Yamaha FZ-X Highlights
Yamaha has launched its first neo-retro bike in India, the Yamaha FZ-X. You can read all about the just-launched motorcycle in our launch report.
The Yamaha FZ-X is based on the Yamaha FZ-S Fi platform, so it shares most of its core components with the streetfighter. With the FZ-X, Yamaha is targeting the retro segment below the Royal Enfield Bullet 350. It will be ideal for those looking for an affordable retro bike packed with modern, practical features.
Yamaha FZ-X Price in India:
The Yamaha FZ-X prices start from Rs 1,16,800 and Rs 1,19,800 for the variants with and without the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect feature respectively. The base variant is Rs 12,100 dearer than the FZ-S Fi without Bluetooth connectivity whereas the connected version of the FZ-X is Rs 11,600 pricier than the FZ-S Fi with connectivity. All prices ex-showroom Delhi.
Yamaha FZ-X Features:
The Yamaha FZ-X comes with an all-LED headlamp and tail lamp. It also gets a modern full-LCD instrument cluster compatible with the Yamaha Y-Connect app. This combo helps the rider access features such as call and SMS alerts, mileage details, last parked location, and malfunction alert. However, there is no turn-by-turn navigation on offer here. Other notable features include a USB charging port just below the instrument console, offset fuel tank cap, and a tuck-and-roll single-piece seat with upright handlebars. It also gets a single-channel ABS and side-stand engine cut-off feature for better safety. As part of the official accessory list, Yamaha offers LED indicators, engine guard, seat cover, tank grips, and chromed-out rearview mirrors.
Yamaha FZ-X Engine:
The Yamaha FZ-X is powered by the same 149cc fuel-injected air-cooled engine found on the FZ-S. It churns out 12.4PS and 13.3Nm, mated to a 5-speed transmission. Yamaha could’ve tweaked the motor for a better bottom-end grunt to go with the retro character of the motorcycle. Interestingly, this engine makes just 0.6PS more than the Bajaj Pulsar 125.
Yamaha FZ-X Suspension & Brakes:
The motorcycle packs a gaitered front fork and a rear monoshock. The alloy wheels are wrapped with block pattern tyres (100-section front and 140-section rear) for a more rugged look. The motorcycle comes to a halt using disc brakes at both ends with single-channel ABS as standard. At 139kg, the Yamaha FZ-X is 2kg heavier than the FZ-S Fi. It also gets a generous 165mm ground clearance.
Yamaha FZ-X Rivals:
The next most affordable retro bike after the Yamaha FZ-X is the Royal Enfield Bullet 350. However, it is priced at quite a premium, Rs 1.60 lakh (on-road Delhi). For around the FZ-X’s price, you could also take a look at the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer, or even the Aprilia SXR 125. - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Don't buy Yamaha fzx, it's a waste of money. I bought this bike on 25th August 2021.Battery down is the major problem of this bike. I fed up with this bike
happens with all yamaha bikes in this range, it's because of Blueooth module. Just disconnect it and it won't happen again. I'm sure you'd have figured this out by now.
