• There are different ways to jump off a truss. Jumping off while going down a truss gives you more distance and less height, and jumping off while going up a truss gives you more height and less distance. • You can beat SCs as break towers too if they are relatively easy for you. • Try playing towers around your skill level outside of JToH to maintain your skill when you're not playing JToH. • If any jumps feel uncomfortable to perform, then try exploring your own ways of executing that jump.
sorry for this necropost, but you can also "jump" directly up (under the case where you cant flick up) when your animation stops while climbing up a truss (usually happens at the top of the truss) you jump and roblox will see it as you jumping directly up
here are some of my tips 1: camera positioning when doing a hard obby or tower, you need to position your camera so you can do the jumps 2: simple avatar if you have a very heavy avatar, sometimes it can block other things or possibly get in your way when trying to see what’s the next jump 3: glitches glitches come across randomly, so it’s good to know them. if you play difficulty chart obbies, glitches might appear here and there so it’s good to know how to do them and how to master them
for anger control: it really only comes with maturity. maybe taking a break from obbies or games as a whole can help, or start putting more value on progress than on wins, that'll help a lot. for me, taking a break from obbies to get more mature helped a lot, and now im much more careless when it comes to fails.
The best way to practise any obby is by simply starting with an all-jumps run. then proceeding to start from the 2nd to last jump from the end, when you make it to the end from that jump, you just go to the jump leading up to that 2nd to last jump and repeat the same process, (since towers are usually very lenghty I recommend doing a full floor if it's shorter floors and half-floors in the case of longer floors.) Tip to get better: Get really good at one style before learning to play another style if you're really good at trusses/ladders, try playing obbies which use trusses/ladders as the main style, get to a high degree of skill on that style, and only then go and learn whatever other style you fancy (examples of styles are: Jank, Trussing, Wraparound, Client object spam, glitch heavy obbies, low roof obbies, no jump obbies, and wallhop spam)
Something I do for the trusses and ladders, is just jump off and try again or just climb back down to a position where I can successfully complete the jump. As a new obby player, and a very impatient obby player, I found this trick helpful. But, flicking is probably more efficient for other people, so that’s also another option too.
Another thing you have to make sure of while trying to get better is that you enjoy what you are playing, as for me, no extreme tower was fun. But, when ToAE was released, I found it was the perfect tower for me to grind, and eventually, I decided to attempt ToHH, and beat it with ease
Absolutely, ToBK was really fun for me but I hated ToAE, so I beat ToBK in a little over a week and enjoyed it. But then I tried ToAE after which is easier but it's been months and I haven't done it.
About the game switching thing, that’s what I did. I played Obby creator for months and got kinda bored of it, so I had to switch games and stuff. Over time I learned to expand my games and play more games than just the same stuff over and over again. For example, I used to play obby creator about 3-4 hours a week. Now, I say I probably play it about 20m a week. (Only because I don’t play obby creator a lot anymore) It helps! I don’t like playing the same games anyway because I just get bored of it, and end up not wanting to play it anymore, and of course I have no game up on the line so I’m bored
(I know this was made a year ago btw) how I usually practice is to just make my own obby that includes things I struggle with so I can practice easier without having to unlock too many areas to play certain skill boost towers.
For trusses & ladders as well: Ladders allow you to rotate while climbing less than trusses. Keep this in mind when flicking. Lag jumps also will not be present in most games (including JToH) because that would be criticized a lot by every mobile player in these communities. I am not sure, but I believe lag jumps are practically impossible on mobile. Another important tip is: Time management. Especially when trying to beat towers. Some pros can be seen spending hours on a tower according to the timer. Make sure that you have enough time to spend on the tower you are aiming to beat. If you have other priorities in real life, keep them in mind when choosing a tower to beat.
i cant seem to get the timing riht for lag jumps, got any tips for learning them? Ive scoured youtube for tutorials that just say "freeze when you hit the ground", but it feels for precise then that.

Very useful video. Since I already mastered all these, but now I understand why I did that. Anyways thanks
What is really difficult for me are the wallhop wraparounds and jumping from a truss to platform/truss with squeezes or wraps in the way.

Just climb to the roof then hold jump for like a quarter of a second and then u can climb down without problems and it's easier
The number 3 issue can be solved by holding jump for a split moment
you should also explain 2 stud lodges, they are really common in obbies, even some easier obbies
