I really appreciate the effort put into these videos - the amount of footage and different locations are amazing! You really are a great teacher, thank you!
You would be a great travel agent. Forget the big cities. I want to see small town Japanese culture!
Rice with tea, cold noodles and smashing watermelons 🍉 are all now on my to-do list. Thank you 🙏 Aki San.
Thank you Matcha-san for another cheerful and informative video. Someday when I visit Japan I want to eat somen. It would be great to visit a small village like yours.
I'm glad she showed you Tajin on fruits; it's so good 😊 thank you for sharing with us
I liked everything but the fish and ham part. Looks so sweet and fun. Take care. Happiness and thanks to you.
Same ✌🏼💚🌱
Thank you dear Aki for showing us your summer time in Japan. :) During hot summer days in Germany most people feel a kind of fatigue. I enjoy light food like watermelon, cherries, strawberries, smoothie, salads or wraps. Germans love to have a barbecue in the summer evenigs when the weather has cooled down. We like to sit together with friends and family.
Watching your videos and other videos about Japan helps me stay sane in this crazy world 🙏 Thank you, what a lovely video! With greetings from Latvia 🇱🇻
I like the noodles and the bamboo one best. Nice video. I didn’t know these things in Japan. Looking forward to learn more.
Everything looks so delicious. Thank you for sharing this Video
Thank you for your energy in your videos and sharing amazing Japanese history and culture in Japan. Always so beautiful.
I love salt on my watermelon! I laughed out loud when you spit out the tajin haha. Can't wait for that ghibli exhibit video!
Love cold noodles in the summer! ☀️😎
What a sweet and entertaining vid. You are so nice with all the people and explaining all so sweet. You are too cute , and I think a great teacher for the kids. Love and Light from Europe 💞
It is very hot where I am at and I often feel lazy or very tired but things like cold soba noodles helps 😊
Eating somen looks like a really fun way. Looking forward to your video on ghibli/ghibli museum.
Lovely and interesting as always. Really an inspiration to us people living very urban lives. I have incorporated your early walk + garbage clean and the toilet clean for now. It's very refreshing. Also got a Yukata for homewear.
Do you have any books/philosophers/thinkers from Japan that you can recommend to people that are interested in knowing more about the cultural principles you follow?
Read Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa
@@markdav90 Will do, thank you!
Loved that bamboo and noodle! Also that yellow watermelon was very unique!!🤤
Zoro san...

Catching your dinner as it slides away sounds fun! Great video!
Great video, fun and insightful as always!! Greetings from Brazil!
I’m gonna watch it later but I know I’m gonna love it
Thank you for sharing! Positive energy brings joy to everyone.
I'm so hungry now! 🤤 What delicious food!!!
I can't wait to try these recipes! I'm in California and it has been 100F for the past week, so I need some cooling food. I have been feeling natu bate all week!
In Mexico, we do the same to piñatas. Cover your eyes, turn around a few times and then try to hit the piñata.
Tajin is very spicy, even for Mexicans like me.
Nice vid!
These cooling recipes look delicious! Thank you for sharing. Stay cool 😎
I’ve never seen a yellow watermelon before. I live in a tropical country so we have lots of fruits but not that one. I’ll definitely try the dish with salmon. Looks delicious!😋 Thank you!😊
They come in a few different colours. If you can get them in Australia then you should be able to get them most places. The yellow I think are called champagne melons. You get oranges, pinks, whites and deep reds.
Yaaay food!! Yaaay Japan!! Yaaaay Ghibli!!! Yaaay Aki!!!
Nagashisomen looks so fun, thank you for the tid bits of Japanese traditions. Your videos always bring so much positivity ❤️🙏🥀

