I am so glad Charlie Stayt did that. What an awful and unprofessional situation caused by Naga Munchetty. Hannah dealt with that so well despite being completely embarrassed and ashamed, she pulled through. The poor business as well, thought they were agreeing to a fun story, bit of free advertising, what could go wrong? Oh it just so uncomfortable to watch. Why would you keep Naga in that role? I'd have her moved either to a back office or into Hannah role by the end of the day. Then Hannah can be bumped up to host.

Wow, Naga managed to suck the life out of a segment on ice cream in summer. There must be countless folks who could do her job better. All you need is some personality and empathy, just like Hannah who handled that really well.

Charlie has gone way up in my estimation, for the way he called Naga out. I've seen him on TV, but not very much. I always found his demeaner a little pompous, just a first-impressions kind of thing. But he stood up for a colleague in a lesser role, at personal risk of damaging the important connection he has with his co-host and the perception of chemistry which is required. There was absolutely no need for Naga to leave the reporter hanging like that, with closed negative responses. I love how Naga tries to laugh it off, and Charlie doesn't accept her cue. She was quite happy to make the reporter feel awkward on live TV, but couldn't handle it herself.
I often squirm at some of the things Naga says live on air, but hadn't seen this before. How unprofessional. I am glad Charlie said what he did. She looked like she felt as stupid as what she said.
What a miserable woman, still she is one of the BBC staff who can do NO wrong has we,ve seen from her behaviour in the pass. Bless the two ladies with the ice cream, I’d have said, “ thank goodness for that, we don’t need to waste bringing you any, more for us ,and the crew, hurray.” 😃 ( while thinking, who kicked you out of bed this morning 🥴)
