UIL State United Marching Band: "La Fiesta Mexicana" 2012

- The Mighty Longhorn band performed this show for the 2012 - 2013 marching season. This performance was at the UIL Texas State Marching Competition, in November. "La Fiesta Mexicana" was composed by H. Owen Reed, and was arranged by Raff. The movements in order of appearance are as follows:
1. Prelude
2. Aztec Dance
3. Carnival
4. Mass
The band is composed of about 250 students, freshman through seniors.

Yeah, both pieces are amazing. And I really enjoy the original concert piece. =D
I really wished my school did this instead of Shaharezad. Still, at least we played it for wind ensemble.

Jason, every song you've ever heard a marching band do is stolen .. lol ... for instance I performed Malaguena in the late 80's.... still being used today. ... what's you're point ?

Two chime sets? Why, for heaven's sake? and timpani in everything....sooner or later, one realizes that the over-writing for percussion in marching bands ruins the original intent.
lol dude this started out originally started out as a regular band piece, I've played it before.
Most performances of this piece have two chime players
