It can take a long time...I heard the Gospel at a concert when I was 17 and nothing clicked on my conscious,then someone told me again at 20 and it made so much sense...the first time it was like I was deaf..now I understand that there are evil spirits that literally cover your spiritual eyes and years to see the truth,and much prayer over one person is required to break that bondage..there is hope but it depends a lot on us and the way we pray.

Brother, we remain in our flesh still, our righteousness is an alien righteousness: the righteousness of Jesus alone. Not ours. We will struggle with sin until we're freed from these bodies of sin and death. This is not to "excuse sin" but rather to testify to the need to look to the Savior alone. It's not our works, smoking or not. The evil one loves to steal our peace and joy in Christ. If you have repented and believe solely in Jesus you are forgiven...don't look away from the King!
I struggle with smoking, I've gone back and forth with its sinfulness or lack thereof. I'm to the point I trust, Jesus in all, the Father knows my heart. The evil one, our enemy loves to condemn. But there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I survived a suicide attempt with a shotgun...I'm doing the best I can. I even use smoke breaks as a witnessing opportunity, which I'm sure the enemy is not too fond of. I rely only on the grace of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It does remain tricky to tell someone peacefully that other religions will not bring salvation from sin like Jesus can. At times, you will be subject to hurtful accusations and harder questions about the complexities of life but those escape the morality of the question. "Scoffers walk after their own lusts." (2 Peter 3) We do need to keep on pleading with such people to consider the Gospel message.
So their wages is death. Justice is served. Im just saying the anger part doesnt make as much sense to me because weve been sinning ever since we fell. Broken world, sinful creatures....but if the judge genuinely loves me, He will sentence me out of principle and i can see God having anger over the sin committed, but not toward the lost soul...wouldnt God also be saddened because they condemned themselves? No. Imagine the human love shared between 2 individuals giving birth to a new life, a new person, that caused in us an inseparable bond with our parents and loved ones, and the love and forgiveness that resulted from such relationships, and the care we received and gave to our loved ones as individuals. All very precious values which you can't buy from the shop from internet!!! Can all these precious ethical values be erased arbitrarily including our individual personality at the altar of some unproven philosophical thought of reincarnation due to unpaid karmic debts? Debts to be paid to whom? Who caused it? God or man? Evolution? Who invented such ideas that we are nothing more than physics and chemistry triggered by energy? Let us not allow ourselves to be blinded and numbed by such capricious, unproven, human ideas! Now, why should we turn to Jesus Christ for answers? Because he never said that we are chemical accidents in this infinite universe nor evolved from apes over millions of years! Instead, He spelt out the human story as that of the Prodigal Son eager to return to his Father's home because his present predicament calls for urgent review of his wayward life that resulted in the tragedy of being all alone in a foreign land, but eager to return home in repentance. He longed to be forgiven and reinstated!! The universe has immense hidden possibilities for those who have faith to overcome gloom and darkness because we live and move in Him who made us!! We are far more intelligent, worthy, and precious than insects, rats, cows, pigs, trees, and other living beings. I have never seen cows herding together to reclaim their lost grassy territories because man has encroached and turned all their grazing grounds into concrete jungles, nor I found any monkies or chimps starting a union to improve their living conditions because we have encroached their forest lands. That is because the animals do not possess a personality whereas we are made with a personality by an Infinite Personal Being called God who alone can satisfy our spiritual thirst. Jesus Christ is the revelation of that God. In human history, Jesus is the only person who knew exactly when He would die, where He would die, how He would die, and why He would die. He also knew that He would come back to life after 3 days of His death. He lives today to prove that He lives.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Ray missed a good opportunity to be more effective than he was. Anthony was being cooperative & polite - smug, but polite. Then, at 9 min. 35 sec., Anthony said, “You're saying that this entity exists, and His name is God. But there are plenty of other religions out there,” to which Ray answered giving the “A painting is proof there was a painter,” etc. Ray’s answer is effective for dealing with the subject of the existence of God, but, obviously, Anthony’s objection had more to do with ‘Why Christianity & not some other religion?’ to which Ray’s answer was clearly entirely ineffective. Instead, all Ray had to say was, “The Law of Non-Contradiction.” The Law of Non-Contradiction is one of the most basic principles of logic, and says that 2 contradicting statements cannot both be true. Anthony was obviously thinking that Christianity is just one of a multitude of belief systems, and was plainly reasoning that, therefore, all religions are equally valid. The Law of Non-Contradiction demonstrates that that cannot be possible. However, Anthony was also overlooking the fact that he has a belief system of his own. So, in other words, Anthony was saying that all belief systems are false - except his.
Remember only way to repent and be saved by Christ act 11:14-18, Luke 11:9-13 just follow only the original gospel tradition teaching not churches but Jesus will guide you personally to the end John 10:1-6, zeph 3:9!
Living Waters at 7:34 you were explaining repentance and you said that won't save you. You are right because that's not the "repentance that leads to salvation". You aren't defining the Greek word metanoia which is the word used when the bible explains "repentance leading to salvation" 2 Corinthians 7:10. If you are going to tell them it won't save them why bother telling them it at all? You are just confusing them. You are putting the cart before the horse. You need to lead the person to salvation before you teach them what to do once they are saved. Forsaking their sin is done after they have been saved with the help of God. You told the guy what you need to do is repent and trust in Christ. Then you define repentance as confessing and forsaking sin and then you say don't play the hypocrite let go of a bunch of your sins but that won't save you. This shows you don't understand "repentance leading to salvation" 2 Corinthians 7:10. Please ask God to show you what it means. God bless you and your family!

