Orochimaru wanting to find the sword of totsuka implies that it was used prior to Itachi, which means that it is either something that some Uchiha had before, or that its actually independent of susano - either options are interesting and worthy of some speculation in its own right.
I like to think that it was a sword originally belonging to Indra's Susanoo and only special MS users can unlock it
@@oghaze9318 I don't think its about unlocking it, you have to find it otherwise orochimaru won't be surprised like he was, since if only selected uchiha with MS can get it, what's the point of looking for it?, they are like six path sage tools but made of chakra or are ethereal, itachi must have been quite busy looking for OP tools like that even after having MS.
I think I figured out why Orochimaru is different after reincarnating. He puts a piece of his soul into the curse mark, and it is a snapshot of him at the time when he placed of the curse mark. When he gave Anko her seal, he was experimenting to defend the Leaf and was a good guy with bad methods, but still loved the Leaf. The piece of his soul that was embedded in Anko was not the same as the one that was in Sasuke and didn't have the bad experiences with the Leaf which is why he's still a good guy.
That is a good theory
This ain’t Harry Potter my guy. Orochimaru as soon as he is revived from anko’s curse mark acknowledges sasuke, knowing who he is, continuing to want sasuke’s body then says he’s been conscious inside the curse mark the entire time.
The conscious in the mark doesn’t matter that much. But him acknowledging sasuke’s growth and admitting to still wanting to take over sasuke’s body means he was aware of his original self’s goal to nurture sasuke and take over his body. That orochimaru also knew the Reanimation jutsu and even how to improve it since his fight with sarutobi which he didn’t learn until well after he put the curse mark on anko.
In short the revived orochimaru has all of the original orochimaru’s experiences up to thr original’s death and beyond through being conscious within all the curse marks he had on people to that point.

I like the idea that while orochimaru replacement is not the same guy, but can still feel the consciousness of his original in the drunken dreams realm, and so is constantly motivated to be a good boy.😊
I wonder if when that happened, it was like with kurama where either the yin or yang part of his soul had been removed? because orochimaru does seem like a diffrent person, still a snake but alot more mellowed out.
Naw it's the same dude he still threaten to destroy the village and in Boruto he's gotten the body he wanted which is why he usually does evil things to begin with.
So Orochimaru was not necessarily released from Itachi's seal. Orochimaru said he places a part of his own essence in every Curse Mark, each one essentially contains part of his consciousness, it's a lot like a Karma seal, the Orochimaru revived from Anko is technically a clone of the one that was killed/absorbed by Sasuke. It's effectively the same person with the same personality and memories, but it's not LITERALLY him, if that makes sense, just a 1:1 clone of him.

It's interesting that using Edo Tensei brings people back as they were in life, considering it pulls their souls out of the purelands. It'd be interesting if they came back more powerful due to the enlightenment that they were able to achieve in the purelands. Or if they even had more enlightened versions of their personalities or something. And not just the purelands. Imagine if Minato, because of his battling and uniting with Kurama had learned a ton of new techniques and developed his own new ninjutsu he didn't have time for in life, like using Kurama's extra chakra to create shadow clones and develop his own chakra nature imbued rasengan, like a lightning or water styled rasengan. Maybe it would become something different from a rasenshuriken, maybe it would take advantage of Minato's preference for moves like Flying Raijin and become a warp rasengan that can blow targets it hits into the plane between dimensions that Minato travels through using flying raijin, or it just blinks the target in and out of existence over and over warping them backwards as it knocks them back picking up speed until it erupts in an explosion. Just some neat ideas I've been thinking of
Given that Zabuza says the last thing he remembers is dying on the bridge, those brought back by Edo Tensei may not remember anything that happens in the Pure Land.

Can you explain the education system in Naruto, before the shinobi academy? Do they not learn about the history of the Village? How did Naruto not know his heritage? He was part of the Uzumaki Clan, and if Naruto had any done any digging, he could have learned the last member of the clan was was Kushina. He would have learned that she was the wife of the 4th, and noticed a family resemblance of sorts to Minato and Kushina. And if not, he would learned that his Ancestors were the building blocks of the Village.
It seems like the shinobi academy was only focused on training ninjas. The rest of the info like history, culture, philosophy was likely not taught in the sense of open discussion but more of being told what to think.

