- Hey guys! Today is another episode from my series Thrift Store Makeovers, where I take a used, worn out item (OR sometimes from yard sales or off of ebay) clean it up, fix it up and decorate it. I love hunting through thrift stores to find old, rejected items and then decorating them and putting my own style on them to turn them into new pieces of art. I've definitely missed these thrift flips and I want to do more thrifting soon.

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 28 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try).

Moriah should paint a giant dollhouse and make mini versions of her squishies as dolls for her kids when she feels better! ❤️ like when she feels better she dan make 1 or 2 mini squishies per week for the doll house (also she has more vid ideas for every friday then) and when she feels 100% better then she could maybe do the doll house 😊

With all the great characters and backstories, and with ever growing adventures... I would love Moriah to write and illustrate her own children's book.
My toddler already comes running when she hears Moriah, she would love a book about the characters she watches come to life.

I’ll never stop loving the stories you create for your characters. Even when something doesn’t go as you planned or you realize later that you may have made a “mistake”, you always find a way to make it a part of the character’s history. And it just makes the characters more endearing and interesting. I never thought I’d be an almost 40 year old who is completely enthralled by the lore of dessert creatures. 😂

I recommend using tinfoil inside the clay, like a base! It makes the clay lighter!

Don’t forget to do your annual sea shell 🐚 painting video!! *(If you can I know you have a cute little new born to take care of!!❤❤❤)*
For the clay blob at 3:29 , you can use aluminum foil as a base and wrap the clay around it, this saves a lot of clay! Love your vids ❤
And a lot of time, I use that clay too, and it takes DAYS to dry if you keep it out.
(This is dependent on the size)

I think the pale horizontal line on the donuts before gesso is actually the place where the donut doesn't brown as much when being fried. You fry one side while the donut floats in the hot oil, then turn it over and fry the other side. You get a pale stripe in the middle where the donut was exposed twice to cooler oil on the surface.