@@vuho2075 friend, we don't force people into our belief but we share the Gospel because what we care about is their eternal destination. Whether or not they choose to accept Jesus is their choice and we respect their choice. But we pray for those who've rejected Jesus because the Bible says that there is only one way for us to be redeemed and that is through Christ Jesus.
@@vuho2075 Basically, none of us are good because we've all sinned and fallen short of the ultimate standard of Goodness (God's 10 Commandments). We've all violated this Moral Law, but God made a Way for us to be redeemed through the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. So if we Repent(turn away from sin) and Trust in Jesus, we will be redeemed and go to Heaven.

Also, us Christians should not respect nor should we support false religions, we should always preach out against it, and I understand that a lot of Christians would consider preaching on hell/sin is “hate” but it’s really not man, it’s love, it’s literally part of the gospel to preach on sin and call out false churches and religions. Jesus even preached more on hell than He ever did with Heaven.

It does remain tricky to tell someone peacefully that other religions will not bring salvation from sin like Jesus can. At times, you will be subject to hurtful accusations and harder questions about the complexities of life but those escape the morality of the question. "Scoffers walk after their own lusts." (2 Peter 3)
We do need to keep on pleading with such people to consider the Gospel message.

Broken world, sinful creatures....but if the judge genuinely loves me, He will sentence me out of principle and i can see God having anger over the sin committed, but not toward the lost soul...wouldnt God also be saddened because they condemned themselves? Being that he is a just judge and cannot deny himself, his son gave him no choice. Hope that answers the question 🙏🏼

About our afterlife, we are eager to have much more clearer, solid, satisfactory answers than mere human guesses borrowed from Pythogoras and people who wildly guessed in olden days.
The real answer can come only from the true Teacher who told people "come to me all those who are burdened and heavy laden, I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for I am gentle and humble in my heart, and you will find rest to your soul.
Imagine if we are only the results of chemical reactions that happened over billions of years and the scaffolding (outer cover) gets back to the atom state and the vasanas either gets it's fulfilment or find another body to find fulfilment! Who put these vasanas into this energy source?
Does that guessing satisfy our existential eagerness to live for ever as what I am today? No. What about my personal identity?

