The one really great thing about the Threat Seeker, is it makes the Bandit Rifle actually look like a useful addition to the sandbox. 😅

Kinda wish we had the shotgun that loaded one slug at a time like in old halo. It’s literally perfect in infection because there is nothing as stressful as loading one shell between kills during a steady stream of infected.

@@codkid2007 still fired shells, just ones loaded with pellets. Also as an unrelated side note if you cut a roughly inch and a half long slit halfway up the top of a birdshot shell it turns into a slug for all intents and purposes.

This is why I love Kelski, he never rants about negatives and ignores positives. He finds an issue, explains why it’s an issue, and then offers a fix. I have spent the past few years just getting bombarded by channels that do nothing but crap on 343 and Halo Infinite and be clickbaity no matter how often I hit ignore on the "creator", but this is the first time that I have seen this dudes stuff and its so refreshing seeing someone talk about the game evenly. Yeah Halo:I has issues, but it can still be fun. Thanks @kel_ski for being a good reviewer.

Halo 5 has FAR more content MP wise than Infinite as does MCC, this is a provable fact.
I like the points on how the 343 maps are all arena based, that really is the factor that gets me burnt out when I wanna play and level up my battlepass.

Phenomenal video. I agree so much with your point on maps. The BEST Halo maps (Valhalla, Guardian, Lockout, Last Resort, High Ground to name a few) were just all great ENVIRONMENTS. The environmental aspect of making atmospheric maps makes the game ten times more fun than generic arena after arena

Kelski with another banger Halo vid! I know it's not your focus but I'd love to see you do more with Halo, but regardless once PvE comes out (leaked for S5) I'll be very happy with Halo Infinite. Gotta say the Squad battle playlist has been great fun to play, might be the best mode in the game, and overall I've been enjoying Infinite a lot more since S4. The new leadership at 343 seem to be doing a good job so far!

There was actually a cut cutscene that was almost ready that was leaked a while back. It had the your soartan, Dinh, and ecklund fighting the irratus infection. Wish we had gotten that, maybe season 5? Just wish that they would let us see it because it’s finished.

Some well-known leakers like Surasia are saying PvE Extraction is part of Season 5. Wonder if this cutscene ties into that mode.
Don't know if you noticed but right when they were talking about the cross-core coatings they mentioned that they were going to be in a single item along with emblems and shoulders, in season 5, that is because of how the game was designed to not support it but hey, at least they are changing it meaning we will get even more items on a single pass
Is Halo back? For me it's almost there. I hope season 5 brings back the rest of the content, that should have been there for launch. Maybe a Battle Royal at the end of the year or beginning of next to bring in more people and the we're eating good, boys!

I miss my friends… we’d play lots of Halo, but now that halo died, they vanished and now I’m left with MCC to enjoy by myself, and a Halo game that feels more like CoD. all I have left is the nostalgia
this game has actually been pretty fun lately. not just for quick play and ranked but also custom games. i’ve been able to get into PUG groups and do 6v6 ctf, 5v5 oddball, etc and everyone is on with mics and having a great time, some split off and go over to play some ranked, coming back into the group later, new ppl getting added etc. if 343 can just help with the social aspect this game could be a mainstay. will still need a relaunch of some sort though.

343's art team is killing it these maps are beautiful. Big agree about Scar to many of the Btb maps just feel crowded, need Blood gultch feeling maps with a lot of open space

Apparently Forest is a reference to "the babysitter." From halo legends. That's kind of cool. Some 343 rank and file cared enough to remember that and pay homage to it.

This video was great man, new follower acquired. I’ve been playing halo Infinite since the first beta, and I gotta say that I can agree on almost every point you have made. This game to me has the best gameplay of any halo game, and I have been playing Halo since 2010. It really sucks that this game didn’t launch as a full package, but things are defiantly ramping up and I couldn’t be more excited for the future of this game and Halo as a whole. I really feel that with the management changes, and recent hiring, that Halo as a whole has a very bright future, time will tell but I’m holding out hope that the best franchise and the best fps(in my opinion) has a bright and promising future ahead.

