Idk why people say branding isn't painful, it is excruciating when it touches the skin! Yes it doesn't hurt once it's over (until that burnt layer sloughs off then it hurts again), but actually having it done is probably one of the most intense sensations you'll ever experience. I had a large electrosurgical brand done.
I got branded (purposefully) at 14, I enjoyed it after only 3 shots of vodka. I also have a weird enjoyment of pain so I guess that plays into it. It’s all tolerance. I’ve had a torn AC joint for 6 years now and kinda like messing with it, lol.
God, this guy is a lot better than some of the others i've seen. I've seen guys who do it with pieces of red hot metal heated with a blow torch. This is much safer.
+Skits O-Plentias more the weird part of the comment section. This video actually is just giving information about something quite popular and commonly known.
I have branded myself once, it came out nice and honestly the pain is not bad definitely bearable. But it is too bad there are no more artists out there so we can get these done professionally. Because clearly he did a great job.
imagine doing a large black area on your body using this, I'm sure this feels uncomfort already I cant imagine scribbeling in until its solid, not for me mann
Jakk Frost To be honest, even though we are built for birth doesn't mean it doesn't hurt a shit tone, it still goes for women as well, we just put up with the pain more because at the end of birth it's worth it to see a creation of two people (Or whatever sciency stuff happened)
KatieKuma Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's pleasant, just that it's been scientifically proven that women can handle more pain than men. If I recall correctly, childbirth is measured to be like 2 or 3 times more pain than a male can physically bear, maybe more. So, in relation, women can handle the pain of things like waxing, tattoos, or this branding, easier than men can.
I have used a wood burner/pyrographer, it wasn’t great. I put the heat too high and ended up burning a lot of tissue around the design, kind of blown out. Took forever to heal and I think I might have gotten close to bone as I did it on top of my ankle joint and after cauterizing the nerves I think I lost a bit of the sense of depth. The scar ended up looking ok, its a circle with a dot in the middle (astronomical sign for the sun). the wood isn’t able to be sterilized, my wood burner had a wooden handle and I think the wire in it contains nickel 😮. I have done others after this first but with a discardable cauterizing tool that is used for dentistry and esthetic procedures. The results are a lot clearer. Unfortunately all the cauterizations I have done on my legs became inflamed/infected at some point of the healing, I work with animals and a lot of debris so it was quite hard maintaining them sterilized. I ended up using silver sulfadiazine to treat them and remove the dead tissue.
I have been thinking about getting this done over the past year after seeing how amazing it looks after its healed..After seeing this done i may have to go speak to some artist who dose branding ... TY for posting this it was cool to see
The nerves are scorched away so there is little to no feeling at all within moments. And he wears a mask because the smell of cooking human flesh is stomach churning.
@@aroseprince nah doesn't hurt but for a second. Honestly I can't stand sharp pain like needles or cuts or pinching. But burns are like a duller, shorter pain. Except when it doesn't burn your nerves, cause then it really hurts and throbs, otherwise it only hurts for maybe 2 seconds and if you still scared just slowly apply the heat, getting closer and closer to your skin as it get cooler and cooler and you can apply it when you're comfortable and it hurts less
Thats the tool they use in the hospital to remove your nails. I had it done a few years ago when my finger nail was infected. The doctor burned through it very carefully with the tool and cut it away. It was painless.
This is the most informative video I've seen on branding- so far, anyway. A lot of good questions answered. I'll stick with tattoos, though. I love them. I got mine for purely aesthetic reasons; when well done, tattoos are an art form. I never went for shock value; I wear modest feminine clothing to 'balance out' the large pieces on my arms. When I see branding on people who are already heavily modified, I feel they're less likely to regret those brands.
Ironically I’m seeing this as you posted it five years ago and I’ve gotten a tattoo from a shop in morehead. Was it at inkspiration? Didn’t know they did branding too
I have scars and I don't like how they feel. I personally, would never do something like this to myself on purpose. It's cool to look at other people do it, though.
I've just branded myself with a cauteriser.ive experienced a lot of pain in my life and I would put it at around 5out of 10. Not bad at all.i love it ❤
I've branded myself. First time was a key it stayed like a key for about a year now it's just a blob. Since I can't cauterize I just heat up a piece of metal and slowly work the designs in with a lighter. It has held its design well but since I can't get the right temperature with a lighter I've had to go over it a few times. I am all for tattoos and piercings but somewhere you have to draw the line. This is waaaay to much for me. If they say that I does not hurt all that bad I think they are full of it. The first touch has to hurt like a butch and 3rd degree burns get infected, almost 90% of the time, because on the burned spot there is no skin left to stop the pathogens (2nd degree have blister that protect the inner layers of burnt tissue from the infection). You can't put anything on the wound unless it is absolutely sterile and that is pretty tough for home treatment, you would have to visit a doctor almost every day for the next few weeks to put a new sterile bandage on it and take antibiotics if you don't want any complications and for it to heal properly.
You have to understand that bra dings and tattoos are a cultural thing. More so with branding, people who get branding a usually have specific reasons. I have a friend who got a branding and it did not hurt her very much at all. Also, much like a tattoo, if treated properly it won't get infected. Also like a tattoo, if you don't take care of it, then it will get infected. All in all, if you aren't willing to take care of your tattoo/branding then that person simply shouldn't get one.