That is the loving, self-giving, pierced, bleeding, bosom of Christ Jesus in whom alone we can find true rest to our souls and nowhere else. Everything else is fleeting delusion triggered by human thoughts that do not satisfy us at all.
Yes God made us for Himself and embedded in us an indelible image and likeness of Himself which longs for deeper, eternal meaning without loss of our identity and destiny. No human philosophy can satisfy our spiritual thirst to live for ever. Solomon aptly made this confession in his writings: "God has also set eternity in the human heart." It is not that we initiated the thought of eternity to spring up in us rather God placed it in us as an insatiable thirst the fulfilment of which can only be in Him. Moreover, despite watching our social, cultural, and spiritual progress, other intelligent species such as dolphins, elephants, dogs, or chimps do not seem to bother or attempt to catch up with us or introspect to find answers for their existence!!
Can fleeting, temporary answers satisfy our deepest spiritual quest for eternity? No.
Imagine the human love shared between 2 individuals giving birth to a new life, a new person, that caused in us an inseparable bond with our parents and loved ones, and the love and forgiveness that resulted from such relationships, and the care we received and gave to our loved ones as individuals. All very precious values which you can't buy from the shop from internet!!!
Can all these precious ethical values be erased arbitrarily including our individual personality at the altar of some unproven philosophical thought of reincarnation due to unpaid karmic debts? Debts to be paid to whom? Who caused it? God or man? Evolution?
Who invented such ideas that we are nothing more than physics and chemistry triggered by energy?
Let us not allow ourselves to be blinded and numbed by such capricious, unproven, human ideas!
Now, why should we turn to Jesus Christ for answers?
Because he never said that we are chemical accidents in this infinite universe nor evolved from apes over millions of years! Instead, He spelt out the human story as that of the Prodigal Son eager to return to his Father's home because his present predicament calls for urgent review of his wayward life that resulted in the tragedy of being all alone in a foreign land, but eager to return home in repentance. He longed to be forgiven and reinstated!!
The universe has immense hidden possibilities for those who have faith to overcome gloom and darkness because we live and move in Him who made us!!
We are far more intelligent, worthy, and precious than insects, rats, cows, pigs, trees, and other living beings.
I have never seen cows herding together to reclaim their lost grassy territories because man has encroached and turned all their grazing grounds into concrete jungles, nor I found any monkies or chimps starting a union to improve their living conditions because we have encroached their forest lands.
That is because the animals do not possess a personality whereas we are made with a personality by an Infinite Personal Being called God who alone can satisfy our spiritual thirst. Jesus Christ is the revelation of that God.
In human history, Jesus is the only person who knew exactly when He would die, where He would die, how He would die, and why He would die. He also knew that He would come back to life after 3 days of His death. He lives today to prove that He lives.

I find it quite ironic that some people on the religious side have bigger attitudes that involve "righteousness", and making others feel small or inferior just because some people don't believe in the same thing they do. That's almost the same as when non-religious people continue to laugh at and mock Christians for their beliefs. None of us are going to see eye to eye on things if we continue to place our own selfish attitudes or desires at the forefront. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Ray missed a good opportunity to be more effective than he was.
Anthony was being cooperative & polite - smug, but polite.
Then, at 9 min. 35 sec., Anthony said, “You're saying that this entity exists, and His name is God. But there are plenty of other religions out there,” to which Ray answered giving the “A painting is proof there was a painter,” etc.
Ray’s answer is effective for dealing with the subject of the existence of God, but, obviously, Anthony’s objection had more to do with ‘Why Christianity & not some other religion?’ to which Ray’s answer was clearly entirely ineffective.
Instead, all Ray had to say was, “The Law of Non-Contradiction.”
The Law of Non-Contradiction is one of the most basic principles of logic, and says that 2 contradicting statements cannot both be true.
Anthony was obviously thinking that Christianity is just one of a multitude of belief systems, and was plainly reasoning that, therefore, all religions are equally valid. The Law of Non-Contradiction demonstrates that that cannot be possible.
However, Anthony was also overlooking the fact that he has a belief system of his own.
So, in other words, Anthony was saying that all belief systems are false - except his.
Remember only way to repent and be saved by Christ act 11:14-18, Luke 11:9-13 just follow only the original gospel tradition teaching not churches but Jesus will guide you personally to the end John 10:1-6, zeph 3:9!
Living Waters at 7:34 you were explaining repentance and you said that won't save you. You are right because that's not the "repentance that leads to salvation". You aren't defining the Greek word metanoia which is the word used when the bible explains "repentance leading to salvation" 2 Corinthians 7:10.
If you are going to tell them it won't save them why bother telling them it at all? You are just confusing them.
You are putting the cart before the horse. You need to lead the person to salvation before you teach them what to do once they are saved.
Forsaking their sin is done after they have been saved with the help of God.
You told the guy what you need to do is repent and trust in Christ. Then you define repentance as confessing and forsaking sin and then you say don't play the hypocrite let go of a bunch of your sins but that won't save you.
This shows you don't understand "repentance leading to salvation" 2 Corinthians 7:10. Please ask God to show you what it means.
