie gives you odds to bet at they are massively putting them in their favour so they end up on top in the long run. All we are doing with this strategy is putting the odds in our favour so we can profit over months of doing it. Thanks

    This is just gambling and trusting over time that it will equal itself out slightly in your favour. There's a very good chance you'll lose a lot of or even all of your money before you even start to get any of it back. I'm really not convinced. I suppose the advantage is the bigger odds horses are more likely to finish around the 5th and 4th places ahead of a £1 bet on it to win (throwing your money away).
    Can you explain what the percentage match means? Is that linked to a loss ratio?

    • @ProfitBoss
      @ProfitBoss  Před rokem +1

      Hi Andrew, all I can go off are my results and results of hundreds of members I have which have been using the EP strategy. It works because you are only betting when taking an advantage and placing bets when the odds are massively in your favour. Yes not every bet will win but the times it doesn't you are losing a minimal amount of money and then when the bets do land you are winning 3 bets at once. The back bet, the win lay and the place lay. Be sure to join me on a Saturday when I live stream for 2.5hrs to show people exactly which bets to take in order to be profitable over time. Thanks

    Your videos are great but just to point out. You have stated that you lose your place bet if the horse wins. This is not the case. A £5 each way bet for 3 places consists of a £5 bet for the horse to win and a £5 bet for the horse to finish in the top 3 (including first place). If the horse wins you win both the win bet and the place bet

    Can you give an example of a EP that you would take. Ie stake. Odds. QL and profit

    • @dylanwilliams5207
      @dylanwilliams5207 Před rokem

      Odds don't matter. It's all about your QL and IO (Implied odds) which are on the matcher. To find a good IO, take the number of runners in a race, times it by 1.5, and anything above that is a good value bet for an EP. For example: if there are 12 runners in a race, any IO above 18 is decent to take (12 x 1.5 = 18). If you are not happy with the QL you're presented with then lower your stake on the matcher and it should all update.

    Why do you use the each way extra place calculator when all the numbers are already on the extra place matcher. I'm guessing the extra place matcher is the same as the one on PA where you simply click the link to the bookie and the exchange.

    If you back a horse with an odds boost, is that boost only applicable to the win part of the bet even though you're placing an EW bet at boosted odds? I think I messed up on a WH boost when attempting EP bets

    • @ProfitBoss
      @ProfitBoss  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Gribby, so I have to hold my hands up and admit I really thought the odds boost applied to the Win and EW part. Now I check William Hill terms after over 2 years of doing this to find out that you are indeed correct the Win part is only boosted. So I will do a video on how to lay with boosted odds. Basically if you overlayed like I have been doing and you layed the EW part with more than you needed because you thought it was boosted (as I did) then you would actually be better off provided the horse finishes outside of the lay bet on the EW part so 4th onwards or 5th or worse depending on the race. Hope that helps.

    Did you just say that if the horse wins you don't get paid for the place part?

    • @craigk621
      @craigk621 Před 3 lety +1

      He did but admits that's a mistake, per another post below. If it wins you obviously do get paid for the place part with the bookie and lose the place part with the exchange.
      So to clarify (although I think you probably know all this anyway).
      If the horse wins it's a qualifying loss:
      1. You get paid the win and place for the e/w bet by the bookie (back) and you lose the win and place part in the exchange (lay).
      If the horse comes in ANY normal place position, (but not the extra place) but doesn't win the race:
      2. you win the place part of the each way bookie (back) and you lose the place part of the exchange bet (lay). You lose the win part of the bet with the bookie (as it hasn't won) and win the win part with the exchange lay bet.
      But this again is the qualifying loss.
      3. Obviously if it comes outside all the place positions (i.e. outside both the normal exchange place positions AND the bookie extra place) you lose all of your bookie bet and win both the win lay and place lay on the exchange. Another qualifying loss.
      For 1., 2. And 3. the odds between the bookie and exchanges need to be close overall (eg the win differences could be offset by place differences the other way) so you don't lose too much when the horse DOESN'T fall in the extra place.
      So to the "Extra place":
      4. If it finishes in the extra place, you lose the win part of the bookie bet (back) and win the win part with the exchange (lay)- so in effect a partial qualifying loss - BUT you win the place part of the bookie back bet AND get paid out (win) the lay place part with the exchange because it hasn't finished in the "normal" place part as far as the exchange is concerned.
      Obviously there's gonna be variance so you need a relatively big payout against small qualifying losses.
      This works best with ideally say 2 or 3 screens rather than tabs. The best thing to do is to practice with tiny stakes , on a race that Chris "wouldn't bet on" just to give you a bit of practice of the mechanics.
      With horses the odds fly around on the exchanges in particular, but can also with a lesser extent with the bookie, so you do have to be quick.
      Personally I'd like to see Chris live stream some practice ones with really small stakes pre Cheltenham to show how the odds move.

    Do you need to be covering several horses per race to make these work. Do these all need backing and laying individually. A lot of the horses might never get a good match, and then QL could get quite high.

    Shame the bookies don't do a place only market with these extra place races.
    Can't think why they don't 😉
    Also if everyone is laying the place on the exchanges, (per this EP strategy) I'm wondering if that means the odds on the lay (and therefore back ) would get bigger and there would be an advantage play on the exchanges by backing the place on those races. I know that's not what this is about but kinda interesting.
