I was born and lived till my teenage years in Liaquatabad no 2 and went to govt high school in Liaquatabad no4 in the mid seventies and moved to Canada in1976. . Liaquatabad no 2 was very diverse, clean and very close knit neighbourhood( where everyone knows your name and family). I had very fond memories of growing up in Lalukhet. I still remember renting my very first bicycle from babu bhai shop and getting a latest novel or digest from Mamoo book store for my father. I still remember buying fresh samosa from maqbool mithaiwala.

For the 5th class I attended Primary school block number 9. I attended Tachnical High School Jacob Lines afterwards then on to Karachi Polytechnic. After that I proceeded to USA for higher education, this is where I accimplished my dreams and deided to call it a home.

I still cannot forget those very talented and good teachers from 1971-1976! Now I am a professional accountant here in London - I owe it all those lovely teachers!
He is absolutely right my grand parents were migrated to Lalu khait my father was born there. I have heard alot about that place. Khuloos, izzat and they were all united. It was a lively place back then. Some amazing talents are from Lalu khait moin akhtar, umer Sharif and some sports personalities. But it changed after the Shia Sunni riots in late 70s

ایک وضاحت ، میں 21 اگست 1976 کو بعمر 15 سال سپر مارکیٹ کے اس افتتاحی جلسے کی تیسری رو میں بیٹھا تھا اور عین میرے پیچھے بیٹھے ایک سفید ٹی شرٹ پہنے نوجوان نے بھٹو پہ جوتا اس وقت پھینکا تھا کہ جب وہ دونوں ہاتھ کمر پہ رکھ کے بڑے طنطنے سے یہ کہ رہے تھے کہ لوگ کہتے تھے کہ بھٹو لیاقت آباد نہیں آسکتا ، دیکھو میں یہاں کھڑا ہوں اور کہاں ہیں وہ طعنے مارنے والے ، بس پھر پہلے ایک اور پھردوسرے ہی لمحے مزید دو جوتے روسٹرم کی طرف پھینکے گئے جن میں سے صرف ایک روسٹرم پہ لگا تھا باقی دو اس سے پہلے ہی گر گئے تھے اور یہ بات درست ہے کہ بھٹو نے جوتے مہنگے ہونے والا فقرہ بھی کہا تھا اور یہ بھی کہ نماز کا وقت ہوگیا ہے جبکہ عصر کا وقت بہت دور تھا ۔۔۔ اسکے علاوہ جب وہ مائیک سے ہٹ رہے تھے تو انکی یہ بڑبڑاہٹ بھی لاؤڈاسپیکر پہ سنی گئی تھی کہ مجھے معلوم ہے کہ یہ سب کس نے کروایا ہے ۔۔۔ دلچسپ بات یہ کہ جلسہ گاہ میں الگ الگ جگہوں سے تقریباً ایک ساتھ جوتا پھینکنے والے تینوں افراد سفید ٹی شرٹ ہی پہنے ہوئے تھے دوسری وضاحت ، لیاقت آباد سے شہید ملت کے جس فرزند نے الیکشن لڑا تھا انکا نام اکبر لیاقت تھا تیسری وضاحت : سپر مارکیٹ کی جگہ پہ پہلے کےایم سی مارکیٹ تھی جو ایک بم دھماکے سے زمیں بوس ہوگئی تھی جسکے بعد اردو کے خاتمے کے لسانی بل کے خلاف وہاں ایک بڑا جلوس 7 جولائی 1972 کو نکالا گیا تھا جس پہ پولیس فائرنگ سے سات افراد شہید ہوئے تھے اور انکی قبریں دس نمبر کے موڑ پہ واقع مسجد شہداء کے احاطے میں واقع ہیں گو کہ میں لیاقت آباد میں کبھی نہیں رہا لیکن اسکی نیرنگیوں سے کبھی باہر بھی نہیں رہا ۔۔۔ اسکے پڑوس کے علاقے یعنی ناظم آباد کا رہائشی ہونے کے ناتے میرے بہت سے اسکولی دوست لیاقت آباد میں رہتے تھے - ایک دور کے رشتہ دار بھی وہیں اسی چوک کے سامنے مقیم تھے کہ جہاں1977 کی پی این اے تحریک کے جلوس پہ فائرنگ کرنے والے پپلیئے اللہ بندہ نامی جیالے کوتشد کرکے قتل کردیا گیا گیا تھا (لیاقت آباد میں متعدد جھنڈا چوک ہیں)اور برائے عبرت لاش جھنڈا چوک پہ ٹانگی گئی تھی
Great remind me my school years I did my primary school from Govt boys school liaqat abad #2 then went to Govt boys school #4 for my high school.Islah uddin (Hokey captain at the same school) was senior but seen him playing there at that time was great ground at that school later I finished my study’s from D.J college then KarachI university but it’s a history now I am in USA doing great and working as a Chief Engineer in a Robotics designing. I would be retiring soon then would be visiting KArachi and my lovely Lalo kaiet. Inshallah.