Nice video. I agree with pretty much everything said here. The gameplay for this game has been pretty good throughout the game's lifecycle so far, it's just the bugs and crappy maps that really ruin a lot of the fun. It seems like 343 is finally realizing this and putting more remakes/community maps into the game. A game has to be fun on a fundamental level for people to want to play it competitively.

The gameplay is fire, maps are fun, gunplay is absolutely crisp, sound effects aren't halo 5 good but they get the job done, new management has added all the old stuff besides Firefight which is already confirmed by leaks to be coming in season 5. There have been so many free events in infinite, that you can literally have more helmets than you do in the entirety of halo reach. And either way, Halo is not a barbie dress up game lol. This one is also f2p so they need SOME way to make money, though I'll admit would've preferred something else. New 8v8 playlist is booming and people are loving it.
So please, tell me. What is so "It's still as mid as ever" about this?

The game still shits itself regularly, the visuals are nice but there's no substance to Infinite it doesn't do anything new or interesting, it just banks on nostalgia, that's NOT how to make a game you intend to have a lifespan of 10 years, nostalgia can only last for so long.
Not to mention the sandbox is fucking horrendous.

Halo Infinite has the best gunplay/sandbox in the series, its just missing good maps and some equipment/vehicles/weapons

Its wild because Halo's most popular and famous maps have usually been very open maps (forge world, blood gulch, etc.) Its just like put people in a large open pit and people will have fun

The point of the threat detector was for ranked play. It's a more limited version of the sensor that can bounce around corners and only detects enemies within line-of-sight of where it detonates. It's only point is for ranked balancing.
To this day 343 has absolutely no idea what to do with vehicles. In Halo 4 they were mostly invalidated by sprint and only worked on Ragnorok, their remake of Halo 3's Valhalla. In Halo 5 they could only be used to any significant degree in Warzone, a microtransaction fuelled hellscape. And they were pointless anyway because the points in that game mode were based on taking out AI bosses (at least at launch). The day I gave up on Warzone, was when I snuck a tank around the entire map, spent like 2 minutes going Stealth 100, lined myself up behind the enemy team and got like 20 kills. In a normal Halo mode, that genius play would have single handedly won my team the game. In Warzone, it contributed to maybe 2% of all the points accrued by my team, because the points were derived from AI targets that remained in one place so you might as well just use a rocket launcher on them.
In Halo Infinite, every vehicle aside from the Ghost is made of paper and will take 3 seconds of fire from an assault rifle before exploding, and like you said, every single BTB map forces vehicles down narrow channels and give non-vehicle players elevated positions above them. The vehicles can't move anywhere near as much and are EXTREMELY easy targets compared to previous games. So they're utterly useless. Even the splatter physics barely work. And on top of that, if you're attacking a vehicle, it warns the player it's going to explode with an audio timer, so the player just jumps out and you have to fight them twice. 343 has no idea how to do vehicles.

i know weeks old video but in the leaks they are bringing back a grav lift type equipment, a repair field which is just a glorified regeneration field from halo 3 and a black hole equipment all in the files

i been saying this since the launch of S4, How does Xbox biggest iP not have a budget for cutscenes? This is a huge red flag and why i didn't want Microsoft to buy Activision because they really need a re structure at Xbox, i mostly buy an Xbox for Halo and its currently on Life support..

Very well put together video, I want to come back to halo infinite, I stopped playing with season 2 because the devs just didnt seem to care about the game anymore. and Im suprised microsoft didnt make this game a priority. Its good to see theyre coming out with more content for season 4, I just cant see myself getting back into it. It was hard to give the game up but I really feel like It will be a huge letdown if I try going back to it.

In season 5 343i said that armour coatings will be under ONE UI slot. So the era of playing for like 15 coatings will be in the past

Cloaks and hazmat suits make perfect sense. Especially in the Halo universe. 343 just don't know what they are doing.
A cloak could be made out a a flexible, heat reflective material. It could be a cabon nanofilament/ceramic crystal titanium fiber or something that would cost tens of millions of dollars to create in reality. Samurai used parachutes to catch arrows aimed at their backs. Cloaks have always been useful.
The standard spartan suit is rated for vacuum, not deep water. In dense atmosphere the seals would corode away with sufficient enough chemical exposure. Specialised, much more expensive equipment for working in a reactor or something makes perfect sense.
