Those colour swatches really took my breath away when you posted them. Your colour intuition I think is one of the most well refined I’ve ever seen in contemporary art, but what I love about your work especially is that it’s just fun. Very pleasing and evocative, but it’s all very dreamy and happy. Even in your sadder work, there’s still an obvious love of the medium in it.
Anyway! This painting is gorgeous! ❤ The background looks like super-refractive crystal. And I love how the geometric patterns contrast the very soft, flowy shapes of the flowers. So clever and well thought-out.
That big sheet of protective paper under your workspace is such a good idea; I always admire it in your videos too, and think I’d like to do the same. XD
Also I think purple is a tough colour for me. I love it but it's one that I always avoid using.

Ooooh yeah, Purple can be hard!! I went through a time where I rarely used it - but now I 'get' it and love it!

YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM! my favourite colour combo is cyan, magenta, and yellow! with a bit of green thrown in for good measure! and maybe some ultramarine linework! :O DELICIOUS!

I love love love your colour combos! I do a similar thing where I follow my intuition or mood when choosing colours but I think I always like pink in a combo.😊💖

Absolutely adore this piece and convo!! I have been learning so much more about colour theory at work while mixing inks for print jobs. I've been saving a lot of ink swatches there for inspo at home with paint palettes!

oh and to answer your question at the end!!!! I love olive green and warm orangey yellow, those tend to be my go-to colours that end up in almost every piece I do

Red is a tough one. For inspiration you can look at traditional Punjabi weddings and bridal lehengas...they know best how to work with colors Red and Gold...the two colors I struggle with most myself

Muted/pastel colors are my all time fav but lately Ive been reaching for more bright and neon colors. And I usually stray away from pinks/red because they're my least fav colors but I find that theyve really been adding a lot to my work. Will this print be available in your shop later? I know it's a patreon print but are there chances of extras in the shop down the line? I really love it.
