    Delicious recipe! I tweaked mine because 500 grams of butter is more than 4 sticks(American here) The butter overwhelmed. I used 2 sticks of butter with 1/2 cup of vegetable shortening and it was perfectly balanced. I also couldn't figure the 500grams of raspberries......I used 2 cups of frozen raspberries and it turned out beautifully. Thank you so much for sharing this. It made a luscious filling for my cake.

    This looks amazing, you just got yourself a new subscriber! I just wanted to ask you a few questions please. Is this amount enough to fill, crumb coat, and frost a three-layer 8-inch (20 cm) cake, or should I make 2 batches? Also, I want to add raspberry liqueur to the frosting, should I do it when the raspberries are cooking or can I add it to the frosting? I’m afraid to add it to the frosting and disrupt the consistency, that’s why I’m asking. Also, does this frosting set as firmly as you condensed milk white chocolate buttercream or is softer? One last thing, could I make the cake 2-3 days ahead and leave it in the freezer or should I just bake the cakes and prepare the frosting ahead and then assemble it on the day I plan to serve it? I apologize for so many questions, but I got so excited when I saw this recipe because I can’t stand the taste of plain buttercream frosting, and this is perfect! I CANNOT WAIT to make this! I look forward to your reply!

    • @CupcakeSavvysKitchen
      @CupcakeSavvysKitchen  Před 4 lety

      Two batches is better. Add the liqueur when you take the raspberries off the heat. You can do it all ahead. Bake decorate and refrigerate 2-3 days ahead and keep in the refrigerator. As long as it’s not a very hot/humid climate stability is not a problem. Good luck!

    I want to use this to fill and cover three tier castle cake for my daughter can it hold? I don't like traditional buttercream so this is perfect

      Yes it can hold but it will soften if left out in hot/humid weather for too long. If you are going to leave it out on display, it's best to do it in an air conditioned room.

      It's good for frosting, layering and covering. It will soften in hot/humid weather like any buttercream ;-)

    Are these type of buttercreams sensitive to heat? Do they melt in humidity?

      They will soften. You can switch out some of the buttercream with shortening to help stabilize them if you like.

      Yes and yes. they can be frozen for a couple of weeks. In this video I show how to swap out half the butter for shortening to make it more stable for piping flowers czcams.com/video/lAL_30tX3QQ/video.html

    Hi. Is it ok to skip boiling the berries and just put it in a food processor instead? I don't like the idea of putting sugar anymore. The sweetness of the condensed milk is enough for me. Thanks in advance. 😊
