In the UK a little known law in the Metropolitan Police Act 1839, makes it a criminal offence to "wilfully and wantonly disturb any inhabitant, by pulling or ringing any door bell, or knocking at any door" - and can face up to 14 days jail.

Mine are still in place. I just ring the doorbell while kneeling down to look like a kid through the peephole. When the door is unlocked I just bust through and steal all of the candy. Works every time. I got hundreds of lbs last year alone

Trespassing in the uk is completely legal as long as you leave once you’re told to and you don’t break anything.
Even the “you will be prosecuted if you pass this point” signs mean nothing.
It’s only illegal if you don’t leave after being asked or if it’s highly specialised under law like a train line or an army base, otherwise you’re good to enter.
And breaking something turns it from trespassing to breaking and entering
