This was a proper group 1 race ,best iv seen for a while and the two horses in the photo where by far the best horses, loved it,altough i had nathaniel, thats the way it goes
She has cemented her place in the record books by being the first filly to win the king george and arc double and she may become a legend if she can win the arc again because her trained has said she is going to the arc this year.I had a big bet on her too today so i am very happy obviously:)
If danedream winning the arc was one off or fluke as some expert's has been saying then her winning the KG certainly boosted the arc win. Also remember danedream did the travelling here and not nathaniel and nat is as game as they come.I dare to say danedream, snow fairy and shareta will dominate the arc again,They are all in brilliant form now and i am quite confident this ladies will run superbly again.
Danedream already get the better of st.nic twice now and we all know how well position st.nic was in the arc before danedream flew past him.I bet danedream would have been the favourite in the race if he was trained in UK,Danedream was a good filly but now has become a great filly and if she can win the arc again then she would be up there with the all time great's.This by far is the best king george in a long time with top quality finish.I bet we gonna see a great arc this year as well.
It's been a vintage year, lots of really good horses. I'm delighted Nathaniel won the Eclipse, because he's been unlucky to be running at a time when the likes of Frankel, Camelot and Danedream are around. Most years he would be getting far more plaudits. It was great to see the King George back to it's best. I agree about SNA, don't think he would've won, but still a poor ride and I'm a JO'B fan. The Arc could be the best depth wise since '86, I'm getting very excited about it already.
still cant believe and dont want to believe nathaniel lost that race that really was a perfect example of the bob of the head as half a stride before or after the line nathaniel was retaining his crown. and yes my pocket is talking!
Christophe Soumillon, the jockey of Zarkava said that Orfevre was the best horse he had ever ridden. Interesting comment! That Danedream is certainly a great one. I hope she comes out of quarantine and proves herself. The Breeders' Cup though is not as good as it used to be. The top racing seems to have shifted to Europe.
they were hardley by far the best horses, re-watch the race again player-camming St Nicholas Abbey, if he was closer to the pace he could have had a great chance to win this race.
Yes mate,I actually had bet a saver on him as i believed from the start its a race for danedream and dunaden to lose but after seeing him in the front i knew for sure he is not going to win.Williams came only to ride him and what a joke of a ride it turns out to be lol. I still was very happy coz seeing the tote i was rooting for danedream more because she had higher payout:P
I had a small bet on her because I couldn't believe her price especially considering how she blew away the Arc field last year. I love really good fillies, Triptych got me interested in racing in the first place, and Danedream is a very very good filly. She never got the plaudits she deserved after the Arc last year, I don't know if it was because she is trained in Germany, hopefully she'll be taken more seriously now. Top run by Nathaniel too. Agree SNA given too much to do, waste of pacemaker
the way I see it if Buick was on SNA he would have won, im not sure about entries but if he's in this year's Arc i'll be betting on him to place on Betfair! Joseph O'Brian's been caught napping a few times now when strong fields force a very strong pace, with moments of brialliance he still shows inexperience from time to time, I've a lot of time for the horse.
if st nic was closer to the pace,he would not of been able to pick up like he did, thats why he was held up,to preserve his energy, hes like sea moon, both have a quick turn of pace but in this truely run race no chance!
As far as i know SILVANO was the last superstar and globe trotter from germany and now they have danedream which is good for them. They at least can improve their racing with this kind of recognition.I still don't see any superstar coming from italy like the great ribot nowdays.Off topic, did a aussie win the open?I thought ernie els won it:P
I agree Lee, yet to be convinced by Camelot. I don't know if he'll find another gear against better opposition but he's just being made to look good by a weak crop around him. Not one 3 year old has won any of our top WFA races this year.
Well,I always had respect with the japanese middle distance runners ever since el condor pasa losed gamely to montjeu and even the legendary deep impact had found difficulty winning the arc.Let's just wait and see if orfevre could give the japanese their first arc win.I still believe the mares will be running a great race.
Nathaniel will renew their rivalry at the arc,He ran a top race but that small margin was the difference,It could easily been a deadheat as well.I don't thnk st.nic would have won even if he had been closer because the top 2 was on a different class today.Sea moon had no excuses and this is what you get when your thrown into a top class field:)
I thought Orfevre would win when no one knew of him. I got 20/1 a bit back but after seeing the last run I cant see him winning now Camelot or Saonois.
Although I backed Danedream in this St Nicholas Abbey was the best horse in the race if he was with Nathaniel and Danedream when they kicked he would of won by lengths. Anyway if Camelot goes to he arc or St Nicholas Abbey I know what I am backing!
When you consider how hard Danedream had to work to beat the second horse who was soundly beaten by Frankel and that Danedream smashed the Arc course record then how good was Frankel boys ?
Craig Williams rode a shocker on Dunaden, since when has he been ridden so close and especially when there is pace on. I still believe SYT would've won this comfortably but that's just my opinion
I would love to see all the top gun there especially camelot with all the hype and i would like to see main sequence there as well. Then we will see a superb race and that's what racing is all about.I know this breeders want to avoid this and that horses so that the breeding value won't go down but we want to see a top class race and the horses love to run as well so why don't give them the chance to measure up against each other.
He was one or two lengths ahead of Danedream on the straight in the arc and finished a weakening 5th. If every horse that runs on, tracks the pace closer next time and simply wins, we´d all be millionaires, cause everyone can spot running on horses. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn´t. In this case SNA has been tried with different tactics against Danedream and failed twice.
Will take a good one to beat her, last year in arc went flat out whole way, she can be better with that experience. on other hand not many win it twice the weight changes so much. looking for an unexposed 3 year old for the bet.
Camelot had beaten who he had to beat, he's undeafeated,no? First he will run at Leopardstown or St Leger and in the Arc it'll be harder against danedream, nathanial but seeing the video he won the irish derby easier than we could think. We ll see.
If Camelot goes to the Arc it won't get sighted against these top class horses. Danedream, Nathaniel & St Nicholas Abbey are lengths better than Camelot at this stage.
Joseph o'Brien should be arrested for his performance on st,nic, just as well his dad is his boss, you would'nt see Murtagh or Fallon making such an error of judgement, will be backing the horse in the arc if Heffernan rides
no chance st nicholas the best horse, crazy talk, nathaniel just won a group 1 2 weeks ago and only his second run of the season, and st nic in the arc another right handed track ,wake up kid ,your way off
Der absolute Wahnsinn, diese Stute!
Glückwunsch an Andrasch Starke!
Legendary Little Filly! ❤absolutely incredible heart she had..
Danedream she is so cool *-* awesome, the horse is awesome *-*
Danedream is a hero!💞💥👏👏👏👏 Starke and Schiergen
Danedream and Andrasch ! yes ! congrats, well done !
This was a proper group 1 race ,best iv seen for a while and the two horses in the photo where by far the best horses, loved it,altough i had nathaniel, thats the way it goes
Thank you very much:frienship Sir !
Wow what a finish! 😂🐎😍
Looking at St Nicholas Abbey, I love how Montjeu really put a stamp on his horses.
She has cemented her place in the record books by being the first filly to win the king george and arc double and she may become a legend if she can win the arc again because her trained has said she is going to the arc this year.I had a big bet on her too today so i am very happy obviously:)
She will be in foal to Frankel in 2013, she was on the list of accepted nominations.
Great race
If danedream winning the arc was one off or fluke as some expert's has been saying then her winning the KG certainly boosted the arc win. Also remember danedream did the travelling here and not nathaniel and nat is as game as they come.I dare to say danedream, snow fairy and shareta will dominate the arc again,They are all in brilliant form now and i am quite confident this ladies will run superbly again.
20/1. Bloody hell! That's a fantastic price. the bookies must be crazy.
Danedream certainly is good. Beat the Melbourne Cup winner also! Great win by Danedream.
The only filly in the race!
Close to emulate Dahlia and late 1990s horse Swain.

