what about kz zsx with the az09 pro bt adapter, i got both for a total of 55 which is cheaper than what i could find all the others in this list, my sister has air pods pro and i think it sounds better than those
As someone who has just found your videos I would like to ask you, first of all, if you do much with headphones, and if you have ever built a set of headphones, specifically just 2 speakers hooked up to a female 3.5mm panel jack in a set of hearing protectors, for instance? Also, I would like to apologize before I get into the nuances of whet exactly I want to try and figure out, as I tend to make long posts, and repeat myself multiple times, while trying to find answers for separate but related questions... I'm looking to build a set of headphones without any circuitry inside, aside from the speakers themselves, for a removable cord set of headphones, as I generally don't like most kinds of headphones I have bought, and am wondering what I can do to make the experience as good as possible. Specifically, I'm currently looking at something about 2inches in size, that's not the standard coin looking plastic "magnetic" speaker, and found something on Amazon I like the looks of that has specs of around 3watts, and 4ohms, that is supposed to be a good speaker for use in things like raspberry pi devices and other similar things, and supposed to be full range as well. My main problem looking at different speakers, is the fact that different brands use different style cones and surrounds, as well as different types of speakers altogether, and I honestly don't know how to find a "good audio quality" speaker that looks pleasing to the eye... I found some with rubber looking surrounds and a hard plastic looking grey material, but I'm so used to the speakers having a tweeter dome in the middle when tearing stuff apart, even with cheap cardboard looking speakers in it, that I don't know if that's really necessary, nor do I know how to tell if a speaker is truly full range, just by looking at a picture of it. Obviously I'm looking for inexpensive speakers for use in my project, and my current ones I'm looking at are around 12-15$ for a set of 4 speakers, but again, I don't know what a good speaker, audio/range wise, is supposed to look like, nor what is going to be good as far as build quality and material goes, in relation to getting better sounding sound. I'm the kind of guy that would rather build something than buy it premade, just so you have an idea of how I prefer to do things, in case you were thinking I'm crazy for even thinking of doing something like this.(and it's ok if you DO think I'm crazy) If you know of a place I could go to get some guidance, or if you know anything about these kinds of projects yourself, getting an end product that sounds "good" for cheap, then any advice given, would be appreciated. It doesn't need to be audiophile grade help either, as I'm relatively new to custom built audio, and I'm just trying to get the information to get the right speakers, and to hook everything up properly, as well as to take pride in trying to do the best job I can do, now that I have a new soldering iron that should make my builds better by itself, necessitating the attempt to make the end product nicer looking...
Got the Akg 400 after this and that was a great purchase. I already have the buds pro and I would say they are similar but different and overall I like the sound more on the AKG. It has better technical performance and a larger, more accurate sound stage. Now the buds pro still sound better for some modern music and EDM but for rock, acoustic, classical, and most all else, I prefer the AKG.
Seems like they have a “faster” more responsive driver, overall, which is favorable for metal & rock. The drivers return to neutral more quickly, all to prevent the “muddy” effect produced by looser, bass-heavy drivers found in most other sets.
This is a crazy great video. I was going to skim through, but I ended up watching from the value king all the way to the end. Very informative. I hope you do something like this again in the future.
PSA: the AKG N400 have some quality control issues, ie drivers being dead on arrival, drivers dying soon after, drivers having harsh static, battery issues etc, if you're after a more complete, less frustrating tws experience the galaxy buds are a safer bet
Yeah, this. I have a pair and do generally like them well enough after learning to work around their problems, but any reccomendation of them needs to come with a big asterisk. At the price they go for now, though, I'd say they're worth a shot.
I love my Lypertek Tevis because I came from Final Audio E2000 and QDC Neptune, all of which are somewhat neutral but one issue I noticed after a year is that the left earbud has faulty contacts which makes it hard to charge. It's extremely frustrating to only have 15% left when you thought you left it charging overnight. There are also times when both of them disconnect when you take one off and have your hand hold it below the source(e.g. holding one earbud with your relaxed arm below your phone which is in your pocket).
I’m glad this popped into my feed. My buddy is anti name brand for whatever reason and asked me what are good waterproof buds to hike in. These woulda been perfect. I sidesteps those $22 Tozos cause cheap lol.
