- This was the first race at the newly renovated and renamed Kuhnle Motorsports Park and the track looks great! I can't wait to see where the track goes from here!

Always been a big gasser fan since I was a kid (I'm 64), particularly, of course, Willys gassers. I love them all, and the gold coupe and red pickup are especially gorgeous, but unusual to see Willys sedans as gassers. Was great seeing the blue '33 and the green '37/40. Also that spectacular red Anglia....
I'm a little older than you, but never knew their times or MPH. How do you think they would compare to todays Street Outlaw or NPK cars? My first memories were early 60's.

Very cool , I do the same thing up here in Ontario Canada at Canada's first purpose built dragway, st thomas dragway, Sparta Ontario
i cut my racing teeth at Thompson--i was taught by Carl "Pappy" Peck ( RIP)and Al Goodman in 1990 with a rear engine dragster. Good luck to the Kuhnles for resurrecting a piece of history.

This track's in Thompson Ohio, although I wouldn't doubt they do a similar event in New York

Someone who sets their wheelie bars at the line is a D-bag in my opinion, your car doesn't change round to round, if you tighten the jam nuts the wheelie bar can be left alone. There's enough waiting around as it is without some yokel thinking he's in a top fueler, double bulb anyone that does that crap.
u bet buddy--i raced a dragster there 32 yrs ago-and its goddamn hot in that one-piece racing suit an helmet! and i was a young gal back then--i wouldnt have the patience for this BS at my age now!
