Taylor was the guy with gray hair who won by singing ragtime music every single time. Fucking one trick pony. He never sang anything else while Chris was taking risks and singing songs without instrumentals while Taylor was winning by singing shit nobody would ever jam out to.

As someone who’s sick, been ill since I was a preteen, and am now fighting through really rough treatments to fight for a better quality of life, this gets me. I’m engaged and I’d like to be a mom, if only I can get a little healthier, find a way to break through this. I’m a “hard case,” with complications and comorbidities, the main line treatments haven’t worked, and I probably won’t ever be healthy. But I can’t just give up. I have to keep trying new therapies, otherwise my illness wins, and the little girl I literally dream about will never have a chance to be.
Fighting for my fiancé, my family, and the family I hope to have helps me have strength when I want to tap out, when pain turns into suffering. But it can only get me so far. I have to also do this for me, because I deserve that better life too.
My Mom, who passed three months ago, would have really loved this song. It’ll definitely be playing at my next treatment.
