Trains at Brough - 12/08/2016

Filmed on 12/08/2016. (Season 3 Episode 47) Now, 2015 saw us travelling down the Yorkshire Coast Line between Bridlington and Beverley East Yorkshire where we saw a massive variety of class 158's in action.
Now it was time to travel down the mainline linking between York and Hull, first stop along the line being Brough. At this station, we see a variety of Arriva Rail North and First Transpennine Express services heading for variety of destinations including: Hull, York, Doncaster, Sheffield and Manchester Piccadilly.
At this station, we were supposed to have seen 1A94: Hull to London Kings Cross but this service was cancelled as there was an incident along the East Coast Mainline causing a lot of delays on the day.
First Hull Trains did still run but were heavily delayed because of the issues happening.

Great video mate. I still see that they have the original arm signals in place there? They used to have them at Barnetby but they got replaced in 2011 with those Bright-Tech LED signals.

Thank you. Yep, the original arm signals are still in use along this line. It is showing how times have moved on with mainlines with newer signals which sadly have been replacing the arm signals. Well, with the recent signaling problems with bright tech LED signals and to be perfectly honest, the old arm signals is the best ways. I hope these signals still have a long life ahead of them. On private railways, they still use the arm signals which is awesome to see :-)