Your video has been so illustrative and I have learned A LOT from you, especially because you are so straight forwarded to say things. Thanks for that. Big cheers from Guatemala in Central America.
I've been rocking the buds + for well over an year now. They sound as you said well balanced and really good. The battery life is still really solid. I regularly use them for more than 4 to 5 hrs everyday, including meetings and music listening. The case size is one of the most pocketable cases, the buds fits really well in the ear, with the wing tips. Also, for my use case, I don't really need ANC and there have been quite a few firmware updates over the last year, which really improved the connection quality. The only this I wish it had is multi point connection.
i keep having to get old stock now all other galaxy buds are absolute garbage none of them have as good batter or even stay in ur damn ears Buds+ are the best
I used the buds plus for a year and got the Airpod Pros after I switched the iphone. The Pros sound much more neutral and less muddy, which I prefer over the buds+
I'm interested to see how wired IEMS measure against the best TWS buds on something like the UTWS5. They cost 130$ US, are hooks, and have a relatively bulky case, but the amount of value you can potentially get from them is enormous.
@@realaudioreviews Yeah, obviously, but you can't beat the convenience. It's always nice to see companies like FiiO trying to make the TWS adapters sound as close to wired as they can.
@@PKAWA Considering they only use a QCC3040 they probably sound about as good as the UTWS3, which uses the QCC 3020 with a discrete amplifier. That is really good value. That said, the UTWS5 is powered by the QCC 5040 which supports Aptx Adaptive and uses an AKM DAC. Overall it's mostly indistinguishable from my K3, which puts it at a tier above most other solutions.
I had the original Galaxy Buds as my first true wireless earphones, and the Galaxy Buds 2 as a freebie when I got my Z flip 3. I never really heard other channels talk about it so I'm glad to see them here. If you own a Samsung phone, the brand will really incentivise users to get their buds like big sales or as an add on.
Sammy knows audio. It’s always been funny cause they pick the WEIRDEST things to brag about in marketing-totally ignore things like your comment. They make killer headphones, and they play super well with the Samsung flagships.. much like apple does with the AirPods.

got me some of the akg's on my birthday a couple months ago, and the only issues i can pin down after daily driving them for all this time would be them rarely not using the jingle of low battery and just dying at that point. other qualities godly and/or on par tho (yes, touch controls too), so a no-brain 10/10 for me right now.
Just like you said, I was researching wireless buds and stumbled on your channel. You do a great job and I was entertained even if I wasnt interested in the buds you were talking about.
WF-XM3 is fantastic with the only thing holding it back being the fit/size (foam tips help a lot with keeping them secure and comfortable). One of my favorite tuned tws buds and good soundstage even compared to similarly priced wired iems.
I bought the N400NC and used it as my daily driver for a week. I love crinacle but I think it's important to remember listening preference, as I came from Jabra 65/75t's and am now using sony wf1000xm4's. When I used the n400nc's, the touch controls were absolutely unusable, software was okay but not as good as Jabra, and the Harman tuning was too shouty for my tastes. However I bought a pair as a gift for someone else and they love it, so it's just really subjective
@@Hi_how_you_doing I like the tuning a lot, as I've used Tripowin Mele's with similar tuning, but I hate how the one dynamic driver struggles with percussion and melody and bass at the same time. It's a lot for one not-fantastic driver to handle and that's why I want to see better wireless IEMs ESPECIALLY WITH PROPER SOFTWARE INTEGRATION LIKE MULTIPOINT AND MIC PASSTHRU!!
@@rachidhf4579 I'm the opposite. Bass heavy sound takes the fun out of music for me. For me the fun is in the mids/upper mids where female vocals and guitars lie.
Do they have superior ambient sound? Ambient Sound is the main reason I have the Buds Pro. I use them at work. I need to be able to hear people talking to me, and I suffer from nerve damage. I need the music *loud* as well.
@@Wylie288 The Buds Pro easily have the best ambient sound on the market of any TWS. It's fine tunable to your hearing, (came in an update, so if you haven't updated you won't have it) and I've tuned it to a point where I hear no hissing or digital sounding noise. It's the closest to listening with your ears an ambient mode has gotten for me.
