The film Participants of the tour is our favorite film, which vividly describes the joys and sorrows of a holiday by the sea with a travel agency and bus transport. When we found out that the village of Sistiana on the northern coast of Italy was the filming location, we couldn't miss this place on our travels. We wanted to see the holiday resort from the movie Tour Participants with our own eyes. And we didn't think too much about the fact that we might not be able to find accommodation in Mestre, which was still 120 kilometers away.

HOW DID WE TRAVEL?
From Trieste, Italy, we took a bus along the Adriatic coast to the village of Sistiana. Then we walked about 4 kilometers above the rocky cliffs above the sea to the village of Duino, where there is a castle of the same name. Then by bus to Monfalcone, from where you can already watch us in the film. To Mestre by train and to the accommodation about 3 kilometers on foot.
WHAT WE LIKED
We are excited about the free entry to the filming location of the film Tour Participants, where we could stay and film freely. We've been looking for locations where specific scenes could be filmed and we think we've successfully found some.
The drive over the cliffs from Sistiano to Duino is breathtaking. We just didn't have enough time on it to include it in the film. Duino Castle was under reconstruction and apparently because it was Monday, it was closed. But we wouldn't have time to visit it anyway.
