Thank you for this. I've lubed mine up before i fitted it . Someone didn't put a sump gasket on my van and used silicone sealant. Trouble is they put too much on and it starved the rockers . Think i caught it just in time because there was only the brass from the rocker wheels in the sumo and no other metals i hope. Forgive my grammar as I've just had to learn to read and write again after a head injury.

You use the old carrier? Because I been told that the carriers are machined to fit a certain engine and not interchangeable?

Problem starting the engine tapping noise 🙄??????we think it's the tappits

It can be the tappets, but there are many more problems with tapping noise. Did you do pump learn. What oil did you use?Did you change the timing chain?