That was a great price. I saw that also, and thought that the horse might not come across. Camelot was also at 8s early on.
I believe she is the only one. Had Zarkava been given the opportunity though, she would have been successful. She was a fantastic mare.
It is rare for anything to win both races. As far as a filly/mare is concerned, this is a first I think.
The quarantine ends in January so she wont run in Japan, but there is rumour that she may run still in 2013
04:15 weirdest shout ever

Sassafras -- Nijinski..
1970
Even better..
lol ,great point

St Nicholas Abbey just never seems himself going right-handed.....
I thought Orfevre would win when no one knew of him. I got 20/1 a bit back but after seeing the last run I cant see him winning now Camelot or Saonois.
One word...frankel
Although I backed Danedream in this St Nicholas Abbey was the best horse in the race if he was with Nathaniel and Danedream when they kicked he would of won by lengths. Anyway if Camelot goes to he arc or St Nicholas Abbey I know what I am backing!

btw... danedream is in foal to Frankel.... exciting
Frankel didn't stay a mile and a half.
Frankel would of stayed
To true! Orfevre is a champ also. Pity Danedream didn't start.
wie scheiße KNAPP! xD
Como la demostración de Harbinger no he visto nada igual.

da freuen sich die Geldgierige wieder mal über den Sieg

"an aussie wins the open" aaaaaaaaaahahaha Ernaaaaaaaayieiei\yayayeieuiueie
Camelot will win the Arc if he goes for it. If Camelot dosent go for it Saonois will win it.
I guarantee you didnt back Danedream...enough said!
SYT would've smoked this lot
Awful rides on Sea Moon and St Nic Abbey, O Brien and Moore thought they were sitting on a Jet engine, too far back.
In my opinion, Nathaniel ran the better race.
He's not.
no chance st nicholas the best horse, crazy talk, nathaniel just won a group 1 2 weeks ago and only his second run of the season, and st nic in the arc another right handed track ,wake up kid ,your way off
WRONG again Flanders...
That's a logical excuse but danedream has got the better of st.nic twice now.I tend to believe danedream is surely better than him.