Most of his knowledge seems to be incomplete, even about the area he was living.The most popular personalities such as Ali Mukhtar Rizvi (1964 riots on the election of MS. Fatemah Jinnah against Ayub Khan)one of the group of famous students Meraj Muhammad Khan,.Shahanshah Hussain, Fatehyaab Ali Khan. World renowned artist Moin Akhtar marhoom used reside in Liaquatabad No. 5.Till 1964 Liaquatabad was very peaceful area carrying commercial value. People mostly from surrounding areas such as Nazimabad, North Nazimabad , F.B Area etc; used to come to purchase groceries, utensils even gold ornaments and other items from the market on cheapest rates.

As regards education , MQM did not do much to Improve education any where in Karachi . On the contrary they spoiled education , I have seen it in Karachi University .The community that was known for tahzssb and manners , lost it due to MQM.

اور یہ بات درست ہے کہ بھٹو نے جوتے مہنگے ہونے والا فقرہ بھی کہا تھا اور یہ بھی کہ نماز کا وقت ہوگیا ہے جبکہ عصر کا وقت بہت دور تھا ۔۔۔ اسکے علاوہ جب وہ مائیک سے ہٹ رہے تھے تو انکی یہ بڑبڑاہٹ بھی لاؤڈاسپیکر پہ سنی گئی تھی کہ مجھے معلوم ہے کہ یہ سب کس نے کروایا ہے ۔۔۔ دلچسپ بات یہ کہ جلسہ گاہ میں الگ الگ جگہوں سے تقریباً ایک ساتھ جوتا پھینکنے والے تینوں افراد سفید ٹی شرٹ ہی پہنے ہوئے تھے

تیسری وضاحت : سپر مارکیٹ کی جگہ پہ پہلے کےایم سی مارکیٹ تھی جو ایک بم دھماکے سے زمیں بوس ہوگئی تھی جسکے بعد اردو کے خاتمے کے لسانی بل کے خلاف وہاں ایک بڑا جلوس 7 جولائی 1972 کو نکالا گیا تھا جس پہ پولیس فائرنگ سے سات افراد شہید ہوئے تھے اور انکی قبریں دس نمبر کے موڑ پہ واقع مسجد شہداء کے احاطے میں واقع ہیں
گو کہ میں لیاقت آباد میں کبھی نہیں رہا لیکن اسکی نیرنگیوں سے کبھی باہر بھی نہیں رہا ۔۔۔ اسکے پڑوس کے علاقے یعنی ناظم آباد کا رہائشی ہونے کے ناتے میرے بہت سے اسکولی دوست لیاقت آباد میں رہتے تھے - ایک دور کے رشتہ دار بھی وہیں اسی چوک کے سامنے مقیم تھے کہ جہاں1977 کی پی این اے تحریک کے جلوس پہ فائرنگ کرنے والے پپلیئے اللہ بندہ نامی جیالے کوتشد کرکے قتل کردیا گیا گیا تھا (لیاقت آباد میں متعدد جھنڈا چوک ہیں)اور برائے عبرت لاش جھنڈا چوک پہ ٹانگی گئی تھی

Great remind me my school years I did my primary school from Govt boys school liaqat abad #2 then went to Govt boys school #4 for my high school.Islah uddin (Hokey captain at the same school) was senior but seen him playing there at that time was great ground at that school later I finished my study’s from D.J college then KarachI university but it’s a history now I am in USA doing great and working as a Chief Engineer in a Robotics designing. I would be retiring soon then would be visiting KArachi and my lovely Lalo kaiet. Inshallah.

Most of his knowledge seems to be incomplete, even about the area he was living.The most popular personalities such as Ali Mukhtar Rizvi (1964 riots on the election of MS. Fatemah Jinnah against Ayub Khan)one of the group of famous students Meraj Muhammad Khan,.Shahanshah Hussain, Fatehyaab Ali Khan. World renowned artist Moin Akhtar marhoom used reside in Liaquatabad No. 5.Till 1964 Liaquatabad was very peaceful area carrying commercial value. People mostly from surrounding areas such as Nazimabad, North Nazimabad , F.B Area etc; used to come to purchase groceries, utensils even gold ornaments and other items from the market on cheapest rates.
My father was one the initial alottees of Liaquatabad. Block 5, 1st home is our and still we have that home. My father was famous educationist.
