Jack Dangers is a bona fide genius. Electronic band with drums, guitar and bass. I'm standing in line outside and this Jawja redneck lookin' guy with his hot redneck girlfriend walks up and asks to no one in particular, hey man, who's jammin' at this place tonight? And this too cool hipster behind me says well it's Meat Beat Manifesto. It's not really drum and bass it's kinda blah blah blah (insert hipster talk about obscure electronica genres.) The redneck dude says...wut? It was awesome. The show was incredible. Started and ended mildly, but the meat is transcendent. It was Jack and the real drummer and a guy who played sometimes guitar and sometimes bass or keyboard. There was also a skinny hippie looking dude who danced. Yep. It was like the 60's or like Ben Carr from the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Could have easily been annoying but wasn't. The first three tracks are mono because of imperfect cabling. This is a repost of this show. As if a fast turntable wasn't enough, turns out one of the many tape decks I've used was spooling fast, too. Not by a lot but kudos to Nuxx1876 who's good ear discerned that the whole affair was "pitched up by a semitone." My subsequent nerd investigation proved him absolutely correct. This new transfer is from a top of the line studio pro deck which was just overhauled and is running like a Swiss watch.
