- Boxed cake mix does NOT have to be boring. This boxed cake mix was a little bit more expensive than your average boxed cake mix, but the flavour was so delicious! In today's video I show you how to amp it up with fondant details and the recommended (as per the box's instructions) American buttercream.

Hi, I'm from South Africa. I use vannila cake mix and I boil my milk with rooibos tea( a South African tea) to make a rooibos flavored cake. The cake pairs nicely with a lemon buttercream.

Yes it's a white birch that your creating. I live in Arkansas and we have birch trees all over here. Their leaves are a very pretty silver on the underside and a light green on the top. And those are the silver birch trees.

I only work with American buttercream because it's just easier for me. It's a part of my contract. It took me a year to memorize my perfect ABC and I just don't have it in me to learn about entirely new method when what I do is good and great and most of my clients don't have a real preference anyway. And, added bonus, it smoothes out so well and crusts so beautifully and quickly, which I you mention in the beginning ❤️
My friend is an American Buttercream lifer too!! It has its merits for sure, but I just love Italian meringue buttercream. Nice to see you, Hannah 🥰

I don’t have a set recipe for it; basically 450 grams of butter and a few cups of icing sugar and milk. All of the measurements are kind of according to how I like the texture that day! 💕

Actually, not that much longer to be honest! Maybe an extra 10 minutes or so. That is-if you have the right recipe to begin with 🥰

Fat Daddio! They’re my fave. I also use some Wilton, but they bend more easily I find.

The pricing is in Canadian dollars; not sure how much difference that makes though! I would say it’s pretty standard here to have a cake with not much decoration start at $300.00 for a 3 tiered cake. Who doesn’t uses box cake mixes if customers don’t have the budget for scratch cake, what’s surprising about this? I’m confused.
As I mentioned above, I think she is trying to show that you can purchase a boxed mix and turn it into a beautiful cake with your own skills and supplies. Then you don't have to go to a professional baker and pay the big bucks. Pretty smart of her, don't you think? :o) Instead of people getting snarky, they should be thanking her for the free lessons. lol

Still not understanding like this is not something new or astonishing every bakery does this and should I add cake designer does this even home bakers sorry, I don’t see it your way, but take care
