It gets better, man. I can't tell you how long it will take or how many hurdles you'll need to hop before it happens, but it does get better. In the meantime... there are worse coping mechanisms than LSV cube videos 😂

This deck looks like you were trying to draft a Lurrus deck. Every card in your deck fit under Lurrus's restriction! Lol
it’s like LSV says - Lurrus is good because it forces you to play good cards, lol
I really respect the way that in Round 1, [spoilers!] LSV comes within a couple priority passes of a quick 2-0 win, only to end up losing to a less experienced opponent with a basic mono-red deck... and then he just chuckles, shrugs, and cheerfully moves on to round 2. No complaining, no putting down his opponent, no excuses; he just moves on to the next match. MtG can be a frustrating game with a lot of variance, and CZcams is a place where salt often rains from the sky, but it's the sign of a real pro - and, frankly, of a real adult - to earnestly play to every out and search for every sliver of equity in a game, lose anyway, and just accept the reality of bad beats in time to enjoy the next one!
One of a multitude of reasons why watching Luis play magic for the last 20 something years has been a pleasure.
Who else thinks it would be fun to see them play an older version of the cube? Like 2015 or so?
Seeing that Mind Sculpter going around pack 9 or 10 still messes my head up. Was a routine ez first pick in that 2015 era, it would be fun to see that.

LSV is more excited about getting Fireblasted with the win on the stack than about winning a draft. Love to see it.
LSV always emphasizes how good free spells are. That first match was like a case study on why they're good.

25:30 basically came up with the solution that game with most chance to win (2 cards in hand opp chance on a burn spell for bowmasters vs 7 cards in hand oppo for burn spell after wheel)

Noob question: While drafting, I don't seem to be able to drag and drop the cards where I want like you do - they are all ordered by either CMC or Color or whatever default option MTGO has. If I drag drop them in the middle of the table, they just sticky back to the first columns.
You can still use the beta draftmancer server. I vastly prefer the team drafts to the Mtgo drafts.

Love the vids! I think the last game when you played toxic you had lethal with chain lighting on a 2/2 and the treasure cruise / bow master the rest and hit for lethal. or am I missing something?
treasure cruise doesn't target, it just draws cards.

Sweet deck, but halfling looks a bit dubious to me. Basically only taps for colourless in a 4c deck with tough mana requirements, and it's more so on the splash to boot. I would have probably played lazav instead, I think that card is amazing especially in the grixis removal pile
27:00 why can't you cast Phantom Interference off Noble to counter the Fireblast? What am I missing?
It costs 1U to cast using the Miscalculation mode.
Why is delighted halfling good in this deck?
You can block with creatures that weren't creatures when Scarlet's trigger resolves, right? Could avoid going to 2 by blocking with the Copter? I'm not 100%, but I think her ability only applies to creatures you have at the time. Again, not completely sure.
No, Scarlett targets a player
@@rissolepower But static effects like 'creatures target player controls get -1/-1 until end of turn' don't affect creatures they play later, so Scarlet also shouldn't.
@@JamiesonLock The ability is worded: "When Headliner Scarlett enters the battlefield, creatures target player controls can't block this turn.". I really don't think it can be any clearer than that.
@@sjake8308 Which is exactly the same wording as I mentioned (something like Sudden Spoiling) and that specifically doesn't affect creatures that enter the battlefield later in the turn.
We built the best Lurrus deck without Lurrus.

Jeez, pick 10 dismember. Gotta say it’s a lot less exciting to watch the MtGO drafts. The quality of opponents is just so much lower and I really prefer the cube club’s feeling of being on the rails watching the final rounds of a PT.

Love your videos, but pretty bored of cube drafts. I assume you do it because it generates the most views, but these decks are getting pretty boring. Would be cool if you played other formats.

I see LSV draft video, I watch LSV draft video. Irrespective of format. Though he does play other formats from time to time, especially when he’s prepping for a pro event, and while I enjoy those videos a little less I still like them because LSV drafts are the best drafts.

Gets views, and the cool part about it is that it’s repeatable content that is different each time, especially as cards get added and removed. Sorry you feel bored with it, but the numbers and frequency of it says that many don’t feel the same. I do recommend CFB for some more non-cube videos.