Using the Galaxy Buds Pro right now and I can confirm the sound quality, I love it. The battery is also good, the case is small and easy to get into the pocket. Quite a lot of advantages If there is one thing I would love some improvements, that is the ergonomy to get them to the same comfort level as the Airpods.
I’ve moved on to the earhooks I can use to drive normal IEMs. UTWS5 has issues with wanting to constantly connect to my phone when I don’t ask it to, but the TRN BR30 is better for that.
I started off with the UTWS2 but it died on me (likely due to severely heavy sweating when running). Moved to iBasso, used with my old UM Macbeths. The sound is just superb and brings new life to IEMs I had stopped using. Sweatproofing is still an issue (I have to use silicon tips turned inside out on the charging points) but the sound from them is really nice. (For the record, Macbeths were superseded by InEar Prophile 8s, which in turn were replaced by Mest)
I daily drive my Xm3s purely because of the noise cancelling when I'm out and about, when I first heard them raw it was fun for a bit but now I have them constantly eqed because I learned that I actually hate having way to much bass (keep in mind I'm still new to audio) and I like the mids to be a tiny bit brighter than neutral. Hopefully when I'm not broke I can get some better IEMs and headphones.
I have momentum’s 1 and i was testing it against my brothers airpods pros. The airpods surprised me, i had low expectations. The ANC is increadible. But compared to my Momentum’s, they sounded like a smaller headphone. As if the airpods were a tin can and the momentums were a speaker. The clarity and detail was all there. But my were kinda richer. Is that the soundstage that everyone is talking about?
I'm glad the Galaxy Buds pro made it. I love mine and have tried many others, wondering if it was just me who liked them or if my hearing was messed up.
I love this guy, I've heard of you here and there, never actually watched or anything from you but like god damn, love how real you are man. Keep it up!! :) (I have never laughed so much and learned and agreed so much all in once video)
To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. czcams.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
you're exactly what I was looking for, I used the right keywords "best sound quality earbuds 2022", you came in the first 5 results or so. Thing is, you're absolutely right, they spend so much time talking about the noise cancellation, mostly active, a feature I never felt I needed, if the passive noise cancellation is not enough, then maybe i'm in a place that's too noisy, go somewhere quieter to listen to music or have phone calls. All I care is sound quality and that they stay in my ears just doing regular daily life, not gonna run a marathon on them, so your video at least covers sound quality, I'll figure out the ergonomics somewhere else, and battery they all try their best with battery life, so nothing to worry about either
Currently have the Buds 2 and Buds Pro and I'm hooked on em. Definitely agree with you on that, they just work and work well. Before I was never a samsung user.
@@theyojo1656 the Buds pro. The High's are clearer and the low end is more detailed. The ANC and Ambient modes also work better. Call quality is also better.
@@theyojo1656 the battery lasts all day if I don't use anc. But ambient mode I can use the earbuds all day with it on or off. With anc on I'll get about 5 hours.
Oh man, LOVE this brash and honest review!! Need more of these please!! May have to check out those AKG as I sorely miss my AKG Y50BT headphones. Just bought the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pros and curious to know your thoughts. Thanks!!
Got the AKG N400 NCs today because of this video and I am enjoying them so far, but I am comparing them to my daily WF-XM3s and cant tell which one I like better. The AKGs seem to have better treble definition and a more "pure" sound, but the XM3s seem to sport a better soundstage and punchier bass. I'll try them for a few more days and see if theyre worth the switch, or stick with my XM3s. What are your guys' thoughts?
yeah me too, but I also like the Momentums, tuning is not great but if they take EQ nicely it's not big deal for me, that said N400 are even more ahead of competition once you are using EQ
I suggested Lypertek Tevi to my girlfriend a year ago since she was looking for a cheap but decent TWB. Excellent purchase indeed. We're not even close to knowledgeable when it comes to these things and I'm glad it got in the list. I would like to know though, what you think about the Lypertek Pureplay Z7. Tried looking for it in your website but it isn't there yet.
Found you because of Betty from switch and click and loved this vid. Proud of my Sony Wf-1000xm3. It was the only thing i could afford and at the time the xm4 came out. Felt rather small not being able to buy the latest model but as said here, latest doesn't mean better. Thank you for this! Looking forward to more content.
