Been drinking for 7 years started off just drinking a few beers a day then eventually it turned into over a pint of whiskey and several beers a day with frequent panic attacks, constant anxiety, constant heart palpitations, lack of sleep, high blood pressure, stomach issues ect. After 5 weeks without drinking I've dropped 13lbs, blood pressure went from 150/100 to 130/88, dramatic decrease in anxiety and NO heart palpitations!
I've been drinking heavy for almost 12 years now and have the exact same problems PVCS, high blood pressure, anxiety and lack of sleep I need to get sober and I know that it will help. Thanks for your share.
No alcohol is good. The reason one drink helps is because it helps people socialize and relax. So the stress relief is more of a positive than the negative of one drink. But one drink is still bad for you
i dont think anybody should even advertise that 'one ounce of alcohol per day' we are the people - if we like something we tend to use that more and more. we cross the line so easily, specially with stuff that can make us addictive
I want to coin it "old guy syndrome." We can't eat so much anymore and can't really chug cheap booze the same not because of age, per se. I think we caused ourselves progressive liver damage drinking 40s and living off pizza. Funny sounding in the right context, but sad when your joy is the very thing that kills your joy.
I never used alcohol until i was 60. became homeless and so many other problems I was an olymbic weightlifter since 72. now i am nothing. Just waiting for the end.
I'm married to a 50 year old lifetime alcoholic. He has very low self esteem. He uses beer and pot and cigarettes to socialize. He's extremely socially anxious. We have known each other three and a half years, been married for two and a half of those years. He's bingeing again this fall.. He's got a young friend he loves like a son. Since this young man moved to this same neighborhood two months ago, my husband's drinking and smoking has increased again dramatically. He's on disability and doesn't get extra work on the side very often. That extra job is physically demanding and mentally stressful to him... Most of his money goes toward his habits. His belly gets bigger every week. He's only 5'8" tall ... His body hurts him every day. Feet. Calves. Legs. Hips. He doesn't have much energy to move about. Won't even go outside much. It feels like a slow suicide..... Mental health care here is a joke. There are not many outlets around for men on fixed incomes. There are a great number of men in my county on disability. I'd say 95 percent of the adult women in the county are employed for 50 plus hours a week. I'm NOT employed ..... I'm 53.... My husband's lab tests never come back bad, so he just continues.... His O2 levels, however, keep hovering between 88 and 92. A couple months back, his O2 went down to 82 at a doctor's visit. He got sent to the hospital for cellulitis in his feet and ankles that day. His O2 went back up over three hours. A month later he had a colonoscopy and his O2 was 88. They got it up before he was released. My question is how long can this go on before he has more serious health problems? He's literally killing himself to be able to cope and socialize.
I just drink when there's only occasion with friends, specially when there's a lot of strangers in our circle. If they make me drink more, I would tell people that I shouldn't even been drinking cause I have health problems (which is true.) But because we are having fun, I consider drinking. I don't drink when I am alone or with a small circle/close friends though, cause they know it.

@@Gin81593 more fruits and vegetables. Especially cooked leafy greans.
My blood pressure was 114/72 the other day at the doctor's. The lowest I've ever seen it!

“Doesn’t mean 6 is gooder” Hell yeah brother.
If you’re in it for the heart benefits, one glass of pomegranate juice is better than 4 glasses of red wine.
Who is going to just tease themselves with this pathetic little amount? It either turns into too much or easier not to drink at all.
In the majority of cases; probably in most. A thimble a day - Jz 😂
Watching this cause my alcohol withdraw has been making my heart pound for 3 days straight 🙃
Spose withdrawal slowly
You're insanely attractive. Also are you feeling any better since you posted that?
Damn how fast? Electrolytes help a ton and bananas for potassium

So, I can't even have just one drink if I am in a social situation?
@Tristan yes. Its just not good for you. Just like one cup of any poison is still poison
@@tristan_840 Alcohol is poison. Is having one cup of bleach good to socialize????
@tristan_840 In moderation. Not everyday.
I can understand wanting to drink if you live in Arkansas …..

It's just so hard when you want to keep being friends with people, you have to drink even just a little bit.
"Drinking Rum before 10a.m. doesnt make you an alcoholic. It makes you a Pirate....'
Love it
I ALSO WATCH MOVIES BEFORE 10AM... THEY ARE ALL RATED ARRRRRR!!!!!
Are you saying I'm a pirate? 🤔
@@thehermitkingdomyes, I am.
I am a beer drinker.I don't drink strong alcohol.Does that still put my heart and liver at risk??
This man say "gooder?"

I have been drinking a fifth of vodka every day for 7 years. scared to stop because my friends went to rehab, and all of them died after 60 days.
You've gotta stop that. Try meetings, try medical detox, try exercising, try everything and keep trying till you stop that. You have to.
Why?
you have to go to hospital detox first.
Power it to want

My fiance sometimes drinks an 18 pack of beer a day 💔😞😫
Get out of that relationship now or regret it later. Nobody wants regrets.
That’s a slow suicide , not a matter of if the body will quit early it’s when

enjoying several pints of beers a few days a week is great for you and friends. Have a laugh in life at no cost, get giddy for fun and enjoy!!
