- Had a quick visit to a couple of the filming locations for Rita, Sue and Bob Too today. Really cool to see Bob's house, hardly changed at all. It's a shame they recently demolished the Beacon Pub was looking forward to seeing that.

Apparently George Costigan, who played Bob, didn't have a full driving license and so a member of the crew was hiding in the footwell of the Rover during the driving scenes, to make it legal!

Great footage m8..we went up to see out the locations too..found the moors location where they run through the gates it's on baildon moors..we got to Bob's house and we gotta go back to do the rest don't forget buttershaw estate. The pubs gone now sadly..we gotta go to Haworth too. A Great lil video you did..

Love the movie, just watched on Talking Pictures Ch.82. Bob’s house is practically unchanged. Brilliant tracking shot just like the film. Where is the rough estate does it still exist in Bradford?
It's Buttershaw in Bradford. It still exists, but it's been renovated since then.

Michelle was an interesting character, there are indications that her background wasn't that different from Rita's and Sue's but she had adopted a "fur coat and no knickers" persona.
Funny you didn't go into Buttershaw estate....
I mistimed the visit, it was going dark. Did drive around the estate, even found Rita’s house.
