  • A disgruntled customer blocked a McDonald's drive-through for two-hours after objecting to being asked to park in a bay while his double sausage and egg McMuffins was being cooked.
    Stuart Yates, 55, vowed to stay put for a week if necessary but moved on after two hours when the police were called.
    The stalemate began at around 9.30am on Sunday shortly after Stuart drove up to the restaurant and ordered the two Mcmuffins for his son and his friend.

      I understand why he'd be mad because he didn't want to wait 15 minutes, but he refused to even compromise with them giving cash over a refund onto the card? I would just be like, "Oh well that's fine no problem." And move on with my day.

      This is your personal experience! Ive been twice in about 2 years, both times for a milkshake. And my experience is that they have about 15 members if staff and about 3 of them are actually working, the milkshake machine didn't work either time because they can't be bothered to clean it, and I waited about 20mins for a big mac. And it tasted like rubber! Most McDonald's workers wouldn't know hard work if it was rubbing their arse! So speak for yourself!!

    Their main concern is getting you to pull up in order to reset the timer so it looks to the computer like you were served. Once your car moves off the sensor you are their last priority because your wait time is no longer being timed. I've been asked to "pull up" even with no one behind me in line. I ALWAYS refuse and it always sends the into a panic. The funniest is the video of the employee repeatedly setting a bucket on a string down on the sensor and lifting it from his drive up window to look like he's serving a bunch of customers in record time.

      It's got nothing to do with timers, it's just to stop a row of cars building up behind you and causing a traffic jam. Also the car behind you might just want something as simple as a single cup of coffee, which is much quicker to make than a large order of several food items, so we ask you to pull over to the side.

      He didn't have every right to do it because by blocking the drive thru exit he's actually stopping some people from going home, going to work etc. If you'd been behind him you would have been screaming and telling him to move out of the fucking way and then yelling at the McDonald's staff for not being able to force him to move.

  • @jayr7613
    @jayr7613 Před 2 lety

    So many of you body shaming him. Go take a look at yourselves if that's your first thought because he's actually not wrong if the article written is correct and true. Mcdonalds wants you to pull forward so that the timer that tracks vehicles served per hour continues to count with no delays. It's a dishonest practice and they are in the wrong for doing that. So he's right to not pull forward, no matter the history. Also a refund should be given back in the currency in which it was paid. So he's right to ask for that. The employee threw the "refund" in cash on top of his car, which is a huge dick move and tbat employee did NOT handle the situation in a professional manner. So for THAT he's right to sit until they've given him what he asked for. Now in ALL THAT TIME, they could have made the food and given it to him, which would have been the professional way to handle this. So again, it doesn't matter what his body type is like, hes correct here.
