- Hello beautiful friends it’s been over a week since I posted but here we are with another thrift video. I’ve been focusing on fitness and am still learning how to balance all of it. As I was running errands I decided to google thrift store near me instead of opting to go to another Goodwill. This thrift store was gigantic. I was in there for hours. Besides the clothes and shoes I went down every aisle. So many fun beautiful things. We are trying hard to be mindful and bring home only what is necessary. I hope you enjoy this thrift video as much as I did shopping there. I worked up an appetite after all that shopping but instead of stopping by a fast food for lunch we head home to make a delicious chicken salad. Cooking in bulk instead of meal prepping is what helps me stay on track with my nutrition and fitness goals this new year. After lunch I show you my thrift haul.

Trees have the natural ability to fight off bacteria, wood does not lose that ability once cut into boards. Clean really well and use. I trust wood boards over plastic.
Mme too, have collected for 50+ years and use them everyday, never a problem

I love baskets..I have some ,got rid of alot when we downsized. I use them for decor.A couple I put stuff in. That metal basket would have looked good with fruit.😊. Alot of nice things there..some pretty pricy.That set your kids will love that set. Basket walls are cool. Have a great weekend& keep thrifting.🤗💝💒

I would use the cutting boards for food but i have cleaned and used as a stacker or propped up

I clean boards with lemon and salt I use them for everything from risers to snacks. I actually use large platters to cut things on I own a lot of them. That way it can go into the dishwasher
Those are great ideas. I usually clean them with baking soda. I also love using boards to serve my kids sacks. my husband made me a marble cutting board about 15 years ago and I still use it and love it so so much.

Look at that basket!!! I am looking for a big bunny figurine and a bathroom medicine cabinet. I found 4 sets of white bed sheets that are still in the package. I paid 5.00 each, and they are 100% cotton.The beauty of thrifting.

Love the items you bought. I love thrifting and all my clothes, most of dishes etc. and a lot of my furniture is either from a thrift store or a liquidation store. Great ya to save money, have unique decor and save the environment. I am proud of myself because I quit sugar right after Christmas so no unnatural sugars plus I’m vegetarian . This is all helping to lose some weight, lower my blood pressure and cholesterol naturally and I’m sleeping all night which I had a lot of difficulty with before stopping sugar. Yay

Deseret industries is very common in Utah. We call it DI its ran by the Mormon church. I'm shocked at the high prices. Here in Utah they usually have the best prices compared to goodwill and savers.
Ya some of the prices were definitely higher than I expected. My sister just accepted a job in Utah and I’m so sad to see her move this spring. It’s so beautiful out there! The mountains are everything 🤎🤎

A basket lover for sure! I use them throughout my home and in my primitive gardens. I love the neutral brown tone colors too🤎. I’ve collected old cutting boards for 50+ years and use them everyday, never a problem and love the old worn ones the best. Awesome coffee grinder! Fun trip, thanks for taking us along, really enjoy seeing what’s available in other areas as I’m in upstate New York and have noticed our prices are much lower than the west coast. Love the book ends!

When I am in the pictures frames, I take every single frame. I look mostly for the wood frames or the ones that look that they are made of woof. I take the picture out and insert 2 pictures that I can rotate. Sometimes, the frame needs some paint, and I will do that. Always have frames on reservation in my storage. Do not let the frames pass you by. The same thing with the cannong jars without lids. I get them all and then get some lids at Walmart. The jars cost more than the lids.
Yes I agree picture frames are a must.

A little about wooden cutting boards. I only use plastic for raw meat and dairy. Veggies are ok on wood IMO but also good for charcuterie and rinse

I love to collect beautiful wood cutting boards, for decor only. A lot of people use them for decor and as a cutting board. I have a glass board for that purpose, i don't want to cut things on anything pourous, don't seem clean to me, therefore i like glass to cut on 🤷♀️ I have a really old coffee grinder, its on top of my cabinets.(for now.. we're moving within the next 2wks) Love the book ends❤ Thanks for taking us along!
Oh forgot to mention.. for almost 2yrs now i basically drink only water! I'll have coffee in the morning, a half glass of tea only if we go out to eat.. other than that, strictly water!😊 i used to be horribly addicted to sweet tea for years🫣

I have resolved to taking care of me. To discovering who I am and what I like or don't like. That means trying new things. I had a milestone birthday this month so I gifted myself a bucket list gift and I went skydiving! I'm proud because I did it and I was not afraid. Infact I had a blast!

I am guilty of buying things just because I think it’s a good deal. I have been on a decluttering kick this week and took two carloads of stuff back to the thrift store. My little 2 bedroom apartment was getting a little too cluttered.
Finding a balance between how much is brought into the home versus how much goes out is a real challenge. I’m due for a good declutter.
Beating bookends. It's hard to find the 2 pieces together.