I have been using the original Galaxy buds for almost 3 years and I love them, very balanced sound and it's fun to play with eq and stuffs to push these buds even more.
I picked up the N400's even though I already own a pair of Galaxy Bud+'s. First impressions: the Buds are way more comfortable, with a much nicer fit, basically surpassing the N400's in every aspect of the experience... except sound. The N400's remind me of my 6xx, with a natural timbre and ever so slightly boomy bass. The Buds are well tuned, slightly less bass emphasized (on default profile), but have an artificialness to them that is especially noticeable when A/B'd People have complained about QC issues, but that's yet to be seen. The N400's at least *feel* like a premium product. I'll be keeping the Buds handy in case the N400's crap out on me, but I much prefer the sound coming out of them
I've only watched three minutes of this video & I've already hit the subscribe button‼️ The fact of the matter is how real and brutally honest you seem. The cherry on top? Your audio sounds GREAT so far‼️
What i love about the samsung buds is how cheap they are. You can get the buds 2 under 100$ which is insane for the sound quality and features you get.
As of today, the AKG N400s are *still* $47.99 on both AKG’s site and Harman Audio. I honestly think that these are just being pushed out at a very cheap price due to the quality issues and presumably these buds interfering with Samsung’s Galaxy Buds line in terms of sales if the N400s were marketed any more than what little was done for them. You still find them for higher prices from other sellers but those are generally due to different colorways while akg and harman audio sell them only in black.
I've owned the 65t for nearly 3 years. They do have a nice solid sound. They have also survived 3 Arkansas Summers with sweat, high heat, and much humidity...they have not failed yet.
I've got the 85t. My favorite aspect about Jabras buds though is that they use actual buttons instead of touchpads meaning that there's less potential for mistaps. Also they allow you to control all the most important functions (volume, track skip, ANC, voice assistant, etc.) WITHOUT needing to pull your phone out whereas almost every other TWS compromises on controls in some way.
I'm a big fan of the Status Audio Between Pros. Their marketing is kinda trash but the buds' sound itself is great. They're my go to audio equipment for chilling to music while I'm away from home. I wonder how they look on a frequency response chart.
I've found the Cambridge Audio Melomanias to be literally exactly the same sound quality as the Status Audios. Right now the CA's are 60 bucks, the case is much better, the battery life is much better and they are much more comfortable. Definitely recommend some Comply memory foam tips for them as well.
I really enjoy watching you and even that you gave me an advice by that I will go on (buy the galaxy buds) I want to continue watching the video and other videos from you. I can only say I appreciate you and your content and way of being and your style and please keep it going like that. Really big and meantful thumbs up👍👍👍
After 2 days of searching for my next pair I was pretty saturated with the youtubes of true wireless earbuds, yet 3 minutes into your video I felt compelled to like and subscribe, no matter what happens after.
I got myself some XM3 when they were lowered from 250 to 100€ over here. They are definitely big, both on the ears and the case, but at that price point the quality seems really awesome. My biggest problem with them is an occasionally unreliable connection though.
I used Jabra 65t for a long time till its battery health gone to hell (I used it for running during the day and wear it to sleep till the battery ran out on it own every night). I can assure you that it’s a solid bud. Great sound and comfortable fit. The current market price is amazing as well.
Great video, newly subbed! I'm surprised you haven't touched on any skullcandy true wireless buds yet. I would be interested to see where they would be in your lineup. Keep up the awesome work.
I really appreciate the clarification as to why certain sets are even in these categories. I just came from a channel where he placed the airpod pros in his "best 5 headphones of all time" and I still have a confused look on my face lol
I got the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro as a freebie with my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G phone back in June last year, and it's honestly what brought me back to the audiophile hobby. They sound great, and they're super convenient. I still have my Sennheiser HD 280 Pro headphones from 2009 when I first got into the hobby, those Buds Pro from last year, and then I got the BLON BL-03 and Sennheiser HD 58X within the last 2-3 months. Gonna eventually go up the ranks, but I'm enjoying the budget stuff first. P.S. I'm glad to see that your new channel revival is going well. 26.6k subscribers in a short amount of time. You'll be back to 100k in no time!
