KTM EXC 125 "Golden" Project

- Here is a Ktm exc project from this winter. Bike was built with low budget and it took approximately 4 weekends.
One of the main points of this project was to prove people that you dont need huge amounts of money to get your bike looking mint. Paint, polish and cleaning is sometimes all you need. We used like 350€ to this project and result was dope.

Hi, I'm going to paint my plastics in mate black to and i wanted to know what did you use to paint them and how did you do it?
Who put on the headlight in the beginning? It was kinda ugly, glad you changed it ;)
Standard Dude its stock in 2005 models ;) and yes new ones are nicer

KWR Niihä siitä tuli. Joo oon kullu että ei olla osattu pitää huolta pyörästä... Mulla oli kyllä aina puhdas ja hyväkuntoinen, eikä ollut ainuttakaan vikaa. Kylhä niitä vikojaki sitte alkaa tulemaan ku ei osata tai viitsitä huoltaa.

toihan on nelariin tarkotettu toi musta tankki ku siinä on ryypylle reikä sivus, tiiätkö mistä sais ostettuu mustan ku ei löydy mistää? pitäs laittaa omaan 525 exc 07

Those colors are sign of overheating. Overheating may lead to internal material destruction and weakness.
I think that brake rotors are made of hardened steel, and hardening is done by heating and fast cooling in oil. Maybe if you heat it again it will get soft again.
Martin Cilic Have you seen racing bikes discs glowing pure red from heating? That temperature is not even close to what we used to get those colors i think

Rasse Ruiskulla kultaiset osat ja sprayllä mustat. Teippaaminen saattaa olla hieman hankalaa ensikertalaiselle kun pitää föönin kanssa kikkailla.
