Lyrics:
I'm going away to be alone
I'm coming back with answers
Don't try to call
My telephone, it's disconnected
And I don't know where I'm going
But can you guide me
But if I find love where I'm going
Will it survive me?
[Pre-Chorus 1]
Cause in your own space
You're disconnected
And in your own mind
You're not affected
And in your own time
You're still attracted but in your own life
[Chorus 1]
This heart attack
I've gotta get away not coming back
I want some downtime
So call me when you can and I'll be fine
[Verse 2]
I've found the time to be alone
I don't know what you're asking
I'm waiting by the telephone
And you're still barking
My heart stops, it isn't going
Could you revive me?
I think I'm lost without knowing
So come and find me
[Pre-Chorus 2]
Cause in the same space
We're disconnected
And in your own mind
You're not attracted
But in your own life over reacted
And in your own time
[Chorus 2]
This heart attack, I think
I'll go away not coming back
I'm off the line
So call me when you can some other time
This heart attack
I've gotta get away not coming back
I want some downtime
So call me when you can and I'll be fine
[Verse 2]
Sometimes if we don't go
Sometimes you don't know
You don't go, I don't go
I don't go, you don't go
I've got your back
But you don't got mine
This heart attack
Then I'm feeling fine
[Chorus 3]
This heart attack
I've gotta get away I'm not coming back
I'm 'bout to flat line
So call me when you can some other time
This heart attack
I've gotta get away not coming back
I want some downtime
So call me when you can and I'll be fine
[Outro]
I'm going away to be alone
I'm going away to be alone
I'm going away to be alone
I'm going away to be alone - Hudba
Who else remembers Saturday morning with Video Hits and/or Rage rage r-r-rage when it was this song, Eskimo Joe Black fingernail red wine, Hearts A Mess - Gotye and that fucking song about ping pong every week for a year.
👌🙌🙌 those were the days haha
Hell yes. Sitting in Adelaide today under lockdown you realise how far this country has fallen
"Just a song about ping pong"
*PTSD Intensifies*
haha the ping pong song that band went to my school - i remember all of this
yessss dude... ughh can we please go back
did not realise they were Australian... the nostalgia in one song
You learn something new everyday
the drummer (Paul Berryman, also in the band The Superjesus) is from my home town!
Freo boiii
Wake up Wanker .
I thought they were from UK because of their accent, but it was just a impression
I remember listening to this when I was a teenager, miserable & living rural in Australia. I used to dream of running away, thinking it would make me happy. I never realized that I didn't need to run away for good, I just needed to find substance.
Beautiful song.
you found substances alright
Which substance? Crystal meth? Heroin? Cocaine? It's odd you had to leave because meth is pretty abundant in Australian regional towns.
Im guessing NT
he protec
he heart attac
but most importantly
he gotta get away not coming bac

this song was my favorite when i was studying in australia. most of the student unions were arranging welcome parties for new students and this song was trending those days
Man this song is so underrated I always thought it was so much bigger
I heard this on rage when I was like 13, and the chorus sounded so weird to me, but I loved the song. Almost 10 years later, this song is so much more chilled than what I listen to now. It's actually quite relaxing. Shame they broke up. This kind of music really has a large niche following nowadays.
I agree with the chorus, lol, very weird but i like it now more then i ever did when i was young
Feels weird growing up and being able to relate to the lyrics
When I joined the army, they let us have a boom box at basic training. We bought a mix tape of the hits of the day, this was the stand out. I’ve never heard this on the radio, guess we’re too close for nostalgia. But it transforms me to a certain time, certain place.
PT Bondi?

I’m Aussie and remember first seeing this on the telly, most likely rage of a Saturday morning. I would have been around 12 and remember the first line being sung and my mum saying “what!?? He’s coming back with axes?” 😂 after hearing it a few more times it became well loved and to this day every time someone announces that the internet is disconnected, we all sing AHahhh AHAhh ❤
This song brings a smile to my face, it reminds me of my good friend who often sang it at work, sadly he passed away in 2016. I wish i could hear him sing it again. RIP mate
I miss Faker. I remember seeing them at Falls Festival with Lykke Li, The Kooks, Franz Ferdinand, and Tegan and Sara back in 2008. What a great NYE that was!
Wow what a lineup I would have loved to have been there
So jealous.
Hey I remember too!
12 years fliesssss :'(
gah 2008 Kooks... take me back...
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR 6 YEARS OMFG IM SO HAPPY
legit?
yes! I used to listen to this with my dad all the time as a kid and i forgot the name!
i’ve had that experience with a different song before , but it didn’t take me 6 years to find it
The memories I have to this song being my tune of the summer over a decade ago got my first girl friend, drove out to Phillip Island with her friends partied blasted this track over a weekend, came back to Melbourne three days later I she called it off due to perusing studies abroad , this song will always remind me of that summer and the feeling of first love and first heart break haha .
Good memories dude.
Hahah dude that’s so funny, I was in year 7 when this came out and I had my first mrs brings back so many mems
How does this only have 1.2m views? Song is iconic!
Have you not realised what it is?
@@spudgypang2025what is it?
bro we thought it was big, but we're australian - there's nothing wrong with it but it's a small world here
^ the truth
I remember listening to this song agesss ago. I'm nineteen now and haven't heard it since I was twelve!!
Same here, i remember playing ps1 to this song
Tristan Marsh Oh, perhaps this person kept his playstation one for ages and by the time the song was released he still had it. I'm not too sure either.
Yeah, i never really moved on from my n64 and ps1

