1942 d Mercury DIime, Doubled Dated

This video is about the 1942 d Mercury Dime. I will discuss 5 dimes with 4 of them all being 1942 d's. The lone one is a 42 s. There were over 60.7 million of them minted and over 49 million of the 42 s dimes made. The special thing about the 42 d dime is that it is double dated. There is also an overdate that is very valuable. I wish I had that one too. I was at a coin show recently and a vender showed me one. It looked about as good as mine and he wanted over a $1000.00 for it. I thought it was robbery what he was asking for it. Maybe $500.00 for it, but not a $$1000.00. That is my opinion of course. Anyway my double dated coin will keep me busy trying to find more info on it.

That 1942 double strike is one of the best examples I've seen. All those coins look to be MS quality... nice collection