The education system of Konoha is kinda only related to shinobi work. To put it into perspective, very few people in Konoha knew who Madara was let alone how powerful he and the 1st Hokage truly were. The extent of the information most normal people in Konoha would find by researching Konoha's history is that the Valley of the end was created during a fight between the 1st Hokage and some guy named Madara.
The village has been around for 80 years. The academy likely for 50-70. I’m not sure what you mean.

An interesting question to think about now is given that the boruto series is delving into the concept of otsutsuki who ascended to actual gods who moved to higher planes, could the reaper death god actually be an otsutsuki who also evolved past the need for a physical form? I mean the flowing white robes, white hair, prominent horns on its head, there is a resemblance

We see a small white snake escape Itachi so the way I see it is that Orochimaru escaped Totsuka blade and was "killed" by Amaterasu flame after which he used Anko's seal to anchor himself to her like a Horcrux.

I just realized that Kabuto used edo tensei after the fight with pain vs Konoha meaning Sakumo could in fact be summoned by edo tensei since he went to the pure lands after kakashi came to him
Reaper death seal facts... the enemy cannot see it until touched, the caster does not have to be extremely close to their opponent to snatch the soul because the shinigami's arms travels long distance... which mean Hiruzen didn't have to grab orochimaru to steal his soul... and orochimaru wouldn't see it coming until its too late, Sarutobi could've survived konoha crush... and as far as thr afterlife portion of it....when edo tensei... the first didn't know who the 4th was, so they definitely do not interact

I want to see your take on a what if scenario: That being if Hashirama convinced Madara to never leave the Leaf. How would that effect the Ninja world, would anyone even dare to fight the Leaf as keep in mind, Madara's name was so terrifying that the 5 Great Nations set aside all differences to fight him and still almost lost, so would a Leaf with both him and Hashirama even need to worry about defensive wars when it would a idiot to even try?
What about Black Zetsu, if he couldn't turn Madara, would he conspire to kill the both of them by helping other village? Would we still get a Rinnegan as my crack theory would have it that Madara would marry and have a child and that child would marry Hashirama's kid...giving us a Tsunade with Uchiha, Senju AND Uzumaki blood, so she'll have the potential for the Sharingan if downright Rinnegan later in life and would have the massive chakra reserves needed to make full use of it.
I think you made a mistake in the video. Susanoo, Tsukuyomi, and Amaterasu were born when Izanagi washed their face after returning from Yomi ("the shadowy land of the dead")
I mean I get that Kabuto maybe couldn't get every dead shinobi's dna, but for those he couldn't resurrect I do imagine that they are also in purgatory. Sakumo... he didn't move on after a brief talk to Kakashi that was cut short, otherwise he would have been brought back. Danzo, Jiraya, Kushina, Kagami, Fugaku, Shisui (and the rest of the Uchiha clan outside Itachi and Madara), anyone else with significant enough power for Kabuto to consider bringing back but couldn't.
the curse mark is like a haurcrux in harry potter thats why orochimaru came out of saskue during that fight to begin with. i think orochimaru could be pulled from anyone who used his curse mark as a revival technique

