- More than 10,000 people worldwide claim they're the victims of a vast organized surveillance effort designed to ruin their lives, a phenomenon known as "gang stalking." Mental health experts see gang stalking as a symptom of paranoia, but the self-identified victims who insist what they're experiencing is real have come together online and in support groups to share their stories.
VICE met up with a handful of Americans who claim their lives have been derailed by gang stalking to understand what serious consequences the phenomenon presents. Then we hear from Dr. Josh Bazell, one of many physicians who believes the victims of gang stalking are experiencing dangerous delusions that could be treated by mental health professionals.

Oh man you'd trigger the whole group lol. I shouldn't be laughing about this though. I literally just had my friend of 17 years tell me hours ago that this is happening to him. And he believes the freemasons are up to it. Never thought I'd hear something like this. Don't even know how to help him.
It probably wouldn't work. My mother was delusional and when some people were in reality angry at her or something, she would never believe they're one of 'them'.

Also it already hurt every aspect of his life. He quit his job. He never leaves the house. Also a year ago, me and him had plans to move together and start a certain venture in a new city but out of the blue he just lost his mind and stopped talking to me so we never did it. It fucked me up bad because I unwisely left my job of 7 years to do this with him. I'm still pissed that he fucked me up but it all makes sense now that he told me about this gang stalking nonsense. Back then I just thought it was severe depression.

It's tragic. This really triggered my son's madness. The sprinklers across the street were cameras. Some random woman face timing on the street was filming him. Even the neighbors' large black dog and 3 year old were in on it.
I experienced DPDR and this feeling of delusion after being drugged with DMT in college. Such a scary experience. I thankfully had a lot of insight due to being in therapy for a decade for other issues, so I knew I was crazy even though I couldn’t get out of it.

@@oceancowboy6981I never woulda bought a dashcam but after 3 attempts at head on collisions, I bought a dashcam to prove it. Well they didn’t attempt the obvious head on collisions anymore but I been able to catch obvious harassment, sketchy behavior and shady situations on my dashcam. My channel is mostly examples of the targeting I deal with.

I ADVICE :go away for a while from the place you're living, go to a country /place where there is not much people or electronics. If you still feel being stalked, go to a doctor and tell what you are experiencing. It helped me.

@@red_diamonds1590 I went camping in a isolated area without phone or other electronics, back to the basic. Back home I talked to my psychiater and I took medication for a while. It helped it's what it matters.

I have a friend who has succumb to this collective craziness and its so sad. He was one of the kindest gentlest people I've ever known, I literally have seen him give his shirt, hoodie, and shoes to a homeless guy and spend the rest of the day barefoot in jeans happy as can be. Now he is full of anger rage and fear, he lives in a tent under an overpass and just stares at everyone passing him by with hate.
This is not funny, its insanely depressing and life-destroying for those it affects.
FYI : this is a program run by most intelligence agency and army called : counterintelligence and counterinsurgency .....keeping those agents sharp to the tactics of the program.. ..training those agents for field applications on real target .....

My sister suffers from these delusions. It has taken on unbelievable toll on myself, my entire family, and most of all her. She is completely unable to be reasoned with or helped. She lives in constant fear and anger. My unprofessional opinion is that it is schizophrenia. It is a terribly tragic illness.

@@210Boots Since high school onward she's always been odd. I can't pin it to a particular event. But it started really getting obvious in her thirties. And, lately (she is 42) it is out of control. She smokes marijuana heavily. From what I have read, studies indicate smoking pot makes symptoms of psychotic mental illness worse. I've smoked pot and I'm not necessarily against it. But, in the case of people with mental illness or people at risk for it I am suspicious it is contributing factor. It's possible she is using other drugs without my knowledge. This was kind of surreal viewing, like, I don't believe these people are being 'targetted' (anymore than the rest of us are by governments/corps who want your data/cash), but you can see how if something flicked in your brain, it'd easily spiral into something terrible. It's really bad. The amount of damage it can do to someone's mental health can make them so paranoid they get aggressive with anyone who so much as matches their description of their stalkers. I knew a person who saw "ninja people" and it turns out that he was under servailence by the police because he had a travel pattern that linked up other suspects through the places he frequented. I worked for his attorney and we got a call from the police confirming this. Sometimes "innocent' people get followed.

1 time the doctors nurses at the hospital would start dancing and doing weird movements when I'd look away but could still see from the side of my eye and they would stop and go back to doing work instantly like they weren't just dancing so weird. If these people are in fact mentally ill (and I believe they are), I'm not sure that leaving the city for somewhere less populated would do them any good. Imagine if they left to live in a cabin in the woods, under the assumption they will be isolated from human contact. Then one day, some innocent hunter or hiker goes strolling along their property in the distance, unaware that this delusional person is even watching them. These poor people would be absolutely convinced it is someone from the government, tracking their every step. Same thing with any sort of aircraft that commonly goes over land (tracking potential fire hazards/drug operations).

My mom felt she was gang stalker. She is now 80, but I realized she thought this way in high school. I graduated in 1988 so this is nothing new. I guess people are talking about it. It drove her straight crazy but never diagnosed. Now she has been battling Dementia Alzheimer's.

For me, the two things that brought me out of it were 1.) I took a class on critical analysis. That taught me how to test any information I was reading for validity and intention. And
2.) I started learning about psychology. Specifically how we humans have biases that make it difficult to see the truth sometimes. We are programmed to desire knowledge others don’t have. To think we are special. That’s why 80% of people think they’re in the top 50% of any skill/value..
But what I can say is, at least the people in this video, are suffering textbook symptoms of delusion.
-Thinking the messages from “them” correspond with saying or thinking the wrong thing.
-Talking about shape shifting reptilians
-Does it pass the “Am I really that special” test? (In other words, is Joe Schmoe really worth the government spending several thousands of dollars a week just to annoy? What is Joe never even noticed their presence?) It’s a delusion because the world simply doesn’t revolve around people in this way. But we sometimes wish it did.

I feel like a large challenge for people living with such experiences and beliefs is that they interpret their beliefs as knowledge and fact whilst being closed to alternate possibilities, including the possibility that the way they process the world may be based on false beliefs.
I feel like their ego is getting in the way of them challenging their own beliefs. In saying that, how people live, think and choose to believe in is their own choice to an extent (some of which is subconsious and harder to choose per say). Just consider the impact that your choice has on your wellbeing, as it seems that such beliefs are having a detrimental impact to many people thinking this way.
I think the part that scared me is when he said you realize how crazy you sound... I've had this thing where I had a cop as a neighbour for 5 years and our relation sucked, my parents calling the cops on me for having weed never helped. But trying to explain to a lawyer how you feel police are harassing and bullying you, only to realize you sound like someone explaining a bad trip which makes you feel dead.
