Well….with this video finished I have officially watched all of your content. Thank you for all that you shared, and I’m looking forward to seeing future videos.
I had used dried blood worms before but I think I like your idea of crushing the bigger worms . Also I usually flooded the worms to re-hydrate them but I like your idea of using a spray bottle, and add water as needed, instead of having too much water, which may make it more difficult to pick out the insect pieces.
@@venusflytrapworld yes, I've seen people say that you should never ever do that. Your video was clear, it's those people who confuses me. I'm Venus Noob and I'm doing my best to keep mine alive
thanks i just fed it my cat found a ant on the window sill this is cool and i fell a bit bad for torturing the ant because the plant wouldnt close but it was ok
I know this comment is year old, but I'll reply anyway - yes, it is actually bad. first, because the plant uses A LOT of energy to close these traps, and digest what's inside, and second, you may end up overfeedin it. it really needs just like like one bug a month or 2 and that's it. plus, it ain't really that necessary to feed it - the plant feeds itself through photosynthesis (just like any other plants) in good conditions(light, water, etc.) so feedin it is good to boost its growth and everything, obviously, but it ain't really that crucial to feed them the bugs, it can live without them, if it has good conditions. but if you overfeed it and place a bug in every single trap(and try to feed it a bug that is too large or too hard) it may end up killin the plant eventually, it'll rot pretty quickly. that's the mistake people who don't know anything about them and just saw one at k-mart or Walmart or wherever and pick it up only coz it's cool and to be able to show off to people "look, I have a Venus fly trap!!!" - they buy one and go home excited, put them into a random pot, with random soil and water it with tap or bottle, place them in a random spot where it ain't getting enough light, then go on a bug- hunt and start feedin them like crazy, while like I said, it only needs one bug and it's good for another month or 2, or even longer... they ain't that hard to maintain, but they DO NEED a right pot, unfertilized soil and clear water with no minerals and additions to it(the tap or bottle water that are made for us to drink are loaded with them) and plenty of sunlight(and they also need to have some winter conditions(50 to like 15 degrees) for a few months a year. and they definitely don't need 10 bugs at once, loaded into every single trap it has... if you mismaintain it like that, it probably won't even last 2 weeks lol.

I am glad you found the video useful. Using dried up bugs is practical.
Thanks for your comment!
Another excellent tip, didn.t know you could feed with dead bugs...wonderful vídeo, thanks alot
Glad you liked the tip!!
Thanks for this video! It really helped me!
I am glad it helped. Thanks for watching!
So cool watching the leaves close!!
Thank you! Soon the algorithm will do great things to you.
That would be great 🙌 Thanks for watching!
Hi again, can you do the same feeding to pitcher plants? Thank you
Yes. Use whole bugs and just drop them in 🪲
Thank you, it’s like having a hungry baby to look after. 😂
Pretty much 😂🤣
VFTs can use light to grow with so the insects are not as urgent as feeding a hungry baby.
@@pershop4950 I know. I think you took what I said as being literal . 😄
Thank you for the video. I wanted to know how to stimulate it while the dead bug is inside. Your video helped. 👍
This is super helpful, thanks!!
Glad it was helpful!
❤I love this video ❤
Sorry can,t see the name straight of the bugs..is it freeze mealworm, ? Thanks
Dried freeze mealworms. You can also buy bloodworms and crickets in most pet stores.
Why can.t you give the worm like it is , right out of the container? Thank you
It is best to rehydrate it, since they are dry. Soak them in distilled water for 5 minutes. Then, drain and use.
Thank you
$10 for a bottle?? Where are you buying them from?? I got more than that for $1.15
So why does people say you should never feed them?
To never feed Venus flytraps? It won't hurt them, but you don't Need to feed them. Its just a boost :)
@@venusflytrapworld yes, I've seen people say that you should never ever do that. Your video was clear, it's those people who confuses me. I'm Venus Noob and I'm doing my best to keep mine alive
I am glad you got it sorted out. It can be very confusing, especially when getting started
This doesn’t necessarily make sense because mine open the next day and still have the bug in there
Sometimes they are a bit of a mystery 🤔
Would it be possible to feed the dried shrimps that are sold for fish in this same method?
From the research that I’ve done it said they have to be triggered inside at least five times but I haven’t been able to get it to work
It should trigger with 2 touches :) thanks for watching!
It will help me when I get mine

I prefer dead bugs to I feel like it’s Kroul
This was awesome info I just got 2.. what if you do feed every trap on the plant is that bad??

I love your vidd
One of my traps caught a huge fly and now it has opened up again and the remains of the fly is still sitting there. Should I just leave it there?
I reckon you should try to activate the triggers again
I thought they could raw if they had too much liquid in them
Bugs can rot after the trap opens, but when it is closed it is sealed shut
Не очень хорошая идея, насекомое должно быть живым и шевелиться внутри ловушки.
