A humidifier is a device that increases humidity in a room. Ultrasonic humidifiers use a piezoelectric transducer to create a high frequency oscillation in a water film. This forms an extremely fine mist of droplets, about one micron in diameter, that quickly evaporates into the airflow.
One of the negative features of ultrasonic humidifiers is that the piezoelectric disc can be destroyed if the humidifier runs out of water. That’s why it is very important to implement an automatic shut-off of the humidifier when the disc is dry.
Another negative feature is that it doesn't make mist due to some deposit on its surface if not in use for several hours.
In this video we have shown that using a Piezo Humidifier after few hours of switchef off, it doesn't make mist due to some deposit on its surface even when distilled water is used. We identified this problem and also discovered the solution to this problem which is shown in this video.
