You're right, it's a labor of love. I replaced all of the seals and did one per weekend. Clean, and dry fit and then glue cause that stuff doesn't give you a second chance. I also had to repaint the windshield moldings when I had the glass replaced. It is aluminum and best to use self etching primer before the paint cause it doesn't cover or stick very well. Satin finish if you can find it. Duplicolor makes it all. Would have been a good time to do that since you had the seal off. The sound of the door shutting with the new rubber makes you proud though and compensates for all that PITA. Still 5 feet of snow on my lawn... still some ways to go before I get to fiddle on the toy. Good to see you back, motivates me to get stuff done. Take it easy.
In the process of new weatherstrip for the A pillar. Pulled all the retainers and glass molding. Super pita removing all the old glue and foam. Having all pieces powder coated now. Reassembly next week.
The 88 C4 I just bought has new strips but its still getting rain water from the visor area od thr driver side and both side corner od door where the dash connect with the door .... Any help will be appreciate
It's hit or miss with after market seals. Gently try to pull it out and see if the black sealant was used. The rear weather strip on mine is so think the windows won't roll up.

Thank you
Is that a shoe repair adhesive where you apply on both materials, wait like 10min then press them together?
Great video! Where did you get the stripping from?
Rock auto I think
