- So this video i put up as an unlisted video a few months ago so I had footage of the topic this video relates to. Recently it's been shared around the Bug fables Discord a bit for discussing the topic so i am un-un-unlisting the video so it's easier to find. Anyways enjoy the dark implications and stuff :D #BugFables
- Hry
The chill Bee Kingdom music somehow just makes it even more unsettling.
I like to think that's just the dead lander's ost as he's strolling around
funfact: The devs have stated that the other dead landers actively fear Omega and are not allied with it.
So essentially, they piss them selves whenever they see it
the fact that this thing openly leaves the liar genuinely bothers me.
It's a good thing it can't get into Bugaria, at least. Then our Buggos would be dead :(
@@supermairo88 THATS JUST WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO THINK!! lol, yea, but it definitely does seem like that big one doesn't like the sun or something, on account of it actively choosing to leave bugaria alone.
@@biggarlick6673 I think, from what I heard, the canonical reasoning is that the crystals prevent it from attacking Bugaria.
@@supermairo88 I feel like I've seen it in a cutscene in the wild swamplands.
@@greattitan371 I think that was The Beast bc that seems to make more sense logically
Before today, I thought that Dead Lander Omega was a cat-sized skeletal cyclops monster that just moved around as you traversed the Dead Lands. I now know that none of the eyes or hands we see are the same one, but they do all belong to the same nearly human-sized monster and its able to leave the Giant's Lair if it so chooses.
I'm happy I would never have lived as a human to encounter that... Thing.
@@nerdsmyspiritanimal2676 some in the community say that deadlander omega is a human. In fact, some think it's a child, even.
@@randomuser1065 It's apparently bigger than we would have thought
@@randomuser1065 what if that’s the reason the parents had to leave? Something happened to the child turning them into Omega and the parents had to leave if they weren’t…
@@austinmorrison6953 oh dont worry all humans already died probaly due to nuclear fallout... wich probaly lead to the deadlanders and how the bugs gained sentience
If I saw this before Chapter 5, I would have thought this was the beast
The fact the final area is dreadful it makes sense that the house is boarded up
That telescope sure does like being the place to have your mind blown about this game from the fact it’s in somebodies backyard to this also am I the only one that’s disturb on why the house is boarded up on the outside like they were trying to keep omega in there for some reason and failed
It’s actually boarded up on both sides, as seen in the room with the everlasting sapling. Really makes you wonder if they were trying to keep it in or out. Either way, it clearly found a way through
Wow I 100%ed the game twice and never saw this
Hype for a sequel one day
The devs have said there are plans for a sequel but it would not be for quite a while. They want to do other games first
@@supermairo88
It’s weird for me to say this, but I’m glad they feel that way.
I usually feel detached to the games I played, but this one left such an impact on me that’s left me fascinated with the world. Everyone always mentions the obvious Paper Mario similarities, but the overall feeling I experienced was similar to Okami, where it felt like an epic journey; traveling across the world that offers all sorts of different adventures to those that explore beyond what the journey alone has to offer.
Anyway, I think this had a LOT of genuine thought and creativity put into it. Any project will lack substance if the ideas aren’t there in the first place. When I was in a creative writing class in college, it put me in the shoes of people like these developers. I realize that with the short stories I’d write, I never had the heart to write any sort of continuation of them. If I forced myself to write a part 2, it might have some good parts, but it would be half assed, I’d be miserable, and it’d probably only leave the audience feeling less passionate about the series.
Studios like Pixar stuck with Toy Story for a while though, and off the top of my head, I think they made Bug’s Life after the first TS before making Toy Story 2. Maybe they just need to work on something else to refresh their minds with a change of pace. I’m sure that they’ll be subconsciously brewing new ideas in the back of their minds even though they’re not actively working on a follow up...
@@supermairo88 hell yeah
That still means a bug fables sequel
That would be awesome if they decide to make a sequel
It took me eight rewatches to actually notice that. Holy crap that's subtle.
Surely omega has better things to do than pace forever.
Dead lander omega is a mutated human left over from when the world was nuked, humans discovered how to harness energy from Crystals while also releasing a virus, they couldn't contain it so the giants nuked themselves resulting in dead lander omega. Bugs evolved & rebuilt the world.
That would explain the whole “Day of Awakening” stuff
They call it “the day of awakening/reckoning” when in reality, it was a result of nuclear genetic mutation
Pretty sure its hinted that humans went extinct due to a meteor shower, or rain of fire, whatever its called in game. So that makes it more confusing.
If humans went extinct, did the remains of they stay? If so then that could explain the omega, if not then well, leave it to a sequel ig.
Oh, those wacky devs, putting spooky creepypasta styled stuff into the game!
...that's really creepy though..
these things legit terrified when i first saw them. i’m still scared of omega, whatever *it* is
Tought grass is very tall to be the size of a oak tree
It's a mutated human.
Zombie
Oh, I was wondering about this and looking it up to see for myself- fear. Good thing it can't seem to get into Bugaria.
That thing is human sized!
@@nerdsmyspiritanimal2676 according to the devs it's the size of a adult human. Real comforting, huh?
THEORY TIME. The other deadlanders nativly used to live outside bugeria but omega took them to the lair so he could make them fight each other for his own entertainment
BIG BRAIN THEORY TIME. Bug Fables takes place on Jeffery Epstein’s island and Omega is all that remains of Epstein after his corpse was reanimated by the nuclear fallout after atomic bombs were dropped on every corner of the Earth by our corrupt government politicians working for the deep state and the Illuminati (AKA: the United Nations).
EPSTEIN’S ABUSE CONTINUES TO VICTIMIZE DEADLANDERS AND BUGERIAN IMMIGRANTS IN THE DEADLANDS BY THE DAY AND MUST BE STOPPED ONCE AND FOR ALL

