- In 1555 AD, Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) returns to his former home in Glenfinnan, Scotland, to save his mother from his former friend and village priest Jacob Kell (Bruce Payne). Kell executes Connor's mother for witchcraft. Connor kills both Kell and his adopted father, Father Rainey, and sets Glenfinnan ablaze. Jacob Kell is reborn as an Immortal, and vows vengeance against Connor for Rainey's death. He spends the next four centuries killing people Connor cares about. Kell amasses great power by ignoring the rules of The Game; he recruits several lesser Immortals as disciples, who overpower other Immortals so Kell can take their heads. By the turn of the century, Kell has 661 Immortal kills (compared to 262 for Connor MacLeod, and 174 for Duncan MacLeod).

the rare occasion when a trailer from another universe leaks into another. I believe this is from earth 444 or maybe 424. Both of those universe had a very similar movie but both were terrible. It would be hard to find a universe where this movie isn't terrible. The only remotely good version takes place in Earth beta max 17. In that universe people age 1 year, every 100 years so chris lambert still looked as good as he did in the original highlander movie.

The best highlander movie ever! Great idea to bring the 2 highlanders together and the way one says goodbye, just amazing! Taking out the odd extraterrestrial side from the past, and as a Duncan fan the best way to end the series! :') 8)
The trailer is absolutely a deceitful tactic of the worst kind, and by the fact that there are three or four different edits of this film, the mess didn't end with the marketing. This franchise practically begged for fan edits to come into existence because there are multiple cuts of every film, and Endgame is probably the largest editing disaster of them all. Though, The Quickening has some severe continuity problems in its editing alone, but at least that got adjusted in the Renegade & Special Edition cuts.
This series is fucked like no other! People nowadays bitch about the alien, terminator, jurassic world etc BUT Highlander is the original fucked up series that "didn't need to be a series".

Highlander II has the US cut, the British Cut, an different International Cut, the Renegade Version, and the Special Edition. The third film has the PG-13 US cut, the R-rated Director's Cut, and an International Cut. The fourth film has supposedly two workprints, the US Theatrical, and the Producer's Cut. The Source has a Russian DVD cut and the US Cut.
All I can say is that if half of the stuff in this trailer was in the actual movie, the movie might have been decent.

Like Rodney said. This is one of the most deliberately deceptive trailers of all time, none of the scenes were ever planned to be included and were made with full knowledge of the actual plot.
Rodney Mercado dont think it just do for trailer.. the part where Jacob slice into half should be between Jacob kill off all immortal and Connor fight Dungan.. this is why Connor said nobody can defeat Jacob and looks like after fight
Umm, no. First off, no signs in the movie point to Kell being "supernatural" as said in the trailer. Second, Connor couldn't handle one Kell alone, facing two, he would have gotten killed immediately - plus the rule of 1 on 1. Lastly, executives involved with the film have stated that some scenes like the going through the portal and Kell splitting into two and so on were shot ONLY for the trailer. Do the research yourself if you don't believe me, I've done my research, that is why I said what I said and it is fact, not opinion.

He aged pretty rough. He was only 28 in the first movie, but looked atleast 35 easy.
Connor in the original movie was only 18 when killed by The Kurgan, he met Ramirez and received his first quickening 5 years later, meaning he stopped ageing at 23 years old.
And what about Bruce Payne balding? He had long hair in the flashback (wig) but in present time he started balding. Since normally balding comes with aging it also makes no sense, also! Lets pretend that he went to the barber and asked for that specific haircut....
Fan theory believed Conner went through rough mental life after obtaining the Quickening from The Kurgan. They've dubbed it as The Kurgan's curse.
The course of Highlander 3 had affected his mind, driving him crazy after the death of Brenda from an accident. He thought he had a son, and all the event in H3 was his imagination. Only real one was the Detective that his eyes on Conner from Highlander 1.
After the death of Rachel, he secluded himself in a monastery where his mental imagery continues with Highlander 2, an event that never happened. Perhaps facing his innerself much like Duncan faced his dark self after the Dark Quickening?
He had been looking rough since The Kurgan. Duncan was the next to fall victim of the Kurgan's curse after killing off Conner. The effect happened when he saw Faith at the end, however the reality was that she was killed by Jacob and thus she was not there.
The whole Source incident was all in his mind, however he did manage to defeat the source itself with the help of Methos through patience and guidance. Joe Dawson never died at all.

I think the producers thought this Phantasm at one point then realized their movie wasn’t as good.
Those soulless jackasses actually filmed crap for this trailer that they had absolutely no intention whatsoever in putting in the movie deliberately!
WHO DOES THAT?! And hell, THIS movie actually looks pretty good and interesting, shame it has no relation whatsoever to what came out in theatres OR DVD.
Kind of strange. Seems like they wanted to remake Highlander III. That movie had a sorcerer or illusionist, but he, oddly, respected the rules of the Game for the most part.

probably the most misleading film trailer out there. the real movie was pretty bad, try watching the early seasons of the tv show it is based on instead
Endgame is a 'passable' sequel and film, on its own. No way does it hold any merits, compared to the original film or even Search for Vengeance, but it's one of those films that you'd watch again.
This is the best movie of the century.

Highlander Endgame is just a total turkey flop both on film and in box office sale. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Highlander%3A_Endgame) I've seen all of the Highlander films and this particular fourth installment film is second place of the worst of the Highlander films which the fifth installment (minus the animated film, Highlander: The Search for Vengeance (2007), is a good anime film though), Highlander: The Source (2007) being the #1 worst and boring of them all. If anybody have seen the Highlander films and television series and the casts of this film, some which are top performing action star's of their own right (Donnie Yen, Bruce Pain, Christopher Lambert) should understand why this film sucks when the starring role or star of this film is Adrian Paul played as Duncan MacLeod ends up (SPOIL ALERT!!!) the winner at the end (not saying he ain't as good as the others but he isn't as popular or well prized as a action movie star like the others.). Also, this fourth installment is a major let down to fans of the Highlander franchise when the protagonist who started it all, Connor MacLeod played by actor Christopher Lambert, (SPOILER ALERT!!!) is killed off in this film by television series of, Highlander (October 3, 1992 -
May 16, 1998), Duncan MacLeod played by the actor Adrian Paul. I like both actors \ characters of both of the movie films (1st, 2nd & 3rd Highlander films) and television series but I was upset that the heroine (Connor MacLeod played by the actor Christopher Lambert) who started it all is killed off in this fourth installment film which basically ended my fan interest to the franchise. 8{

End game could’ve been a lot better but it’s a classic compared to the source. I don’t know how they convinced Adrian Paul to be in that horrible movie making Duncan look so bad