I've always wondered just how the indra ashura reincarnation thing works. Usually reincarnation is depicted as the same soul/being in a new body but Madara, Hashirama, Naruto, and Sasuke, all seem to be separate independent souls despite being reincarnations of Indra and Ashura and can seemingly exist in the same place at the same time. How can they be separate souls and still be reincarnations of Indra and ashura aside from sharing their chakra? Also how does it even happen? Are indra and ashura in the afterlife picking who they want to give their chakra to next or is it entirely involuntary? Did Naruto and sasuke settling their feud put an end to them reincarnating or will more come into existence in the future?
For what it sounds like to me. Is that the brothers will and conflict inhabit the chakra of their chosen descendants. With the only known ones being Hashirama and Madara and Naruto and Sasuke. With Ashura being a progenitor of the Senju Clan and Uzumaki clan being sort of an offshoot in relation, and Indra being the Uchiha progenitor.
I'm not privy to any Japanese mythological refences their dynamic is, but as far as in universe merit goes, if their Father managed to be as powerful and can persist as an entity as he is, maybe they can continue to exist by their sheer will and Chakra using descendants of their respective clans as vessels or avatars to continue their conflict.
Now that Sasuke and Naruto reconciled it also means the Indra Asura influnce has too with them being the cycle breakers. Thus the Cycle of hatred is broken though what that means for their descendants? Who knows, but Sasuke having a daughter who first was known as some one who awakened the Sharingan out of Happiness and not of hatred could be a sign that the Uchiha's cycle of hatred has been broken as it's been speculated.

Theory 1: obito was not able to use kamui as 10 tails jinjuriki as ha didn't have the sheer amount chakra to tp himself and 10 tails to the kamui dimension where as madara could become ha had enough chakra
Theory 2:obito didn't get a rinnasharingan when he got the 10 tails as he hasn't previously awakened a rinnagan madra got the rinnasharingan as he had AWAKENED a rinnagan

4:14 - Amaterasu & Tsukuyomi were born out of Izanagi's Left & Right eye respectively after he bathed from leaving the underworld in a failed attempt to rescue his wife, while Susanoo came out of his nose. When Izanami was burned to death by Kagetsuchi's fire, his twin sister, Mizuhame, extinguished the fire. Kagetsuchi was then cut into 8 pieces that became 8 *volcanos* & his blood became *several* water deities.
6:05 - Given that Orochimaru never actually died, he wouldn't need to be revived. He was *sealed* in the Land of Drunken dreams, not killed. He's also like Voldemort, so long as 1 piece of his soul is in the living world, via curse marks, he is not technically dead.
7:50 - The Realm of drunken dreams is the 2nd best place you can end up. You're tortured endlessly inside the reaper & in Purgatory, via the reaper or past regrets.

No the Pure lands existed before Hogoromo was even born as there was already beings who could use natural chakra
A pure land is the celestial realm of a specific buddha. When you die, your soul travels to the pure land of the buddha whose teachings you followed. Hagoromo was the founder of Ninshu, the philosophy/religion which eventually evolved into the arts of ninjutsu. So anyone who practices ninshu or ninjutsu (which includes basically every character in this franchise) is destined to be reborn in the pure land of Hagoromo after they die.
There were presumably other buddhas in the Naruto world before Hagoromo, they just didn't practice and spread the teachings of ninshu/ninjutsu. So people who died before Hagoromo went to the pure lands of those older buddhas.

@@jvr6809 I believe what he means, is that as far as Rin knew before she died, Obito was already dead. Rin and Kakashi saw Obito get crushed by a boulder and ended up leaving him for dead. Why would she be in purgatory waiting for him if he died before she did (again this was the case as far as she knew before her death)?

Because it's implied that Rin saw everything Obito did from purgatory and still forgave him.I'm guessing seeing what was happening to Obito is what made her hold back from entering the pure lands in the first place.

Why didn’t Itachi transplant Shisui’s mangekyo sharingan into Naruto’s eye? I get the first time Naruto would not have trusted him enough to exchange eyes, but when Itachi comes back from edo Tensei Naruto seems to trust him more. ( as well since this was given after he got kyubi chakra cloak Naruto would’ve still made friends with Kurama without the eye). It is said that it takes 10 years to use again unless you have Hashirama cells or a massive chakra pool, well Naruto has a huge chakra pool and the nine tails. And in Boruto he even got Hashirama cells. But instead I’m episode 298 Itachi burned the eye up after explicitly telling Naruto that he Carrie’s the same beliefs as Shisui and he knew he could trust him. This just seems like a major hiccup and waste of possible the coolest Genjutsu!