Omg throwback!!! So glad I get to enjoy this song now as a 28 year old
this song bring me back so many good memories from my life in Australia.
This song is gold, I reckon it will be one of those songs that will be around for many years too come.
2023 still going strong
@@mattpullen3062 Don't delude yourself. No one knows this song except millennials who are latching onto the past like desperate fucking freaks. Grow the fuck up.
Dismissed.
This song is a low key banger
I went to southbound about 10 years ago to see Faker in Busselton Western Australia and missed their set, so devo! still love this band 🙌🏻
Brilliant! And Nathan's owns the stage at their live gigs! Saw them at the Enmore once, the audience went off
I met these guys & got their autograph when I was a kid at Sydney Airport. Such friendly & humble dudes.
The nostalgia is real. When I was younger I would non stop listen to this song and it would help cope with hard times.
My uncle use to play keyboard for this band, pretty cool.
Sick
my uncle works at nintendo!
My uncle had a heart attack
Best line-up for the band ever 💗
Pretty proud to say that these guys were my first live show ^_^

This was my jam. I used to sing this so dramatically/violently back in my scene days 😂
Classic Australian song !!!! These guys should have been epic 🇦🇺
Holy shit, I used to hear this song so often when I was like 7 or 8 but I didn't even remember how it went until I got to the chorus
love this song so much! It will never be outdated!! ❤
This song had a GRIP on my life for a whole year when it came out and then I forgot about it entirely til now
Still remember it?
@@VNexoV of course
how does this have less than a million views this is a hit in its day
It now has 1.4m views
wow had major crush on the lead singer and the whole band back in the day. Such a great tune, many great memories!
imagine a dodgy radio on a rural ambulance vehicle have this song come on after picking up a patient in critical condition.
Man last i heard this was almost 10 years ago back in school. Only a few weeks ago my work had it playing through the store radio channel. Farrr out it threw me back! Probably my most played song now in the past week now ahahahaha!!! Didnt even know they were fellow aussies too!
2006-2007 those were the days . We were wild young and free ….
I'm studying nursing and my lecturer opened the coronary artery module with a snippet of the song...BEST LESSON EVER! reminded me of this amazing band

What a great hidden gem.
I remember listening to this when I was 8, this my bloody jam omg I miss this music (not complaining bc I love today's music but I still get nostalgic)

I only ever remember the music video and not the song! So glad I found the song
Fuarkkkkk its been ages since I last listened to this song. Way back in 2009 when it got released.
robo2000nitro It was released in 2007.
Can't get this song out of my head it been there for a month straight, love it
Farkk, this song is the definition of what you'd hear on Coles radio or in Big W back in the day.
love this song, and I have never heard of their great music.
Has such a Cure sound to it!
Good observation.
yeah nah totally does now that you mention it
Yeah, it does.
This guy sounds like Robert Smith
I saw these guys live back in 2009 when they were touring with Pink… they were awesome!!
this tune is on my wholesome music playlist
Memories of living in aus, this was huge at the time. Better times 😢
He went away to be alone and we haven’t seen him since. Every cloud.
Oh wow I remember this song! whoah oh oh ohhhh! Love it! Rock On Faker! xxx
I don't care weather you would believe me or not, but i just met the lead singer Nathan, he is a really cool dude and a very motivational. and this video defiantly deserves more views.
Patrondreamz, your awesome. I love it when this song gets stuck in your head for days.
This song was everywhere when I was around 6 or 7 and I had been looking for it FOR YEARS until I finally found the title today
This song reminds me so much of a mate that lived next door to me 18 years ago when my ex left me and I was devo. He was heavily into Faker and took me in kinda. I found a new band I love. Every time I hear this I go back to when he and I bonded.
Wow. I'm just going through all the music I grew up with and the name of this song sounded familiar. I USED TO LOVE THIS SONG!! 0u0
am i the only one who sees even peters??
Disconnected Castaway SAME I THOUGHT IT WAS
Disconnected Castaway i like ur name
Amara R more like an older tom holland
RumpleForeskin thats what i was thinking!
Amara R me to
One of the best songs
Seeing as this video is actually an Australian band i dont think people are really trying to say a certain country is the best i think they are just proud of this band for making it big because the Australian music industry isnt very successful with outsourcing and its really hard for bands like this to branch out to get big in other countries.
i love this still so much
Great song by a great aussie band. STRAYA
This song has something special!
Love this song!!!
never get sick off this song.
this was the shit back in the day.. this and green day was my childhood
I saw them perform live and they were just as good, better even, than recorded.

I’ve only known this song for three days already know all the words to it
Love the song n voice . I may be 62 but I love the music.
So beautiful and sad...
I didn't know Evan Peters was in a band
