Awesome work, I went for it yesterday on 3s however my speedrun body setup didn't go to plan (think like a kite!) so it's back to the stock body although high wind was a factor it needs some work to keep the front end down on mine!
Thanks brother 👊 haha yeah they literally fly away when you go fast enough 😂 I had to reduce the size of my front splitter a little as my last test it was causing too much downforce at the front. I had to increase the rear wing angle to help balance it out but now I think it's in the sweet spot for Aero 👌 just need to keep pushing it, good luck Rich I hope you do well on your next run 👍
@@TheRCMaster Thanks I took a couple of vicious front flips yesterday (Video up later today 5.30 PST) - aero body trial was a disaster but the car was tough as nails! I've just fitted stiffer rear springs as I think it was squatting too much under full throttle. How have you set up the front spring/oil wise? I think I may try a front wing just off to see how it goes with the new springs on. Stay safe.

Mostly for speed runs just stock matrix 1/10 touring car foams. 26 mm front 30mm width rear,around 38 shore hardness. Contact, Xceed and Ulti are other brands I like to use.
I guess I'm gonna need some real tall gearing, and probably a bit higher kv to achieve that. A few more days, and this freak arctic storm we've been going through the past will be history, and I'll be free to start testing. I'm interested in your gear ratio, I think I might be able to run more than 1 to 1.
No just need the right kv motor even snaller pinion are sometimes benefit
@@davidnadeau9460 part of that is true, but I've already proven what I stated. Taller gearing on 3s compared to mine is what I meant, also at the time I was running 3800 kv with something like 20 spur, 32 pinion.
Do you prefer the layout of the 124 and 144 for speedruns? Or do you thing the 104001 with the center diff will become king?
It's really hard to say now bro until I get to have a play with the 104001 there will be a few positives and negatives of that Central spur design but hey battery side trays take care of the space issue. I think the drivline strength is going to be next level 🤞 fingers crossed can't wait to see inside the diffs. Make sure to jump on the 104001 owners Facebook group for the latest updates 😁
@@TheRCMaster no facebook, but between you and a select other few I stay in the speedrunning loop. Kinda excited mostly for the 104001 because of the endless body choices that will be available now. So many ways to show your speed and style, people will finally have different looking builds. Gonna be a good season 🏎️💨

I actually ran my brushless sg1604 for the first time that day too and crashed it before the camera was even on 😂 I'm thinking it's going to be a 75mph challenge tops 🤓🤔 they need alot of work to go fast

Hi, I like to know how did you get the cover to rise? My ESC is a little too tall and when I put the cover on is lopsided on one side. Looks like the two plastic pin (where you mount the cover) is not stock. Would you please tell me where to get them? Many thanks in advance.

Wow great build. I am currently working on my own 124019 build. I have it sorted out for the most part, but having a problem with the rear axle binding. It is smooth as silk until I put on the rear wheels and tighten the wheel nuts. If I back it off at all the wheels fly off. I'm using nylon lock nuts and loctite. Do you have any suggestions?
I managed to sort this out as well. I put front drive axles on front and rear. Speed run coming as soon as my GPS arrives. Will post on CZcams
Lately I have been setting my wheels then adding a drop of super thin super glue to the tip of the threads. It gets in and holds the nut quite well and cracks away clean unlike locktight that always leaves crap on the threads

It's a 3620 size with a 3.175 mm pinion and I'm keeping the kV rating to myself until I have finished testing to it's full potential 🤞

My friend of me got 170kmh by using 2S battery & sensored motor sir...
All you need is more amp and high kv motor then an esc that handle those amps. Running 3s simply offload the amps requirements by one third

Yes mate I use a sky RC gsm020 it's the box mounted between the servo and the motor. It runs off an app via Bluetooth