They all look yummy, I think the cold Ramen at the end would be good. Here if Florida USA it gets hot and appetites go quickly away. Hugs
It is so good I found you. Your minimalist is extreme for me but I am amazed by you and inspired. As I live in the South emispher...could you make please also recipes for winter and yes many recipes would be good as we can see the minimalist style even there :) Thank you so much for your channel!
The food games look pretty fun, I'd love to try :D
竹から作ったかー!楽しそうなシャアハウスだね👍

All those dishes look fantastic. I love the idea of rice with tea poured on it. Will try it as soon as the weather warms up. It's still chilly in Sydney so the idea of summer fatigue is very appealing! 😍
I love the watermelon game! I’m going to try it with my family this summer.🥰
Also, I loved your reaction when you tried the spicy peppers on it - so cute! 😄😄😄 It made me feel really good to be able to laugh out loud.💛

Aki, I wish I could visit you in Japan!I learnt a lot from you. Love from an "elderly" woman in Germany ❤
It seems so funny to eat pasta from a slide. Pretty weird from my spanish point of view. By the way, I love Ghibli too. Their films are so magical and delicate.
I love your videos you have really good energy - thank u for the effort
I'd love to drink matcha with you someday if I ever get the chance to visit Japan!! :))
I really loved the Nagashi somen tradition, and surelly I will taste your sauce recipe. Thank you again for your beautifull and cheerfull videos 🙏
Rice with tea over it, and a few condiments - so simple! (having some for my lunch!)
The noodles sliding down bamboo looks so fun, and watermelon 'piñata!! (I don't want sweet on melon either!!)
Yehey!!!!wow 🫣👍✌️🤎
We have a tea shop in the city that serves food and they have delicious Ochazuke. It is what I always order. This is here in the USA.
I have always loved your videos for a long time. Seeing you post videos and learning more about Japan makes me so happy! Want to visit someday. Even learning Japanese in my free time!

空き時間に日本語を学ぶことさえ
Also! You are the reason I have gotten into drinking matcha
Love it!!
thank you so much!!!
I like the one you gave the recipe for the sauce.
This is a really nice video. You have done a great job showing us the Japanese summer foods. Beautiful. I love the bamboo noodle slide and the blindfolded watermelon smashing!! So much fun. And yes Rice with Tea! What a great idea. Thank you.
Loved this ❤ natsukashiiiiiiii
I Love this! We did something similar where we live out. This video actually gave us inspiration and hope that we can still become successful, thanks so much for this video. You are my idol and your videos have taught me so much.
I would like to try both the flowing noodles and hitting a watermelon 😅
Thanks for sharing! I've been curious about ochazuke for a while because of the 'ochazuke sisters' in the Midnight Diner series (深夜食堂)--sounds tasty!
I live in the Appalachian mountains in Pennsylvania here in the United States in a more rural area. I think it gets so humid for where I am because we have so much plant life. We have a lot of land that is still forest but also a good deal of farms, for weeks on end this year we had humidity levels stay around 80%. Very familiar with summer fatigue, that’s for sure. Will have to try to remember some of these recipes for next year because the more good summer recipes the better.
Never heard of Nagashi somen! Amazing! Thank you! ☆
Hi!!! OMG tajin is very popular in México 🇲🇽 most pf people love it!!! Jajaja 😂😂😂 your reactions when you teasted was so funny!!! Like your friend says we put in fruits and vegetables also put lemon and salt its delicious!! 😋 I’d never seen a yellow watermelon 😮 remember me something we call “piñata” its a very similar activity but its not a fruit but we hit it and when it breaks have candys. Very fun video!!!! A pleasure see you like always ❤️❤️❤️
Over all the food looks good but I know I would enjoy the watermelon. Where I live we have all 4 seasons. The weather is starting to cool off in a little bit. By next month it will be definitely fall here. I think that I'll probably try coming to Japan in early fall but it will probably be a few years between regulation to enter Japan currently and the cost of flying.
Thank you for this interesting video! I am so curious, how these dishes taste like! I will try them, they will being some fresh ideas to my kitchen! 👍🙂
