Good you bring out the true nature of Montreal. Most of the time, people will say oh look it's a friendly city but once you live here for some time then you realize it's quite the opposite. In my experience, I find the city not very welcoming and there's always a hesitancy of which language one should use to approach. Honestly good for you on moving out, there's nothing special about Montreal that can't be had in other cities.
    P.S. MTL bagels are overrated.

Covid hit us all . I relate to alot you are saying and the death of my father and grandma a week apart. My dad was young and healthy and was gone without warning. I'm happy you're crawling out.

Hey Kendall... I'm watching this video because I watched your other one about living in Montreal as an English speaker. I'm a AA woman born and raised from New York City and now living in the south for the last 5 years, all here in the United States. With all that's happening here in our country, I'm thinking about moving to Montreal. Trust me, my 9th grade daughter is taking French now and since it's virtual I'm learning with her. 🙏🏽 I may be old enough to be your Mom, 👀 maybe 😂, but I will say it sounds like your ex may have been a narc. Would need to know more of his behaviors other than cheating and lying, which are a common two though. That emotional and psychological draining you tried to describe is common from interacting with them. I wish you the best lil sis ☮️🌻🖤✊🏽💪🏽. I been there and done that. I'm starting a channel myself although I have moments I don't think I want to. 🙄 Ha! Well, just love yourself first, fix your "holes" from childhood in order to help with not allowing codependency have you draw in narcissists, covert or malignant, tolerate bullshit or ignore red flags from the gate about anyone, romantically or otherwise, ever again. 💖 See you in these CZcams streets, maybe. 😘 #blackgirlmagic

He was definitely a Narc ! Which was hard for me to understand cus I didn't see it while I was with him but... He wouldn't accept the answer no from me, he would embarrass me to try and shame me into getting what he wants and when confronted with an issue immediately resorted to "wow I guess I'm just a bad guy!". On top of it all he monitored my social media use and get angry if I started using a platform I don't normally use, but then he told me he didn't have facebook or twitter but had it the whole time and actively updated them. But I don't dwell on it, it was a lot to process now that hindsight is 20/20. I'm so happy it's in the past now and I'm not in that situation

I’m sorry to hear that you experienced those challenges but I see they are making you into a stronger person and better you. It’s really good to see that you are in a good space mentally and physically. I looked forward to seeing your videos because my daughter and I are planning to move to Montreal and we were excited to hear about your adventures. I hope you will continue posting and we wish you all the best! Just one question if you don’t mind me asking, what part of Montreal were you in? Take care😀

@@goldenxkenny oh okay. I have never heard of those places. When we visit we normally go to Lasalle, it’s the most southern part of Montreal. We’ve enjoyed it every time we’ve gone….so far. Thanks again for sharing and take care of yourself.

As a single person, whenever I travel as a tourist to a big city like Montreal I can really feel my loneliness, as it appears to be a romantic city for couples.

@@goldenxkenny I only suggest Atlanta or Florida because you mentioned it was hard to make friends, I live in Ontario too and I could only image how much less black people are in Montreal. I feel like if your surrounded by more people who look like you they would feel more comfortable approaching you and you might have a better experience. But that just my opinion.