@@UndertakerU2ber are you on drugs?
@@flainfan He's either a Qanon nutjob (who are somehow ignorant to the fact that Trump was besties with Epstein, had a gross history of pedophilic and incestuous commentary and a now 30-something year old woman accused them both) trying to make his "deep state" conspiracy more palatable to the public or parodising those.
omega be like: FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
*deadlander y proceeds to get torn to shreds by gamma*
I'm still wondering what Dead Lander Omega even is. Is it some sort of ghost or something and possibly what's left of what the humans have become?
At first I thought it had to be a cat, but that explanation alone doesn't answer everything, like why does it drop Dead Lander Gammas on you when it sees you, and why do it's eyes blink sideways? It's so mysterious.
@@DementedDuskull or the fact it has so many eyes
@@adrianrandom3448

@@DementedDuskull it is, all the eyes in the lair belong to that creature
@@adrianrandom3448
How do you know?
What if the sequel leads up to a possible confrontation with Dead Lander Omega, who may have grown bored of sticking to the Deadlands... Either as a climactic encounter or a superboss.
I don’t think they *can* enter bugaria because of the mother crystal under the forsaken lands
@@somerandomgamer9065
Who said anything about going to Bugaria? The North and Eastern lands are away from the mother crystal. Second game could take place in one of those regions.
@@aceflare2431 well, the sentience of the bugs comes *from* the mother crystal, so if those regions didn’t have one, kabbu, and tanjerine, wouldn’t exist
@@somerandomgamer9065 Not saying that the mother crystal isn't important, but the initial awakening allowed the bugs to spread out and find their own paths. Hell, they could've been sentient for long enough that they don't need the crystal to stay that way anymore. I mean, it's implied that the triggering of the mother crystal, accidental or otherwise, is what 'woke up' the intelligent bug people. In my headcanon, this was a surge of strange energy that did the deed, and as generations passed, the bugs may maintain their minds on their own. We won't really know until future titles, no? Edit: Now that I look, you could be right about other M. Crystals awakening more regions. A possibility for the sequel, is that a group from another area is trying to destroy the M. Crystal of a rival 'country'.
@@aceflare2431 i wasn’t just saying it related to the sapience of the bugs, its also what keeps the Dead Landers out of Bugaria
OH COOL THANKS FOR THE NIGHTMARE FUEL
Bee Kingdom Music: *Cheerful happy tune*
Deadlander Omega:
How powerful is the mother crystal to the fact that it’s power spreads only to bugaria? It can’t have that much power but how does it just piece through the forsaken lands?
Anyways that thing is creepy and looks like it would be a deformed human
Well, it’s said that the mother crystal is actually beneath the Forsaken Lands but because of the issues with the termites and ants, they were never able to dig to it
Given that one baseball-sized crystal has enough power to keep an entire refrigerator running just by having the plug nearby, it’s safe to assume the mother crystal is very powerful
That makes me wonder those dead Lander Omega have any pets? Like the shadow was way to low for it beginning omega.
I also wonder why it never tried to interrupt the wasp king.
Can Omega have a fear of touching bugs (except the dead landers). Maybe that’s why we never battle it in person. Maybe it’s afraid of roaches (like a lot of people) and try to kill them of using the dead landers.
It has. It stated in the bestiary that hoaxe/the wasp king spent his life fighting deadlanders
@@hussyhash I’m referring to the gigant that drops the dead landers.
omg... I never realized that... that's a cool easter egg, nice job finding out

