Hip-Hop's profile has never been bigger, and the rugged trap music of Atlanta has transcended the genre to influence mainstream popular music and culture. As a new generation of talent pushes the music's popularity to new heights, Zaytoven cements his status as one of modern Hip-Hop's most impactful and prolific producers.
Zaytoven's studio in his parent's basement was the incubator for some of the scene's greatest talents. While his list of collaborators is extensive, one of his most notable partnerships is with ATL icon Gucci Mane. The work they created together is genre defining, and the two continue to be a driving force in Hip-Hop.
Phenomenally talented and remarkably humble, Zay's commitment to his values and faith has kept him on his creative path as he continues to gift us with more music.

The Note: Zaytoven | Red Bull Music - Zábava
That basement should be a Atlanta historic site, so much talent and so many bangers created there🔥
No not really because he still lives their and his parents do and the don't want random people walking in his house. Tbh.
Nah, that's just weird.
Zaytoven is a special dude. His parents did a great job raising this young man
Word up
As a life long fan of hip hop I can say with certainty that this young producer is the truth🤯
Especially taking him out from the Bay Area
Yes they did
Lol he no young man........OK maybe at heart, huh he no young.
Parents of the century.
Imagine if they had told him to stop making music at some point.
Wish my dad would support me too...
Facts

J.R. Elgran yes sir
Being the worlds best producer is why he never fell off, spirituality doesnt hurt
Facts!!!
@@bugglemagnum6213 of all the popular producers, I think he’s one of the best at the keys. Others come close, but it’s really simple to make “trap” beats on a computer - everybody can’t glide on the keys and play in different genres
Beautiful thing about Gucci Mane is that he elevated and he attached himself to authentic people who had a quality character
Thats definitely true, but Gucci also loves Goons
I look at zay a whole different way after this something about this touched my heart... God bless u my brother...
Justin Crawford same. I’ve followed his music since 08 and knew he was a good dude but you said it, I look at bro in a whole different light now. Incredible soul
🥁

Zay should record a solo-piano album.
Remind people what real soulful music sounds like.
That's dope that he doesn't smoke, drink, or cuss & that he goes to church every sunday
Him and the other Southern producers inspired me to make beats and now I'm an audio engineer. Much love from Africa
*HE WILL REMAIN A LEGEND BECAUSE HE IS LIVING IN HIS PURPOSE*
His discipline is admirable
shoutout to moms and pops!
I didn’t have much faith in God at the beginning of this video. 17 mins might of just changed my mind.
Good Job T C!
9:37 a damn masterpiece in the making
I didn't know much about Zaytoven prior to this documentary. Nothing short of inspiring. Amazing things happen when parents support their child's (children's) dreams.
Very inspiring documentary. Zay is definitely doing the right thing with the talent he is blessed with.
Thank you Jesus
the Key to this whole documentary is that Zay doesn't drink nor smoke! Most importantly he let nothing come between him, his family and church!!! NOW THAT IS THE REAL SUCCESSES IN LIFE......
And Gucci never pressured him to smoke or drank either💪 How we know Zay ain't one of the inspirations of the new Gucci transformation
That is truly musical gifted, when you don't need to smoke or drink to create top quality beats/sounds...
@@mrqh406 then stfu and watch
@@bugglemagnum6213 yo chill
Back in 2006 I knew Zaytoven would be one of the greatest of all time.
Facts
I didn’t know. I didn’t know who he was. I had just moved to ATL in 06. He was my alternate barber when my barber couldn’t get me and he was so humble he never said he was producing for Gucci and they never talked about him like that in the shop. He was cutting at First Class in Stonecrest mall. I don’t think he stopped cutting until he started working on stuff for Usher like a couple years later.
Dam, Atlanta is such a special place 💯 Respect to Zay and his whole family. Dude, playing in the church every Sunday. Mad respect 💯 This reminds me of the stories I used to read about Rico Wade and The Dungeon. This whole documentary is 🔥
RIP Bankroll Fresh
@TroubleChizzy2010 Zay a cali dude!
@TroubleChizzy2010 Trap sound came from Memphis. Zay a big part of the modern movement but the sound always been in the South.

Timmydahitman Beats i made 🔥 to one of ur beats, hope every artist gets more inspired, this made me change somethings
Gucci telling them folk you don't smoke, drink or cuss was most definitely Gucci protecting you Zay! He was setting the tone for how other's should approach you and thats 💯
Damn!!! I wasn’t expecting to hold back tears while watching this. RIP BANKROLL FRESH
And RIP Young Dolph too
When he said "how did we click so fast, I dont know", thats when I thought. The power of music does really connect people. Thats the beauty of music
I like how OJ the Juiceman used "polluted" in a such a positive way although it has a negative definition and conotation and there's no antonym that really has the same effect
I have even more respect for Zaytoven after seeing and hearing from his heart. Bruh is Legendary.
great mini doc....he's definitely a legendary producer...never new he was straight edge..
I just having a whole new respect for Zaytoven. I never watched anything about him just always heard the name being a beat maker.

Zay: not being allowed to listen to rap growing up due to its lyrical content
Also Zay: becomes one of the most important producers in history for artists that talk about selling dope out the trap house

One of my favorite videos of this YEAR! Appreciate it Red Bull for doing these & Zay for sharing & being who you are. 💪
Gosh this documentary came right on time for the past two years I have been struggling to balance my way into going fully into music as an artist & producer but have this big fight in my mind of being a church musician while while I struggle to balance the church and secular. This documentary really gave me the boost I need.

Thanks for this😔☝️!
Really helped my journey.
I look up to zay so much, I enrolled into barber college, bought my own laptop and keyboard and started teaching myself how to make beats. There’s so many guys out there getting famous off of their beats but they have connections. I have no one but myself. I’m 30 years old and meeting zaytoven and talking to him is at the top of my bucket list. He’s the best... hands down
Solid documentary! Trailblazer.
This was dope, respects Zaytiggy
RIP Bankroll
