“Itsy Bitsy Spider" in the style of SOAD/System Of A Down metal cover by Anthony Vincent.

Knowing SOAD, if this was a real song, I'd probably be a overlooked metaphor for war or another social problem
"Well, you know, we looked at history and you know what they say - history repeats. 1930s, nobody can afford to eat. 2020s, nobody can afford to eat.1940, we got nazis. 2024, fucking nazis again. We really wanted to write a song to emphasize how we've been here before, and we'll probably be here again. We just as humans can't learn from our mistakes, and once the sun comes out and dries up all the rain we'll be climbing back up this same damn water spout in no time."
Metaphor, sure, but they never seemed particularly secretive to me.
Like a 8 armed secret entity that tries to cover the world with it's net but is held back by a good amount of rain that are metaphor for the people who act as a power of many but dying therefore when they reach the ground...
Housing crisis. The rain is landlords. The spout is the housing market.
I bet all those Nazis are exist in your tiny little virtue signalling brain.
Must be hard to have severe mental health problems and social media addiction without leaving your room and meet real people.
And now SOADs spiders in the style of the itsy bitsy spider
Yes please!
Thank you for making me laugh this morning. Also, this would be great!
yes this please!
the spider really went aerial on this
true
Getting way more Spiders vibes than Aerials.
More like Spiders 😭
That was sweet like SUGAR
Honestly soad is one of the only bands I can see doing this unironically. They would probably say it’s a metaphor for drug use or something.
Or they would say it's "Satanic" according to the conservatives.
@@bibianaguadalupeislasherre9880 SOAD would say that its satanic according to the conservatives?
@@bibianaguadalupeislasherre9880 North americans
Korn would also cover it
@@bibianaguadalupeislasherre9880 or 'racist' according to the Democrats. 😅
I can see Serj doing this just for shits and giggles
Yeah singing to his kids lol. Got my five year jamming to it. Going to make one of my kids a metal head.
How about Old McDonald Had A Farm in the style of Tool
In the style of Spiritbox
in the *STyLe* of *MiCHaeL McDoNaLD*
Well, it’d have to be like 11 minutes long… he might run out of animals, lol.
i swear this is just an excuse to do a cow tools joke
It sounds exactly like an unreleased SOAD track and it probably is 😂
It never ceases to amaze me how accurately Anthony identifies the tonal elements to profile artists and then executes a cover to sound EXACTLY like their general body of content. He even makes some "edgier" choices that simulate the type of sonic exploration a well-developed band engages in without losing the character of the artist or the nature of the song the interpretation is targeting so as not to sound like just another "generic" or "stereotypical" pieces of their work, despite being exactly that, by definition.
Well put!!
Itsy bitsy spider in the style of SOAD’s spiders. Love it!
Eventually he's going to do enough of these to release a children's song album. Lol, it would probably do pretty well.
I’d buy it for my kid if he did (and secretly love it myself like this one 😂)
i love that you did separate voices that sound exactly like both serj and daron during the harmonization!
Wow! That has to be the best rendition of a nursery rhyme I've ever heard! It's fantastic!
Damn that was cool.
... Does anyone else want a full album of children's songs and nursery rhymes in various metal and similar styles covered by Anthony? Because now it's a thing I didn't know I wanted!
SOAD is such an incredibly difficult band to imitate. With their sound ranging between quietly threatening and off-the-wall clown-shoes, not to mention their two totally unique vocalists. I've seen Anthony and others perform SOAD styles without even attempting to mimic Serj, for good reason. This has got to be the most spot-on imitation of the boys ever put to video.
Wow. Really makes you think. We're all the spider, and war is the rain.
It’s amazing how most bands are unique enough that it’s so easy to tell who you’re imitating
Only one problem... it didn't sound much like Serj's voice, cos the Armenian-American accent wasn't pronounced enough
@@nicknoble9693 he’s a different person. Of course the voice is going to be different. But he matches the instruments perfectly
@ble9693 Yeah, if it weren't for the instruments, I wouldn't have been able to tell he was doing SOAD. It's not even all about the accent; the vocals should be a lot more dramatic, dynamic and manic, and less like the generic nu-metal vocals we got here. I get that he can't sound exactly like Serj, but even in spirit, it doesn't sound right to me, and the vocals are probably SOAD's most notable aspect.
@@SuperWoodgod maybe you’re a bigger fan than I am and can see the nuances that are missing. Even though he doesn’t do direct parodies and usually just tries to do a pastiche of a certain band to me it usually sounds like he’s copying one song in particular, or sometimes combining two.
@@nicknoble9693check out moonieproduction. His impersonations of Serj & Daron voices give me goosebumps!
Now do Ring-Around The Rosy in the style of Korn!
Didn’t they do that?
Shoots and Ladders
@@TenSecondSongs I didn't know that! Wow!
@@BlackBloodCombatClub thanks
KNICK KNACK PADDY WACK GIVE A DOG A BOOOOONE!!!!
After all these years, you still surprise me with how good some of these are. Bravo
Why is this so freaking good? This might be my favorite thing you’ve done
God..these harmonies combined with that atmospheric guitar/bass build up into that heavy riff is so real man
I've seen SOAD live and they performed nursery rhymes just like this.
Thanks for this. My little girl really liked it and asked for it to be played again. It's the perfect gateway!
Wow! I love this! Please more of “Metal Nursery Rhymes” ❤
Itsy bitsy spider is my mom's lullaby. She's a lizard.
As a System mega fan, brother....You gave me chills!!!