How would you compare the tuning on the Blon-03 to the 58x? The blon to be sounds very neutral and natural, besides the subbass. I've never heard the HD 600 series, but I do have a HE-400i which is good, if not a tad too much upper mids
@@mikafoxx2717 I would say that the BLON BL-03, compared to the HD 58X, is warmer, with more emphasis on the mid bass and lower mid range. Sub bass is also a little bit boosted on the BL-03, but then again the roll-off on the HD 58X or any of the HD 6-series is very abrupt below 50 Hz. The treble on the BL-03, while nice and natural, isn't nearly as resolving as the HD 58X, and that makes the soundstage feel smaller. Then again, the BL-03 has pretty okay soundstage for an IEM. I don't know how the HE400i would compare, as I haven't heard a pair yet.
@@Ricelord4 thanks for the comparison! I know they're no resolution kings, but they're good for keeping in a pocket all the time for good music on the go
@@mikafoxx2717 Anytime! I love these BLON BL-03, as well. I upgraded the cable to a Yinyoo 8 core silver-plated one, and I have a pair of Spinfit CP145 tips on the way (currently using a spare pair of CP360 in the meantime). It pushed the total cost to about $35 USD instead of just $22, but I think it's worth it. After looking at Crin's database, I'm thinking my next IEM purchase might either be the Etymotic ER2SE or the Moondrop Aria. They may not be S tier, but I can't quite afford the ones that are yet, and those are good value at just around $100. Maybe Blessing 2 one day lol.
@@Ricelord4 I wish you luck in your endeavors! I've been looking into an upgrade path for myself and I prefer over ear headphones. I've been trying to diy one, as well as looking for good local deals.
As an audio nerd. I am so happy to find this channel. I have been looking for an answer for a long time. I keep buying the hype earbuds but never seem to be satisfied. Little did i know...
Interestingly, its sister product AZ70 has better drivers but less Bluetooth codec support, which the end sound quality is said to be comparable to AZ60 with a better Bluetooth connection. AZ70 may be a good fit with iPhones and computers.
@@barrielui I've owned both the AZ70 and AZ60, the AZ70 sound wise was slightly better overall (maybe around 10-15% better). but the fit on the AZ70 was horrendous. The AZ60 solved the fitment issue. Connection wise, both were flawless on my iPhone XR and PC.
You've never experience ear violation until you've tried inserting classic etymotic IEMs. The triple flanged eartips are truly a new kind of deep penetration. I'd also have to agree about the mainstream buds. The Sony offering certainly aren't as terrible as they could be, given Sony's history of tuning monstrosities, but the only reason you'd really want the Sony is for their ANC. It really is like shutting a vault door. In that regard, they're great. In terms of sound quality... ...hmm, they do offer LDAC, which helps a bit if you enable it, but from a raw tuning perspective, Samsung is the winner. Even with only Apt-X LL, it's got great sound.
Exactly. I have the Sony WH-1000XM3s. The reason to have them, by far, is the unsurpassed ANC. Sony and Bose trade blows on who is the ANC top dog. They are comfortable, not fatiguing to listen to (which the Samsung Buds+ are, even Crin admits), have great battery life, and stellar Bluetooth performance, and the Android app that controls them is genuinely good. They sound... fine. If you dislike the tuning, you can EQ them a bit in the app. But honestly, what are you really going to listen to on them? CZcams/TikTok videos, podcasts, compressed audio from Spotify/Pandora, or white noise. Sony aimed at what mattered, QoL, and nailed it, and that's why they are popular.
I can completely forgive Sonys tuning with ANC that great. I have the WF and WH XM4's, I wore them at my old job where ripping boxes and people yelling around me was the norm. I didn't hear any of it, and the tuning feels like it works alongside the ANC to cover what little sound makes it though. Even if it's wildly inaccurate I never found it fatiguing. I never use them to listen at home tho, the buds are my EDC pocket earbuds because I already have them and I don't buy redundant products. And the Headphones are great when I'm on a train or plane. But For consumer audio, they are great products. Built well, with good features and for 90% of people the tuning won't be an issue. When I want great sound I have things at home that do that, when i want good enough sound and convenience, Sony is a go to, especially with that ANC. They tuned them to he easy to listen too for hours, which means they aren't accurate. But they never claimed to be reference headphones so it doesn't other me that they aren't. They deliver exactly what they promise
I used to have a set of Etymotic HF3’s and I used some Shure foam tips on them and talk about getting a great seal. I loved the way those things sounded. The bass wasn’t very powerful but it sound well controlled and accurate. The highs were just effortless.
