Masahiro Tanaka was able to pitch with the same injury as Bradish and was great for like 6 years afterward and that was in 2014 I'm sure the science behind this route is better now
And how many were unable to pitch with the injury, until they recovered from the injury?
Hoping with all hope that both Bradish and Means get back and are solid and stay healthy. Make the adjustments to the bullpen and keep on winning. When the O's approach mid season see what you can get to set things up for a deep playoff run. Perez back and healthy is great.
Do we cut bait on Mike Baumann at some point?

Totally agree with splitting the pitching time of Means and Bradish. I've often wondered why teams don't use this approach.

Grayson had to come from behind one too many times for me! He was extremely fortunate!
Need one more win in this series, anything more is gravy. O's were fortunate to win this game. GRod's fastball command wasn't good again but at least he had his off-speed pitches working.

Was doing some quick math....if every starter went 6 ip every game of the year roughly 😊 thats roughly 400 ip for a bp (realisticly 440 is a fair guess) take 8 bp arms thats 55 ip per arm......i dont think that is realisistic for 8 bp arms to log that many innings....so a bp is always goimg to require some fresh arms to stay competive.....i hope thats what wells and perez add to our BP
Also take into account count the low leverage bullpen arms that prolly won’t get used that much

O's should trade for another quality Starter and push irvin back in bp where he is confident, successful, and limit the self destruction!

Id put Kimbrel on DL.. Too many early innings built up. Send Irvin baack to bp, Suarez to bp, and Bouman back to minors.
The Orioles had four hits against an average pitcher. Not encouraging. Anthony Santander who is hitting 220-something looks like he's lost at the plate. He has no idea where the strike zone is. He apparently thinks its a little above his shoulders and somewhere near his body. The TV anchors say he can't hit a fastball. What? He should be sitting.

I’d love to see a
Bradish/Means piggyback every 5th day with them switching back and forth depending on the matchup between the theoretical 5 Inning Starter and the 4 Inning Finisher.
Obviously, the point of this is having a guy with a UCL tear, and another guy who has never stayed healthy a little less workload platform to maximize their performance, sustain their health and a combo Ace dynamic duo every fifth day that also rest the bullpen !
That's not happening. If something like that were going to take place it would be Irving/ Suarez. Bradish is never coming out of the BP unless it's the playoffs.
