I was growing up in the communist republic of Poland, where stores were pretty much empty - all goods were hardly available and/or too expensive for an average citizen. This experience taught me to value all kinds of artisan works that help to repair stuff rather than throw it away and buy new ones. Now the times have changed and acquiring new items is easier than ever, yet the habit of preserving what I've already got - it was planted deep in my mentality.
Even though I'm not manually skilled (as we say in Polish: "my both hands are left"), thanks to your videos I learned a few useful techniques that prolong "life" of my clothes. I'm still no master with the needle, but sewing doesn't seem now to be a kind of magical ability. ;)