I love that you are real. No flashy LED backlights, fancy computer desk, or fancy backgrounds. My desk looks just like that with wires and screwdrivers everywhere.
Thank you so much for this video. I was getting frustrated looking through review sites and CZcams videos for new wireless earbuds. Everyone had a different list, and i didn't trust any of them lol. All I want is good sound and okay battery life under $100. The AKGs are still $47.99 with free shipping as of 4/21/22, I'm really excited for them to get here :)
@@ZinthYneX I did, and they do sound really good. I actually prefer the galaxy buds 2 just a smidgen more, but it's really close, and may have to do with fit more than sound. I also really like that the app for these has an equalizer.
@@ZinthYneX yes, and to be honest they probably fit most people just fine. I just have really small ear holes lol. They came with extra ear thingys but i haven't messed with them much yet, so maybe they're great and i just haven't chosen the right cover.
I think you should've done some research on the AKG n400 before recommending them as a secret stash. There are a lot of basic operational issues like they dont fit in the case properly so they dont charge, if the case runs out of battery, the case wont detect they've been inserted and start to charge and the phone doesn't detect they were disconnected. I've had a similar product that I like the sound and fit but basic functional things didn't work and were really frustrating. This is why they have been discounted in the US to $47 as they did with the Skull Candy Indys. They even replaced the Indy's for free and sold them cheaper once I guess they knew it was just crap build quality and they were having to replace them constantly.
that's what'd you expect from this audiophile only review. he said it from the start. that's why he told us to compare his audio quality review to build quality review streamers, so that we can pinpoint the "right" product that we can bought/spend money on with ease. it's kinda lucky for him to get the "better" product before it collapse in quality that resulted in those bad user review and the price cut.

They're absolutely horrible sounding. People don't think that they sound that bad because they're used to shitty headphones
I think that many people will not hear how terrible they sound, just because they switched from the earbuds they got with the phone.

Got the Akg 400 after this and that was a great purchase. I already have the buds pro and I would say they are similar but different and overall I like the sound more on the AKG. It has better technical performance and a larger, more accurate sound stage. Now the buds pro still sound better for some modern music and EDM but for rock, acoustic, classical, and most all else, I prefer the AKG.
akg sound good but it feel heavy after a while, if they make a design similar to airpod pro it will be more confortable to use
Now which one feels better in the pocket?
For anyone looking at this comment at time of writing the current price of the AKG N400 is $130 US. Considering the price of the Sony option not bad
Would you still take them over the Buds pro 2? I have the buds pro and am interested in an upgrade.
From complete elation to minor regret. Thanks for the realization that there is never a truly perfect deal
Still priced high here so no no for me
@@winnieid2727 they're 50$?
Phew I’m one of the lucky few then.
I just discovered your channel, i love your personality. Thank you so much for truly focusing on sound.
Mine survived a 50min tumble wash program and they sound just as good lol
yeah i think they all astells on every range
I'm interested to see how wired IEMS measure against the best TWS buds on something like the UTWS5. They cost 130$ US, are hooks, and have a relatively bulky case, but the amount of value you can potentially get from them is enormous.
I wonder if one of those with a dusk is crin's wet dream
@@realaudioreviews Yeah, obviously, but you can't beat the convenience. It's always nice to see companies like FiiO trying to make the TWS adapters sound as close to wired as they can.
fyi KZ AZ09pro are much cheaper and really great. aptx via bluetooth
@@PKAWA They only support QDC, so it's not as flexible as TRN or FiiO with either 2 pin 0.78mm or MMCX.
Rarely have I been so hooked by a video so early. You're so awesome dude
I had the original Galaxy Buds as my first true wireless earphones, and the Galaxy Buds 2 as a freebie when I got my Z flip 3. I never really heard other channels talk about it so I'm glad to see them here. If you own a Samsung phone, the brand will really incentivise users to get their buds like big sales or as an add on.

got me some of the akg's on my birthday a couple months ago, and the only issues i can pin down after daily driving them for all this time would be them rarely not using the jingle of low battery and just dying at that point. other qualities godly and/or on par tho (yes, touch controls too), so a no-brain 10/10 for me right now.