So my 3 1/2 yr old was Watching this with me claping and singing along on the fist part of the song and as soon as you did the change up started headbanging and singing like you... I love my kid lol
That…goes surprisingly well together.
I actually want this to be a real full SOAD song now 😭
Yo i was babysitting the devil thanks for tje nursery rhymes put him to sleep real quick.
SOAD Can take a break again. You’re in charge now.
Bro nailed the classic SOAD breakdown. God I miss them
I love how you used the melody from the Spiders song, that's brilliant.
I had an uncle who was a singer in a band in the late 60’s/early 70’s called MC5. Would be cool to see a metal cover from one of their old songs.
Wow! Goosebumps, I LOVE SOAD
i will sing this version to my future kids
omg metal nursery rhymes my friend just showed me this thank you Jon :)
Welp. There it is. The most perfect thing I've seen on the internet today.
It's crazy how much that sounds like SOAD!
The itsy bitsy spout
Your lives have been washed out
Dreams of rain falling in my head
The spiders are in tune
Then out came the moon
Dreams of rain falling in my head
I hear a bit of "Mister Jack" in this...
I hear a lot more of 'Spiders', like a whole wagon of 'em.
Usually SOAD-style songs are not incredible. But this one is DISTURBINGLY SIMILAR, it's not easy to reproduce so well all that makes a"standard" SOAD song. Very well done.
the itsy bitsy goose bumps when up and down my arm
SOAD should addapt this in their set. Its fits way to well.
I feel like this could work as the intro to a SOAD song unironically.
Itsy Bitsy Spiders're all in tune.
I mean, they do have a song called Spiders and this wasn't too far from it. I really love the reimagined songs in the style of X (especially soad), but this one is just... how to say it... they already have a perfect song for it, why would I want this version? Don't get me wrong, the style, the singing is on point and it is top notch! Congrats! But all in all, I have the feeling that this turned out to be a "worse version of an existing song" rather than a "what if this entirely different thing was sung by them", latter which is generally the case of the "style of X" videos. Anyway, thank you for being you, and being awesome!
Life is a waterfall; we wash down the spout and we climb back up after the fall
That was just genuinely good, especially that drop.
Not sure what I was expecting when I came here... But you NAILED IT!!
Itsy bitsy spiders all in tune
Thank you for doing these; they are often a bright spot on dark days, and I love sharing them with non-metal fan friends as a way to get them asking questions and opening their minds.
I wasn't scared of spiders before I listened to this. Thanks.
... this is perhaps the metallest thing I've ever heard ... this has turned all my childhood memories into the video for The Cure's Lullaby ...
Spider went aerial ❤ 🔥
I’ll admit it, I listened to this song in one of my lifts. Please make an extended version of this song please!
I like nursery rhymes and I'm in my 20s, so what this is awesome.
My daughter is obsessed with this. Haha
Daaaaang. This works. It just works.
That is the best version of Itsy Bitsy Spider. I have ever heard. To bad my kids are to old to enjoy it. Keep it up.
This is fucking mint. No jokes. ME and my 5 year old daughter just rocked this out.
Where has this been my whole life?
Well, now I know what song to play my newborn nieces and nephews. Excellent music all around.
Thanks again!
I shall play this in my nursery 🔥🔥🔥
So haunting and creepy but also good
This popped on my Spotify Release Radar today.
And I can not stop listening. Actually, freaking, amazing. No idea why, but i am hO.Oked.
YES!! More nursery rhymes please! My son Leo is 3, loves moshing around but most metal lyrics are a bit "Too Metal" for my little information sponge atm!
He said it wasn't fast enough & needed more banging (Drums) 😄
I'd love more of these, need a metal nursery rhymes playlist haha.
Why do I love this, I know I shouldn't but I do.
My 14 month old loves this song. Gonna show her this cover tomorrow morning.
U naild it, very soad like, music singing i love soad they should play this on stage
I want this as my ringtone.
still waiting for you to cover the Wiggles fruit salad... the guy even says "anthony I have some grapes" it's too perfect
I'm waiting for baby bubble bee in the style of rammstien du hast lol
Why am I feeling emotional for Itsy Bitsy
SOAD sings nursery rhymes…. Would totally fucking sell!😂😂😂😂
This is far better than it should be. Love it. LOL
I'm going to need the Heavy Nursery Rhymes album eventually
YES! Well done, nailed it Anthony!
Should the fortunes ever hate coming generations enough for me to spawn them...I will play these!
now my toddler can mosh at daycare❤️❤️
Can you make a longer version? I cannot get this out of my head and I love it!
It sounds legit like a soad song
Surprised how well this works.
This is my new favorite series from you. Keep them coming!!! Fear Factory does Marry had a little lamb?
This is for real excellent seriously
So beautiful and amazingly awesome
now I really want to hear SOAD do this song!! LOL.
I'm blown out of my web. Wow
Honestly, this definitely seems like something that they would’ve done but made it a euphemism/metaphor for war or something
Holy Geezus... this is fucking art. Absolutely brilliant.
My childhood collides with my adulthood! 🎆
So spot on, it's uncanny
Heard this on the Quite Frankly podcast. Freaking awesome!
Just played this for my 3 year old… he loved it. 😎
Hi curly друг🙌🏼 nice to see someone like you. You sing really great. Thanks
What can I say, perfect for my daughters
As a SOAD fan I 100% endorse this as a lost system track
Incredible. Love this.
Wow SOAD sure went commercial with their latest album.
This makes me miss the old soad albums soooooooo much
Itsy Bitsy Spider in the style of Spiders
I see what you did there