Which lab??
@@maangojava THE lab, the one that is very cold
@@TheAwesomeGN oh ok, thank you, I'll check it out.
Sanke mouth bee or termite?
@@Lush_Produce the really cold one
I still want to know what happened to the humans, perhaps itll be explored in the sequel
i like to think that humanity didn't actually nuke themselves or something and is actually still alive and kicking outside of the forest
and that the day of fire was just this one isolated cabin catching fire for either magic reasons or that broken flame spewing stove and this seeming like a cataclysmic event to the bugs finding out about it due to them being tiny so a small housefire is a colossal inferno
@@RylixBlizzai that makes more sense, and way less cliche
@@mendeta07 yeah, that is what i was thinking.
And so it seems humans are dead around the time of Bug Fables.
But how are the furnirure house still standing so it might be like 500 years in future or less
@@Lush_Produce Perhaps luck or a coincidence.
@@Loner098 gas stove still works wood would deteriorate but hows there holes in house books arent wet and pages are still there
@@Lush_Produce Perhaps the humans that originally owned the hut somehow forgot to turn off the stove or was it the Wasp King who used his fire magic to turn on the stove.
@@Loner098 wasp king turned it on that’s why there was no fire earlier
Real ones remember when this was called "Beware the outside deadlanders!"
Bazinga
Am i the only one who thinks the north and east are there for potential sequels?
The devs have stated they'd like to explore other regions in future media
that doesnt really look like deadlander omega, it might be something else. what i want to know is what is that giant devourer in the bottom left of the view?!? whats up with that guy?!!
@PerefL no, it's a purple fly trap thing near the wasp castle, I think its supposed to be the wizards tower but it looks nothing like that so o dont know
The beast is to small so maybe a dog cat but no to tall so maybe bear or human sized native animal.

Oh yeah that’s fun
Screw. That.
Why does the title say "dead inside landers" when they're just called dead landers?
If you spy any of the enemies in the Giant's Lair they're all called "Dead Lander" followed by a greek numeral. In an interview with a dev, the huge creature with the monitoring eye was said to be called "Dead Lander Ω"
Thanks but I don't think you read my comment fully. Like you said, they're called Dead Landers. So I don't know where the word "inside" came from in the title. They aren't called "Dead Inside Landers"
@@1colonelsanders Maybe it's a play on words to combine "Dead Lander" and "Dead Inside" because the sight of it roaming makes them feel dead inside.

Nvm
Oh it’s 100% a cat
Oh noooooo. It's not. It's really not. I don't want to spoil too much, just in case, but there is a point in the game where you might get a glimpse of some of it.
SuperMairo ! I read the lore books, I’ve been to the Dead Lands. It’s definitely how the bugs see cats. It’s large enough that it’s completely incomprehensible to them. The other Dead Landers are a whole other conversation.
A big issue with that theory is it seems too intelligent to be a cat. Instead of just attacking our heroes when it sees them like any cat would, it drops monsters onto them just to watch them squirm. Although considering the once ordinary bugs gained sapience at some point, I guess it's possible a cat could undergo the same changes.
@@ninjamaster9094 Well, I mean all speculation is welcome to the table do to the facts that we are seeing the game through the bugs eyes, according to the game bugs gained sentients hundreds of years after the "giants" died, We are only limited to the bugs knowledge and single plot of land so we don't know if their are still "giants", and with that amount of time passing some animals may evolve or some entirely knew ones could branch off. We are given very little information.
Magma Could just be how the bugs perceive it
