- Have you every wondered who Karl Marx is? What did Karl Marx do for politics? In this short video, we will take an informative look at who Karl Marx was and his major works and theories about Capitalism and Communism.
Karl Marx was born on May 5th, 1818, in Trier, Prussia (now Germany), was a philosopher, economist, political theorist, and revolutionary socialist. He is best known for his groundbreaking contributions to political and economic thought, particularly in the development of the concept of communism.
Marx's early life was marked by academic pursuits, and he studied law, history, and philosophy at various universities. In the mid-19th century, he became involved in journalism and radical politics. Alongside Friedrich Engels, Marx authored the "Communist Manifesto" in 1848, outlining their views on class struggle, historical materialism, and the eventual overthrow of the capitalist system.
One of Marx's major works is "Das Kapital," a comprehensive critique of political economy. In this three-volume magnum opus, Marx delved into the dynamics of capitalism, exploring concepts such as surplus value, alienation, and the inevitable contradictions leading to the system's collapse. He argued that capitalism inherently perpetuates inequality and exploitation.
Marx envisioned a classless and stateless society where the means of production would be collectively owned and controlled by the proletariat, or working-class people. His ideas laid the foundation for modern communism, inspiring political movements and revolutions worldwide.
Despite the controversial nature of his theories and their implementation in various forms across different societies, Karl Marx's contributions have profoundly influenced political philosophy, economics, and social theory. His ideas continue to be subjects of study, debate, and interpretation, shaping discussions on class struggle, capitalism, and the role of the state in society.

I'm 30 seconds into this and had to stop to comment, not on the content (because I haven't watched it yet) but the method... The work put into this video is incredible and I can imagine totally time consuming. Thank you for your effort. Its well appreciated.
Thank you! Yes it’s a great deal of work to make each video. I’ve got a good process down but it still takes a significant amount of time. Thanks for the call out though. Appreciate it. ❤️
Your videos are so innovative in this digitalized era... And it would also be a lot of work to make even small videos.. keep up the good work 👍
Thanks a ton! It does take a lot of work, but I do enjoy doing them.
I wish these videos were longer. Great to watch regardless
Good feedback. It's hard to find a balance between what people are willing to watch.
@@IllustratetoEducate You are doing great good sir...
Can you make a video comparing presidential system to parliamentary system
Man I've learned some stuff today, your work is very much appreciated yet underrated 😔
I appreciate that!
@@IllustratetoEducate Thanks for helping me with my Homework btw 😂 😂
Can you make a video about what is soviet democracy
Can you make a video comparing federation to unitary state
Can you make a video comparing one party state to socialist state and communist state
Good quick summary of the background of communism!
Excellent video. There are very few people whose writings have had a bigger effective on humanity than K Marx. A big ripple effect through history.
saved my life for tomorrows test
I literally have to submit a small paragraph about him, and his video spared me the misery 😂
Karl had wonderful ideas in theory
Which don’t work in practice tho
Must a political system be strictly aligned with an economic system?
Asking for a friend...
Seems to be that way...
@@IllustratetoEducate what do you think? Can Capitalism work well with communism as a government system and socialism in a democracy???
@@vondoromal7016 the entire point of socialism and communism is to destroy the market, which capitalism needs to survive. Also, they destroy private ownership of the means of production (businesses and factories and farms), which capitalism also needs to exist.
So no, not unless you want to do some goofy shit like china does with their free trade zones, commodified housing, and legal black markets. They are just capitalist with socialist characteristics.
ты забыл упомянуть его товарища по крайней плоти 😉
"What is Democratic Confederalism?" would be an interesting video.
He was going to talk about Nikki Haley, but I think he forgot
Yes, you're right. I did forget. 😅 I'm not sure she's going to have much of a chance against Trump as the Republican nominee.
I think Marx was the man who wanted to stop the power-game. But only rules and players of the game changed and the game continued .😔
Free Markets don't have monopolies.
The only way monopolies form is through government intervention. In which case it's no longer a "free market".
Socialism is cancer
Marx was likely at least a bit insane, and his misunderstanding of Capitalism is obvious in his writing. I truly pity people that choose to ignore the real world implementations of his theories in history and currently, all of which have been abject failures, and focus purely on the theory itself as if that were the reality.
Yes insane that people who followed him made trade unions and living wages😂😂
@@aliesmat07 I see, history is not something you know well at all.
@@ExpatriatePaul you edited the comment، before it said something else, nice try
@@aliesmat07 False, had I edited my comment it would be denoted as such, it is not.
@@ExpatriatePaul hmm...
I don’t know. Most people hate communism. So I don’t know if Karl meant for Communism to go the way it does in some countries. Lots of times, communism isn’t fair to the country’s citizens.
Communism is Dictatorism...
Communism relies on selflessness and a rejection of hierarchy. Two things Humans aren't designed to do.
The damage this bastard did with his destructive ideas for the future generations cannot be understated.