I've had my pair of AKG's for 2 weeks now and I love the sound quality. For $50 they can't be beaten.

WF-XM3 is fantastic with the only thing holding it back being the fit/size (foam tips help a lot with keeping them secure and comfortable). One of my favorite tuned tws buds and good soundstage even compared to similarly priced wired iems.
I had (have) them, but they just didn't fit well and I ended up buying some moondrop kato's instead. If you have smallish ears, stay away.

To my ears the Sony's sound the best.
The XM4's are pretty Bass heavy, so going to an IEM with nowhere near the bass boost must be somewhat disapointing from a "fun sound" perspective.
@@rachidhf4579 I'm the opposite. Bass heavy sound takes the fun out of music for me. For me the fun is in the mids/upper mids where female vocals and guitars lie.
@@Hi_how_you_doing i mean both do things differently, you want bass you get the sonys you want neutral you get the n400 or buds pro tbh.
The AKG N400 are what the Galaxy Buds Pro SHOULD have been. The only real downside I've experienced with them are the janky swipe controls.

I’ve moved on to the earhooks I can use to drive normal IEMs. UTWS5 has issues with wanting to constantly connect to my phone when I don’t ask it to, but the TRN BR30 is better for that.
I use the TRN BT30 with the 7hz Timeless, and it's a great combo.

Love your sense of humor!
The Buds are well tuned, slightly less bass emphasized (on default profile), but have an artificialness to them that is especially noticeable when A/B'd
People have complained about QC issues, but that's yet to be seen. The N400's at least *feel* like a premium product. I'll be keeping the Buds handy in case the N400's crap out on me, but I much prefer the sound coming out of them

Jabra don't always sound the best but as far as quality and durability they are unbeatable.

The Technics AZ60 true wireless ear buds look really interesting. I hope they come back into stock soon and you get a chance to try them out.
And Davelet Gemini /Noble Fukuz pro
I've tried both AZ40 and AZ60 today in-store and my immediate impression was that they were quite bassy. They weren't bad though.
@@phoenixis2good How did they compare to the Sony WF-1000xm4? Also did you get to try them using LDAC?
I'm new to this space right? But seeing the etymotic gives me fear hahaha
I really want to try etymotic. :D
I used to have a set of Etymotic HF3’s and I used some Shure foam tips on them and talk about getting a great seal. I loved the way those things sounded. The bass wasn’t very powerful but it sound well controlled and accurate. The highs were just effortless.
Damn. This is the kind of talk that I always wanted to find. Thank you!
I love that you are real. No flashy LED backlights, fancy computer desk, or fancy backgrounds. My desk looks just like that with wires and screwdrivers everywhere.
I’ll always hate the term audiophile but if anyone can use it, it’s this guy
Thank you so much for this video. I was getting frustrated looking through review sites and CZcams videos for new wireless earbuds. Everyone had a different list, and i didn't trust any of them lol. All I want is good sound and okay battery life under $100. The AKGs are still $47.99 with free shipping as of 4/21/22, I'm really excited for them to get here :)
Have you received them yet? If so, how are they? I'm considering them myself and I'd love to hear others' opinions on them.
@@ZinthYneX I did, and they do sound really good. I actually prefer the galaxy buds 2 just a smidgen more, but it's really close, and may have to do with fit more than sound. I also really like that the app for these has an equalizer.
@@selinamularz9194 Would you say the fit on the AKG's is still good if just a tad worse than the Buds 2?
@@ZinthYneX yes, and to be honest they probably fit most people just fine. I just have really small ear holes lol. They came with extra ear thingys but i haven't messed with them much yet, so maybe they're great and i just haven't chosen the right cover.
Very enjoyable and entertaining :)
idk why, your ending earned you a sub. LOL. Honest vid. Great stuff.
This has been useful, as I had briefly looked at the Buds2 because... they come in purple. I like purple.
I own the Buds 2 (White to match my Phone) and I can confirm, Buds 2 is a really good TWS. I think you love them.
Very detailed and honest review
omg the club penguin music, havent even watched the whole video yet but it made me so happy! its the music from the fishing minigame where you have to catch the big yellow fish. my childhood
