Adyashanti - Experiencing Through the Heart

  • Adyashanti explores the vast capabilities of the heart-how it has an infinite capacity to empower you and liberate you from the narrative of your mind. By letting your mind rest, your other capacities are allowed to come online, which allows heart-centered actions to take center stage. By retiring old stories that your mind has created about experiences, you are freed from the relentlessness and repetitiveness of your mind. By realizing the inherent limited nature of feelings and emotions, you are able to experience things as they truly are. Adyashanti offers up the option that there is an alternative to the interpretive network of the mind-and invites you to experience this for yourself.

    Quotes from this video:
“The most profound experiences of openheartedness are often when our mind is overwhelmed by beauty, or intimacy, or closeness. Then there is this extraordinary, heartful availability. Those moments are like glimmers beyond the veil that humans tend to live their lives behind-that there is actually something quite extraordinary right on the other side of this narrative.”
“Our mind is making up about 99% of all the experiences we have-emotional experiences, feeling experiences, and all the rest.”
“When you realize that what you’re actually experiencing is your mind-from one point of view it’s rather disappointing and from another point of view it’s extraordinarily empowering-because it means you have a lot more options than you ever imagined about how to experience anything.”
“The present moment is actually creating the experience of the past.”

The present creates the past, paradoxical to the conventional notion the past creates the present . This simple and settle truth can change your world by simply shifting your perception.!!!

i always remember when i was a very young child going on an annual coach daytrip to the seaside with my parents and as the bus turned in to go into the parking area the sun was so intense and so bright and it seemed at that precise moment that the sea the sky everything was glistening and simply "alive" with this beautiful white golden light that shone around everywhere and it was just amazing i was so in awe of it and i still havent forgotten the lovely feeling it gave me and i certainly think it set me on my journey in wanting to know more and to learn more about spirituality. simply Love all your beautiful teachings Thankyou 🙏

It is true that past is not creating present in that sense that there is only present, but mind's behavior is molded and conditioned by past and totally influences our daily life.

Yeah, basically the past is creating the present if the mind chooses so.

Love the boat analogy. We describe/create the past mentally in the present.

Wake and wash created by your boat can damage the shoreline and may put smaller boats in danger. The choices we make may be made in the moment but the impact they have on those around can be devastating .

So true... until we jump into the silence of our being... we are only experiencing the mind.

But rowing a boat requires to look back at starting point of that starting past point and to have it always in view almost as if aiming backwards to go further in the shortest straight line travel possible. so the past is a must reference to be able to keep direction.

I think I agree with you but I also think he's pointing toward the experience of the ' freshness ' of the present moment ... we may be rooted in a true & actual history ( personal & otherwise ) but the present moment , if we are receptive to it , is always fresh ... I think that's the point he's trying to make ...

    • @MrFreezook
      @MrFreezook Před 3 lety

@@------6ampoems I agree the Present is very important. but without a past there is no present. Being only in the present make people self centered, arrogant and sometimes even insensitive. The Past is definitely creating the present. He's is encouraging self destruction, and denial.
He's offering Liberty which leads to Anarchy and Chaos.
While Freedom is linked to Truth and order. That's why "the truth shall set you free" it's something to rely on. while from his perspective there is nothing to rely on except you being like a tree and being. ... yeah right... the truth is , we are not trees.
Allen Watts was wrong. the present doesn't create the past. 100%
He is obviously living in denial. or he is incomplete, meaning no wisdom there.
He's looking at the wake ... but who does that ? real sailors look at other things than the wake. Solid stuff like land and stars to know their way.
