- In this second episode Kinyua Wa Ndugire talks about how the white soldiers (Johnnies) attacked them and how they fought back using guns, grenades and machettes. He also talks of Mbaara ya Rui Ruiru (battle at the black river) as the bloodiest and most epic of all Mau Mau battles.
For those who do not know where 'Rui Ruiru' is located; it is in Mathira constituency, Nyeri county ...these are the heroes and heroines who liberated Kenya from slavery.
And where is Lali?and who was that Luka wa Kahangara?and where was he staying?and which is that Liver Gura?

A plaque with the names of all these heros must be put up in there honor. That even if the next generations are made to forget, your children will always remember your greatness.

Mbaria kaniu is one of less talked heros of mau mau.
He is the one who led the massacre in naivasha prison that led to declaration of state of emergency in 1952.
He led war in aberdare forest ...

burguret my area,,,,, we are happy to be one of the original inhabitats in burguret nanyuki and we have known the place for 64 years and am happy my dad was part of the Mau Mau fighters.

Had i been alive during those days, i would have been the worst nightmare for nyakeru. I would have fed their kids to them, and tortured them in the most grotesque and horrible of ways. Nyakeru ndimwendete ona hanini..
