- What a fun and creative, extended senior portrait shoot! Sophia's would be as complete a session as I offer. Anticipating a book or album, we know that we will get to use the "best of the best" images in the final collection.
First, in the studio we used the NEW Level Up Imaging studio lighting set-up with "Constant Light & Assorted Panels" of all kinds. Different sized translucent, white and silver in pop-up reflectors equaled fantastic results.
We did a little outdoor porch series where we had planned to use a LVLUP translucent, but the natural light was pretty soft, and already matched what we had produced in the studio.
Next, at the client home, we did an outdoor series with a couple of Godox V1 units. One in a Godox Softbox, and the other equipped with an accessory diffuser and barn doors. We were blessed with a cloudy day and a near constant gentle breeze
Finally, we did a couple of poses in the house and on the balcony with the Godox remote-controlled wireless lights.
Hope you enjoy this short video. We have the makings of a full video, but we rushed out this highlight reel for our client to share.

Super
Nice
Fabulous!
Inspiring!
Thanks.
Tim one question about your shooting film in sessions, do you go with box speed and expose to it ? would you please elaborate on how do you meter for film?
Never a meter for me since the late 1960's. I did Polaroids to test then and now I do digital. Just shoot the ISO of the film you intend to use. Always very close.
Spot on as always. Was the outside shots at a public place? If public, would you please provide the location?
No, it was their private home. I’m always looking for nice places too!
@@TimKellysMasterPhotoTechniques i appreciate the quick response. It’s a fabulous home. It has a hint of Spanish vibe. Thanks again and continue the great content.
Tim, you are inspiring as always!
Thank You!
What happened to the unrivaled light quality Larsen boxes? I see using scrim
They aren't made anymore and super difficult to repair. Same with most of the Photogenic equipment I've featured since the mid '80's. To remain a relevant teacher I really need to adapt to what's available and represents what is highly used in the current industry. I use speedlights for location work mostly and now LevelUp Imaging Panels. Before Larson, I used Dean Collins Lightform panels for most everything - so here we are again, and I really am enjoying it.
These are getting some upgrades before fully launching. I;ve made several new videos being held back til we can offer discounts codes etc.
This is the only way I've been shooting for about three months. Stay tuned.
@@TimKellysMasterPhotoTechniques Would you please put a description of the new light panels used in this photoshoot ?
@@photozen8398 Full video tomorrow!
@@TimKellysMasterPhotoTechniques I looked their pricing Tim and it is way over ( I do not mind it if no alternatives) , Photoflex makes great panels all sizes and they have scrims from reflective (w/S/G) to diffusion including nice black scrims for gobo or negative fill at a fraction of that astronomical price, they pack light ( actually I heard about them from you when you reviewed the panels and you had the PVC by Photoflex) I think it is my way to go to and I will keep an eye on your coming videos.
